Business: Mystical Memories (Tattoos, Statues, Magic Items)
Walking through the door, most are amused by their first glance at the split nature of Mystical Memories, and a comfortable, welcoming feeling invites everyone to browse at their leisure.

Looking to the right, the far wall is covered with detailed pictures of a variety of subjects from animals and monsters to shapes and even a few written phrases in other languages. Placed in a row along that wall is a series of chairs with stools next to them, a place for customers to be given tattoos.

Looking to the left, it looks more like a souvenir shop. There are shelves with small statuettes, a few colorful articles of clothing and hats, even a small basket with walking sticks. Behind the counter are several fancier display cases in a recessed portion of the wall. Within these are two sets of bandages, what looks like a couple sleeves without the shirt, and a small canister.

While one employee sits in one of the tattoo chairs and another stands behind the counter at the other end, a few more wander in between dusting and straightening. All look eager to help or answer any questions.

Aridon enters the building. He inspects the wares a moment, then addresses the employees.

"Excuse me, is there anyone around with expertise in mystical matters ? I have a slight problem of a magical matter, and am hoping to find someone who can address it."

The clerk watches as Aridon looks around the shop, eager for a chance to help on this slow day. Seeing Aridon coming over, "Welcome, sir. Of course. Would you like our resident wizard who oversees the day to day alchemical and magical work, or the shop's owner who's in charge of item creation? If you can give me a little more information on your problem, I might be able to better direct you."

"I think I need the resident wizard... although I might end up needing the owner too... I had better explain.

Three days ago, I was attacked by some giant, magical rats. I fought them off, but I got bitten several times. The one which escaped did so by phasing out into the ethereal plane. And now, my body is phasing out too. An animal expert told me I got poisoned with something called a phase poison; that I would probably recover in a few weeks, but until then parts of me, or all of me, would phase to the Ethereal Plane at random. And she added that she had heard that if I could get something called a, 'anchor' keyed to me, I could force my body to stay on this plane, poison or not. So I'm hoping someone here knows something about this poison and can craft an anchor for me."

The clerk blinks a few times as Aridon is finishing his explanation, then grins and chuckles a bit, "You're way over my head, sir. I'll go and fetch our wizard. Just, uh, wait here while I'm gone... if you can." He turns to leave, but rubs his forehead and turns back, "Sorry, sir. Probably in bad taste and all that. Didn't mean to offend if I did. It's just... that's just plain weird, if you don't mind my saying so." Apology given, he turns and exits through the back door. A short while later, he returns to the counter and an older gentleman walks over to Aridon.

"Good day, sir. He's told me a little about your condition. Fascinating condition. Is there anything more you can add, or did you by chance bring back one of the dead creatures?"

"I'm afraid I didn't at the time think to gather the corpse of the one rat I managed to kill. Frankly, at that time all I wanted was to get out of the sewers to recover. I was out of prepared spell, I'm sure your understand. And by now of course the corpse will be long gone.

I did go see a cleric of the Mother immediately after, for healing, and mentioned the possibility of disease, but he saw nothing. And if in fact it was poison, not disease, then there was nothing to see. But that's all I know. So know I tour the wizards and scholars of the city, looking for the one who can find the answer. I myself, I fear, am more martially than scholarly inclined."

The old wizard nods as Aridon talks about his (mis)adventures, frowning when no corpse is produced but shrugging slightly as though to say he didn't really expect to see one. "Well, we will certainly see what we can do to help. I'll send one of my assistants for the owner. I myself prefer to remain in my shop, or maybe a good library. He has been out and about, and seen more things than I. If you wouldn't mind, I would like to take a sample of your blood. We'll see if we can work on some sort of antidote, or "anchor" as you say. That effect sounds a lot like a spell I've heard of, but unfortunately it is currently beyond me, and would only be a temporary fix anyway since spells typically have limited durations (as you of course know)."
