Sorry for the lack of updates on my end. This is, in part, because you have been doing some great bantering and I didn't want to interrupt that flow. It is also, in part, because my daughter's having a birthday this weekend and the holidays are coming and I'm absolutely slammed.

I owe Roger some backstory clarification before he can truly weigh in on his version of Briggs's interpretation of AOS/COS history. I probably owe the same to Frank and Aviva, honestly. Will try to sort that out and then we can press onward.

In the meantime, please don't let me interrupt the banter!

Ooc- I purposely haven't because her survival and my treatment of her therein is an undeniable piece of proof that Frank was able to put her disdain of Invictus aside for the greater good. It is a necessary counterweight against Briggs and a wedge inserted firmly against Billy's perceptions of who Frank is.

Put simply- it behooves me not to lie. That's how Frank is doing the math, anyway.

So I actually thought about it and by my count Billy has been primarily responsible for at least attempting the destruction of a major structure or structures on at least three occasions in-game and only once didn’t attempt to get clear everyone he did not specifically intend to be exploded.  I realize this is Frank lashing out at a judgmental stranger but he genuinely does have some expertise in controlled collateral damage and I find that really funny.

An abstraction of potential destruction is not equivalent to the imminent threat of actual demolition. That you equate them and cannot remove yourself from grand strategy and engage with us mortals here in the day to day milieu of apparently needing to thank you for salvation is your hypocrisy, and you seem to wear it with similar ease.

Frank turns and makes for her bunk, having nothing more to say to the asshole needing fisting.

FYI- Unless you have specifically addressed Frank in character about your bug fight, she doesn't know about it, and I the player make an effort to not read any dialogue or GM dumps that Frank isn't a part of. We're equally blind in that regard!

No, I don’t know that anything has been made explicit to those who weren’t in the hive, and Billy kept his space suit on for most of the day so even evidence of his ass kicking would be minor.  The Exilium crew would’ve been the only ones left out of the SOS regarding it too, unless Frank or Aviva would bother to debrief with Wren or Franklin, who were physically present for it.

That sounds like work for Wren or Franklin ;)

Unrelated, my daughter got some stickers for Christmas. One of them was a lion with no features on it, and a bunch of stickers to put on it sort of like a Mr potato Head. She put most of the teeth on the lion's bushy tail. And then a second mouth where the mouth is supposed to be. And this is the kind of creature that I may or may not just have to add to Ceto because it's just perfect.

When and if that happens, you will have my daughter to think for this.

On a more serious note, you may have noticed at the top of the website when you log in a disclaimer that says that we will soon be moving to something called responsive mode. I have resisted this change because I don't really like the new format. But, it is no longer optional. In a few days it's going to force us to transfer over to that version of this website. It will look more like a traditional forum, and ultimately I think we'll end up liking it just fine.

Anyway, if you see visual changes to the website, that's why. Know that it is out of my control, and it's probably ultimately for the best. This website is pretty dated, and even the responsive website that we're moving to looks 10 years old.

You don't have to make any changes on your end of things. The update will happen with no action taken, and the same URL will display the new version of the website.

Now back to your regularly scheduled festivities!

Hey guys, I wanted to give a quick update on things.

Currently out of town, very busy with parenting and holiday stuff. I'm assuming a lot of you are in the same boat. I plan to resume updates again on January 3rd. If you guys want to play in between, please post! But, the next plot update will happen on the 3rd at some point.

I hope you have a very Happy New Year, and thank you so much for making 2023 a lot of fun for me creatively!

I'm going to be dodgy for a bit as well. My wife is due with our 2nd this Saturday, so sometime soon I'm going to be on baby duty!
