I almost never kill off characters, not even abandoned ones. I don't like it when a GM does it to a character that I've invested time and effort to create, so I won't do it to others.

I drag abandoned characters around as NPCs until the current scene lets them leave the group naturally.

But that's a good point, Cinnabar. Maybe that is the way to go. I'll give it some thought tomorrow...

Worst case, the abandoned characters could be requested to "hold down the fort" to ensure orcs don't regain a foothold.

But anyway, Merry Xmas to all!

Getting then to hold the fort is a good plan to phase players out...their not killed off, and the ones still around can continue

Though I was looking for a great climatic battle with great orc chief in the town square....this might be a better option.

The 'holding the fort' till the region's leaders decide what to do with the properties that are now orc free. If left alone, more monsters and bandits would use the ruins as bases again. A little disappointing and anti-climactic is putting it mildly.

But the good news is: The Two Battle rule. Level up! If the GM decides it so.

At least the group Nemeia is in:

1. Pointless battle with mad halflings and horse people.
2. The battle with the orcs in building 10.
3. The 'maybe skimmed over' battle with the orc chief and other orcs in the town square.

LEVEL UP!

The belt would work great for the character but...I know others need it more. *cries* So, I am asking for the belt pouch since the character came into the game with only the stuff she was using to fight and then the chaos of her magical entrance. :)

Only one, no?

One bonus action is the usual limit.  It is harder to get extra bonus actions than it is to get extra normal actions, and most of the time you can't do a bonus action thing with a normal action.

As for magic items the only one Cinnabar can even use is one of the rings, assuming they are even size appropriate to halflings.

Thanks, yeah, just found the passage on p.189 of PH.
With my two-weapon-style that Scimitar of Speed has become less interesting. It is, however, a +2 weapon, so awesome even so.
Anyway, if someone else wants it because they don't already have a bonus action 'set' I am perfectly willing to step back.

Having been on hiatus a while, and playing a Monk, I'm not really going to weigh in on treasure distribution. I don't feel I earned anything in particular.

A monk with a 21 strength...hhmmm

Chances are some people can get 10 or 12 points of strength out of that thing, but I would much rather see a fighter type use 3 or 4 points well if they can.

So if you hit stuff with other stuff and have a 16 or lower hitting stat speak up and you get a new belt with or without orc smell.

While my STR is 14, my damage comes from DEX, so I'd get rather little from it.

How and where do we continue?
Transport all that equipment to the village? Search for any clues?

Maybe we are waiting for an update saying everyone is now gathered together. Then the leader of the group says or suggest what should happen now. Some roleplaying options. Nemeia has some...choice...words what a leader should be doing. :)

Or GM decides to fast forward where everyone meets up at castle and then divides the group between the crypt or the "sudden appearance' of 'mage tower' that has the curse to drive people insane.

I was hoping for some more roleplaying between characters but oh well. Mainly waiting on who gets what before moving on. Just waiting on some people to update their actions.

Plus many people are used to posting once every two or three weeks. :)

I could find time to post almost every day. I check the main page every day, some days multiple times if I'm bored.

I used to be the same. Nowadays, I get caught up with the family etc or just simply end up doing other things instead.

So let's RP! Don't have to all just stand around and distribute treasure, lol.
