LoL well... since your group isn't receiving talismans to protect them from the encroaching darkness things will have to be done different.

We shall pray to the moon goddess, and then throw a massive party for the poor...or feed them if that's what you're into.

Re: OOC 1 - Group 2
I figure we could start group 2 when we have a minimum of 3-4 people. We can have others join up as they come. Technically there is 3 people... just waiting on the 3rd to finish his RTJ...

Re: OOC 1 - Group 2
we could always start slow...like just arriving at the city and getting a feel for the place. Get into character and maybe meet before the 'meeting' that we'll have.

Ya, that would be fine... I will check on the 3rd and see where he is at in the process... I would hope you can start this weekend.

So, Fidelias, you okay with being more stealthy? Seems we have a low key...relatively...group. Keep the quest on the DL, you know.

In reply to Salinda (msg # 31):

Hrm I think my character can get into a stealth thing. He's meant to be brash though so he may just charge out when he feels like it :P

Nah that'll be fine. He'll just sneak up and cut bitches in half with his rusty claymore

We'll need to get him a new blade, then. Or at least a repair. you know, money in, money out. Salinda has seen a few fortunes in her travels. Others needed it more.

Re: OOC 1 - Group 2
It's an heirloom that Fidelias will refuse to part with, but it could easily be repaired. He also has some smithing skills, but he's nervous to work on the heirloom, so maybe we'll build that in somewhere and get some training from a smith as well as the blade repaired.

I'm also toying with the idea of the blade, at some point, manifesting magical potential and calling it Amoracchius, a blade from the Dresden Files that you later find out is Excalibur and was forged from one of the nails of the cross Christ died on, called a Sword of Faith. I'm not a religious person at all, so hopefully that idea doesn't upset anyone, and I'd obviously have to get the GM's approval as well as build it into the story properly... but yeah, toying with that idea.

Re: OOC 1 - Group 2
I'm very familiar with Dresden. I loved the atheist knight of the cross. He was great.

And, yeah, we can get him some training, definitely. I think the goal is for all of us to expand greatly in a way. The Lodoss connection is the thing I'm thinking of.

There are always things, though, that can be a relic? Perhaps something from before the war that could help this group along with other points from all our histories? Just thinking of ways to deal with the darkness like the other group, but through story versus fiat.

Re: OOC 1 - Group 2
There are infinite possibilities given the scenario you will be in for the weapon to become something greater than what it initially is... so don't worry about that.
It just gives me something to develop with your character which is a GOOD thing.

Haha I kinda figured, but I thought the name of the blade would still be cool to incorporate as long as you were alright with the adaptation I came up with for it. I liked buried references, and I think people like to dig them up :P

Have you played Earthdawn? I like the system to unlock items...don't like the system otherwise. More a Shadowrun Fan.

Re: OOC 1 - Group 2
Never checked out Earthdawn, I am not opposed to buried references but I honestly prefer to create new concepts. Like I have opened up lore creation to anyone in the game, so that allows us to create a concept that might have relevance to the world before the time of the "rending" and then apply that concept to said sword and boom we have our own reference. with a buried reference that stays with this world of lore... but I digress... I think I need a beer. brb

Re: OOC 1 - Group 2
Well, I was thinking of that. the premise of finding more out about things and you can unlock potential. And it's stepped as you find out more. Works for all sorts of characters.
