Amiri smiles as she looks at the warrior.

Hi, I am Amiri Flamestorm, bound by Pact to Kossuth. May our adventures be bright and colorful.

Re: The Halfling Lad's Story

Someone reports that there are no more Redbrands at the pub, so no one will come looking for these six ruffians, at least not till morning.

They can be locked in the cellar without any problems, though it probably wouldn't hurt to have a guard. They probably won't stay unconscious the whole time.

Anybody who needs rest during the night can get it.

Morning rolls around and Carp is already there, cleaning the floor and tables as you begin showing up.

Lair Crashing

She'd never caught any wyrms from rising early, but then she'd never gone wyrm hunting... on an empty stomach at any rate.

Without a horse to tend to, she was outside going through her weapon maneuvers. Some monk had once told her it was called 'kata' but she didn't speak whatever language that was. She just knew it was important for a warrior to practice with her weapons, to remain limber and flexible.

She spent about a half hour at practice before heading inside for a hearty breakfast.

"G'mornin', Carp!" she calls out to the Halfling lad. "You're up pretty early!"

Mithra soon finds she's not the only early riser. The burly man soon joins her outside, though politely lets her have her own space. He walks several paces away, then kneels, facing the rising sun. He withdraws his greatsword and holds it aloft with both hands.

"I give you thanks for all you do. For obstacles and smooth roads, too. For challenges that make me grow, and all the pleasant things that show. That you are looking out for me, I thank you Ancients. Blessed be!"

He bows his head then stands. Like Mithra, he spends about the next half hour going through basic attack moves with the large weapon, honing his already impressive skills.

"May I sit with you," he asks Mithra once back inside.

Amiri sits at a table and pulls out a candle lighting it. Then staring at the candle she speaks.

Lord Kossuth, tend the flame of my life. Light my paths and purify any evil in me.

Lair Crashing

Maldor had discovered some scraps of meat and picked at them to satisfy his morning hunger. A small moan of satisfaction emerged from him. A normal bystander would figure that approaching him at this moment would not be a good idea.

But soon the half-orc was finished. He scanned the room for his awakening teammates.

"When go get bad humans and teach lesson?" Mal asked with a surprising innocence.

Ero emerges from the cellar where he was guarding the prisoners.  They stayed rather sedate after he conjured up a ball of flame and explained to them what a fireball would do in such a confined space.  He hadn't yet relearned how to cast Fireballs but how would they know?

He spots only Amiri in the tavern.  She seems to be talking to a candle.  He looks around, hoping to spot someone else.  No luck.  He sighs and goes to join the hot-tempered half-human.

"Good morning to you, Maid Flamestorm.  May I join you?"

Serena is sitting nearby, strumming her lute and in general creating a pleasant, breakfast-y ambiance. Beside her is a plate of food and some juice she got for free from the inn's owner. Between songs, she would eat some and drink some before starting another. The lute songs were more slow placed and relaxing, given it being breakfast time and all.

Artem comes inside after being outside doing who knows what. He is a little sweaty and breathing hard, but he's in a good mood.

"Mornin' all, what's for grub?" he asks as he leans on Serena's table and absentmindedly begins to reach for one of her breakfast tidbits .

"Breakfast is delicious, compliments to the cook."
Besides some small talk he is all ready to go.

"Ham and eggs, fruit and nuts, porridge, bread and honey... even flapjacks and jam, if you want 'em. I think the cook was expecting us to be hungry when we got up!"

"Everyone sleep okay? Ready to go kick some bad guys?"

"I am ready, Mithra! Let's go bring some good into the world."

OOC: Sorry; didn't mean to snub you, Bear. Just didn't read the posts back far enough. :-(

When Bear asked if he could sit with her, Mithra had nodded assent, but the large man seemed to have missed it. He sat anyway, which Mithra thought was a good sign.

Out in the field, so to speak, you had to anticipate what your allies were going to do as much as you needed to predict the enemy's actions.

"Pleased to meet you, Bear. I'm Mithra," the warrioress replies when Bear introduces himself.

"What brings you to Phandalin? Most of us here were hired to bring some wagons to town. I think we were hoping for adventure. We've already found some. We're about to go find some more!"

"Adventure? Pray tell, did I hear you say you say were seeking an adventure?" says a human male, sitting at an adjacent table. He is wearing Scale armor and has a mace at his side. A shield with an emblem of a burning candle over an open eye rests against one of the table legs. "Do you have room for one more? I've been looking for adventurers. I'm handy with this mace and know a spell or two that might be useful."
