Plus we should probably discuss our krewe's (or at least, the part of our krewe that's travelling to Cleaveland's) history a bit.

It involves Samantha and her former ties to the city. We are still locking down the specifics, but the gist is that she needed help finding the Ghost of someone she had a strong connection with.

If anyone has that 1 NWoD character they’ve always wanted to play, but have never gotten a chance; give this game a look.

It’s a Beast: the Primordial game that I’m co-GMing, but I’d be just as interested in running a group of non-Beast characters centered around an NPC Beast or single PC Beast if anyone wants to take that role.

I thought a cool plot would be a gang of runaway supernaturals who are mentored by a Beast. That isn’t set in stone in any way, but was an idea I had.

If you’ve got too much on your plates with this game and the L5R game, I completely understand. I also have full intentions of continuing to GM both of those games as well.

As a Geist game note. Our beloved Z has begun tearing through the book. I figure by the end of the weekend we should have at least a semblance of a character from them.

I hope to finish out our Krewe building by next week, then start the game as a whole.

If anyone has anything they are having a hard time with, concept or mechanic wise, don't hesitate to ask.

I believe I'm the groups bruiser! Though it's relying entirely on The Rage haunt, so no non-supernatural bruising.

Kat's specialties are: working with machines, socializing (generally with less-savory types), driving very fast, and beating the crap out of people via her angry ghost.

Dante is one of the Prey, focused on Shroud and maybe Caul.  With Primeval, and Stillness, he'll be mostly a killing machine, having been one in life.  Now he seeks to depart from his old ways, though his geist may have other opinions on that.

The life of a black ops was never the path he chose, but one chosen for him by a domineering general of a father.  Those are skills he possesses, and not who he is.  Free of his father, and of that life, he is seeking to find himself.  Not knowing what that is, he delves the land of the dead, searching as most mourners for lost things, but does so in an attempt to find himself, as he hasn't found himself in anything in the modern world.

In short, his exterior attempts to plunge the underworld in search for lost knowledge is but a reflection of that interior quest he is engaged in.  A journey of self discovery, he is a sort of monk (more eastern philosophies, than the Christian variety).  Put a little dash of native American fetishism, due to his Aztec linage, noble savagery due to his geist, and a life of spec. ops. before his death, and you have the character.

That is an excellent bit of personal story arc, but it doesn't answer the question of what you bring to the Krewe?  You're playing damaged goods, that can be fun, but what's your angle to integrate with everyone else?

I thought that was evident in the muscle factor.  He protects the crew on their deep dives into the underworld.

I'm still grabbing the setting, and evidently I just read the wrong book, but as far as I understood it we are after lost knowledge, art, and you name it as mourners.  This lost stuff is found in the underworld.  The underworld is a dangerous place.  Hence Dante's contribution to the Krewe, a sneak, and a thug.  In the mean time he's picked up a few things here and there on the occult, and always knew the basics of investigations.

Ties into their being Kindly.

They were a day trader for a long time, quite good at it, and built their initial fortune.  Nothing world shattering, but their first million or two.

In 2009, they got into  cryptography, and were one of the initial people to buy into something called BitCoin?  Turns out, cryptocurrency is the one thing you CAN take with you when you die.  All their stocks, bonds, and assets were recouped when they killed themselves (you are allowed to be a suicide, right?).

Their cryptocurrency?

Where that was all waiting for them after the Bargain.
