Re: Treasure Distribution

I can't find anywhere in the CRB that says Barbarian and Monk bonuses don't stack with Barkskin, but, then again, weak definitions/explanations. Barkskin works WITH armor but doesn't stack with it.

Liquid Armor should stack with those things, though, so if Biff is using a shield, his AC would be 24.

Willem is proficient will all Simple and Martial Weapons, so even though he may not have a ranged one at the moment, he could use them. There are probably around a hundred javelins in a pile in one of the caves. Every Orc carried at least 3, and most of them never got a chance to throw them.

Even Manaen can't copy that many spells overnight! He hasn't gotten back to me on how long he was planning to stay awake and copy spells. Ero will wind up with the Grimoire so doesn't need to copy any spells right now, unless there's one or two that he wants to be able to cast right away. He can probably manage to copy two spells from there.

Same with Sala and the Atlas. He can copy them later.

Same with Manaen and the Compendium. He can copy them later.

So, if anyone else wants to learn a spell from the books, specify which ones that'll be done overnight. Probably no more than 2 or 3 can be done during the night, unless you stay up all night and sleep on the trail. Otherwise it will take a few days.

If you Travel with Manaen, he can copy all the spells from his spellbook into your spellbook in just under four hours. He might even be able to do it while riding on one of the Travelling Disks if someone else is controlling it.

It looks like Sala is split from Manaen moving forwards, so it would be a good idea for Sala to try for as much help as he can from the tortle beforehand. Most of the usable spells of my level and even up to level 4 shouldn't take too long. It's the addition of the 5th to 6th level spells that add a few hours.

We do have more than one wizard in the party that could use some of this help too though. But that being said there are only a few spells I'd truly need right off.

As long as we have a combo of one or more wizards having all the spells from the books across our books in the party heading out with Mithra, we should be good. If Manaen does as he says, that leaves two copies of each spell available to be transcribed from us.

Manaen said he was going to stay up all night, so that's a good 12 hours of him copying spells, even allowing for a few breaks.

That means he's copied all the spells into Sala's book and all the spells into Theirastra's book. All that's required is for each of you to re-attune your spellbook to you, which only requires one hour of being in your possession. Sleep with your head on it, and you're all set.

That doesn't bother her one bit. She's a eladrin elf, closest to the fey an elf can get, basically part fey and lives in the Fey wyld! If anything, she loves it!

Re: Treasure Distribution

I am already carrying 6 javelins, and some other stuff. I am wondering if I should carry more. I have crazy strength, but I guess it's more about space management. I would like to put in a request to Thia that she load up on 18 javelins in the Efficient Quiver, and stash them in town.

Actually can someone give me a rundown of wyvern tor? I got in pretty late. Just a system of caves with carved in rooms? Can we make it a stronghold or is it too remote?

Anyway, I would like it if we got ALL the weapons and stashed them in town.

Was there gold type treasure? Can we buy a bunkhouse?

Re: Treasure Distribution

Wyvern Tor is the tallest of the mountain range that lies around 100 miles southeast of Neverwinter which is up on the coast.

The closest 'town' is the village of Phandalin which is about 75 miles to the west... out towards the coast, so leaving the javelins and other weapons in town is impractical at this time.

Wyvern Tor got its name because several wyverns used to nest on the peak until some adventurers took care of the problem.

The caves and carved-out rooms was a monastery about 100 years ago. It was pretty much unknown to everyone. A massive Orc invasion occurred in the area around 100 years ago. Whether it had anything to do with the demise of the monks is uncertain, but they were apparently all killed about that same time. No one seems to have been here since... until these new Orcs made camp in the front caves. The Orcs hadn't been here long, probably not more than a day or two, so they hadn't explored the caves yet, presumably because they were intent on raiding Phandalin.

There was 537 silver pieces and 38 gold pieces found among the 107 Orcs. It was all gathered up when the bodies were 'looted', gathering all the great axes and javelins that the Orcs had wielded. The great axes are only of fair quality and haven't been particularly well-maintained.

The Orcs didn't really have much of value on them... probably why they were raiding.

Well if you have high standards then I'm definitely your type, you're just not mine. lol!

After all, why would a noble born Eladrin ever toil with a lowly thing like you? :)

Guess I picked a bad time for a vacation :)  -- actually it doesn't seem that any of the items would be of huge interest to me anyways, except possibly the boots of speed, 10 minutes of 80' movement could come in handy at some point!

Apologies for that. Without knowing when you were going to post again, I really couldn't hold up the game for you. It just means you'll get first pick out of the next hoard!

Well, there was a Bag of Holding from the ogres that was party treasure that Krivath was carrying and he gave it to Prizzard, plus the Haversack that was found. So, there should be any need to carry much of anything.

No worries -- Timing was pretty bad overall as I had only just joined and managed to fight maybe 2 orcs :)

Ero certainly has no need for the Headband of Charisma, so he'll go with one of the rings.
