Hi GM. Still waiting on my query. I’m planning to either attack or keep moving, but don’t know my position relative to the enemy.

As I probably mentioned, ever since I caught COVID back in October, I've felt like crap even after it went away. Supposedly, the aftermath leaves you tired for months. So I don't have enough energy to post very often most days, and when I do, I'm barely managing to do chores and run errands.

Last two weeks, I've been having minor chest pains on my right side (I'm not an alien--I only have one heart and it's on the left). While I thought it was just a muscle strain from lifting something, my previous heart problem and age had the VA nurse advise me to go to the ER.

So Thursday afternoon, that's what I did! After two days of poking and prodding and inspecting and injecting, they finally determined that I had absolutely no heart concerns. They sent me home Saturday morning with a $600 prescription! At least the first month is free, but unless the VA covers it, I won't be taking that next month.

And the stupid part is that I felt worse when I got discharged than I did when I went in!

Outside of the hospital, though, someone suggested my tiredness/lack of energy may be due to an iron deficiency, which might also account for my lack of appetite.

And then there's the insomnia... haven't slept in five days.

Anyway, I felt a little better today, so we'll see what happens tomorrow.

Getting closer to Xmas, and although I normally find myself with more time than I can imagine, I know it's not the same for everyone.

I am in Wisconsin, USA. Canada is only a stone throw away. Already got some snow and artic conditions. Just glad I am on vacation most of this month. I get to stay indoors and be lazy. After the next update, my next post for the character might be a full chapter. :) I have typed many a rough draft depending on what happens. :)

Melbourne here....so weather (though usually warm) has been a bit chaotic

To prove how weird the UK is it was -7c where I live on Friday, then +14c yesterday. Hell, it was still +13c at midnight!!! That's nuts! And I have a stinking cold so one minute my body feels cold then next minute boiling hot so I'm swapping from thick jumpers and walking socks to jersey shorts and t-shirts!

But enough griping, have a Great Winter Solstice everyone!

It is done!!

I commissioned some artwork that would closely resemble the character I am roleplaying. And then through some trial and error, I was able to finally able to get it to show on rpol.

And yes, I am an anime fan. :)

Nice! If you crop the picture to get a nice-sized portrait you can submit it to RPOL for inclusion in the gallery. It might take a while but once done you can make it your portrait.

Two days ago in Cheyenne, Wyoming, it was -41F (with windchill factor)!  Most of the U.S. is in for a very cold Christmas! It's expected to get down close to freezing here in SW Florida.

New year and the continuation of the story. Yea! But might as well discuss about the elephant in the room. Due to the long hiatus, some characters will not be coming back. With everyone being in a fight, the GM will have to NPC these characters along with trying to hold the complicated world together. Will the strain be too much? The GM will tell us if this game is dead or not. I do hope the games continues but if it endangers the GM's health...then we all know what must be done.

This is just a game that can be easily replaced. A human life is not.

While not quite "in the bag" the fight I am in seems to have passed the uncertainty point and is now close to mopping up.

If we have characters we know are never getting an active player again we could restart with a cinematic conclusion to the fights that plays on the sacrifice of spare characters.

That is a bit of typing for the GM to prepare but should be a bit easier than trying to detail out the fights and gain story momentum simultaneously.

I fully intend to keep playing
