Standard-issue stuff depends on your starting resource level. Everyone should have a few changes of clothing, but if you want things like a car, or a fancy watch, or an annual paid membership to the Interplanetary UBER Shuttle Service, you'll need the cash-money to back it up.

Basic kit and everyday essentially will be taken care of for you initially by the outfit for which you'll all be working.

Ok, I've done a slice of life (so to speak) in the dead of deep space and in a run-of-the-mill city on Earth. Is there another place you'd like to see the prologue explore before we lock in the PCs  themselves? Voting is now open!

Setting Question:

If wage disparity was reduced to no more than 10:1, did that not just essentially lock social mobility such that the already rich families stayed rich? Or were estate taxes introduced to dismantle inherited wealth?

Estate taxes dismantle a large chunk of the wealth in question, but more importantly the globalized economy does not have "offshore accounts" or special "capital gains rates", which makes it much easier for the world's governments to reclaim massive amounts of wealthy from the massively wealthy.

That IS a better question. I could absolutely run a campaign with what we have, but without a front-line fighter you'll have to be careful about the engagements you choose.

When I take damage, it has a chance to activate and proc an effect.

When I deal damage, it has a chance to active and proc an effect.

Aaron rolled the "Take damage" on my behalf.

I have AWFUL dice karma in this game.

Regardless of how this ends, Flux will stay built as he is. He makes more sense conceptually (it's much more in line with how I wrote the character) and practically (he's a bruiser now as opposed to a flourish mage).

Battle Tempo needs to be clarified. You rolled it, but technically I have no allies here to benefit from it. I am completely in line with the benefit also applying to Flux (would make sense conceptually and practically), but it is not how the power is explicitly written in the approved character sheet.

It's a yellow success no matter what (the 2 cs from unarmed/flying)

2) Battle Tempo can apply to yourself, as well. I'm fine with that.

3) Nice slam. I'm going to translate that into additional damage because the material strength of the simulator is super-duper strong.

I kind of get what Flux (this iteration) does now. His abilities kind of make him a slam monkey (which honestly makes sense if you're being punched by someone who can control gravity and its exertion on you) and a pit of a grappler (using singularity to pin downed opponents).

2 bad rolls to start or Bobby and I are basically just going blow for blow. The difference is I'd like to think Flux is a little more utilitarian, and has WAY more room for growth/expansion.

Thoughts from a GM perspective though, since he is a glorified Bobby Fistpunch, with the addition of Battle Tempo and the ability to Faux grapple?

It is not. But it IS a deviation from the psychic vampire the player wanted at first.

Just could not find a way to make that heroic. Even vaguely :P
