Body Armor, Force Fields, and Intensities

So...remember how everyone had questions about Body Armor vs Force Fields?

And how I said the main difference was simply that Body Armor had weak points you could Bullseye around (while worn, of course) and Force Fields didn't, but they had to be projected/activated beforehand?

Turns out that's the not supposed to be the only difference -- there's another, more interesting one.

In addition to the above:

Body Armor is supposed to be 20 points less effective against Energy attacks.

Force Fields are supposed to be 10 points less effective against non-Energy attacks.

As I believe it would introduce more interesting counterplay in general, I would like to implement these changes, but not before sourcing feedback from you guys first.

Would anyone be opposed? Would anyone want to make changes to their defensive solutions as a result? Keep in mind the changes would apply to the villains you face, as well.

Thoughts?

I'm okay with it, but probably would want to rejigger Billy after some actual play with the change since it makes my white result an actual wiff against the majority of foes.

Sure, we can talk about it. That's fair game while we discuss the change.

I like any system that rewards ingenuity over magnitude.

A not-so-recent example being Starcraft 2, where units of one type could demolish units of another (rock, paper, scissors style) — often while being outnumbered 2:1.

Also works to root out pay-to-win as a possibility (via karma / gen pts) and rewards party and combat diversity.
