I've actually been here since the beginning. Tanya's weaker because she's only been dead for five months.

In reply to Daniel Flanders (msg # 968):

Tanya has been here since the beginning. Actually her player has been playing since the beginning of my last game, which had over 3k posts.

As for the 'flood' of new players (4), I've had over a dozen players join and produce 3 posts before leaving the game. It goes with the territory for PbP games. Should we have held events and meet-and-greets for them as well?

It's just not practical.

Liz would push for an actual election though unfortunately we have to be keenly aware that the existence of Majesty and Dominate allows you to grossly, gratuitously, and flagrantly undermine the basic tenets of democracy in a far more expedient fashion than campaign donations will ever achieve lol.

In reply to Storyteller (msg # 970):

Look, I'm just trying to give some suggestions, okay? This is something that's worked for me in previous games, so I thought I'd give some advice on how to better integrate the PCs. That's all.

And Tanya, I was going off your lower post count- I assumed you'd been here only a little bit less time than myself.

Hey, when in doubt, shut up and pay attention. Harder to stick a clawed foot down your throat that way. :P

I accept the suggestion.

Please accept my suggestion of possibly taking it upon yourself to gather with the other new players in a 'less chaotic' thread.

Look at Pyotor, Remir and Tala. They've kept mostly on the sidelines while getting to know the game.

Re: General OOC chat #2:
Daniel isn't really a "sidelines" kinda guy, in case you haven't noticed. I mean, one of his defining characteristics is a tendency to go around wearing a bright red suit- the dude doesn't exactly go out of his way to not stick out.

Also, we're getting pretty close to 1,000 posts in this thread, so we should probably make a new OOC thing anyway.

If you promise not to use the new one before this reaches 1000, I will create it.

No cheating to get the #1 post.

Note to self: put more dots in Athletics for Molotov throwing.

Also: I just realized how to use Disney villain songs to explain feminism. Go me?

Re: General OOC chat #2:
My back up character admittedly was going to be nothing but Athletics 5... Obfuscate... Celerity... and a bunch of crafts and science. <.<

You can imagine where that'd go.

As to the second point; Odd revelation but alright then!

Re: General OOC chat #2:
How do we handle Ghouls? Do I play mine out or have the GMs handle it? He's often going to be around with Pyotor's growing concerns over the city going up in flames in spite of his efforts.

So yeah, just want to figure that out.

In reply to Elizabeth Carrol (msg # 979):

Well, I occasionally like to go through my song library when I need inspiration (using this for Daniel at the moment: http://youtu.be/aEryAoLfnAA ), and came upon "Hellfire" from The Hunchback of Notre Dame. As I was listening, I realized "holy shit, this could be sung from 8chan's perspective" and my brain started running in strange places.

Also, Pyotor you just reminded me of something. Do ghouls work any differently in nWoD 2.00 than they do in 1.0?

Generally, you play them out.

Also, I thought the meeting was secure, hence my conversation.

Re: General OOC chat #2:
What's not secure about 3 vampires talking in a bar full of kine. But, really? It's a bar not a secret private secure location.

If you're really worried about it, you can make a perception roll to see if anyone is paying attention to you.

Re: General OOC chat #2:
It's kind of understandable to default to the assumption of a private establishment. It's how so many of these things go down.

Luckily, I'm the source of precious few breaches to the Masquerade... mostly because I damn well know I can't be seen by the public. :P

The a Clash of Wills roll is only BP + Discipline Dots vs. BP + Discipline Dots. No other factors apply.

So Michael asked an interesting question:

Who is most afraid here?

That's not something I can answer for anyone but the NPC's.

Anyone scared?

~laughs~  Oh shit, Maeve and Elizabeth's presence is the only reason Rebecca feels confident talking back to Ward.  If Maeve is leaving, Rebecca is bailing fast.
