Inderpal hears Jinx offering a kiss and wonders if she could offer instead, but she's not a fan of beards.

Instead, she carries on moving items and assisting as instructed.

Jack suddenly feels a tap on his shoulder--from behind.

"I'm here." Vonon says, then looks around the Bridge--his left ear twitches.

"Come on." Vonon adds in a lower voice, "My quarters."

Vonon turns around and walks the few steps out of the Bridge and into the Captain's Cabin, taking his parka off as he goes.

Re: Destination: Coventry

Sharik had remained quite quiet as everyone bustled about looting the tower and loading things on the Longshot; she wasn't unhelpful - far from it.  She did her part to try and categorize artifacts and help with the logistics of moving TAMI.  Everyone was quite aware that Shar knew just enough about any given topic to be dangerous.

Only once did she glance Tescha's way once she'd returned to the ship - having to traverse its length to stow equipment in both her quarters and ship's locker upon arrival.  Sharik didn't bother to introduce herself yet.  There was plenty of activity to remain busy with.  Including poking her head into the bridge area.  Plus giving Indy a quick peck on the cheek.

And when the Iltharan computer had been loaded onto the ship and they started connect her up, Shar was right there with her digital camera feed on dataglove documenting it.  Her suit's computer weave and camera was, as usual, tied into p-comm and dataglove; as an ex-operative, integration of her high-tech electronics suite for constant surveillance was almost second nature.

Tied with her small stature, genial deportment, and diverse experience, the auburn-haired ex-IISS scout and general dilettante knew how to find the right angles for the shot, while remaining relatively out of the way.  While at the ship's locker, Shar did look for something that might work as speakers for TAMI; she wasn't quite willing to cannibalize her p-comm or helmet yet.

She only piped up the once while they were connecting TAMI up, knowing full well that Sylvester and Sam both had level, well-educated heads on their shoulders.  And keeping to herself the fact that the four parts of TAMI could be distributed throughout the ship in places that having crawled through a number of the conduits during the initial shakedown of the ship had led her to the seven different transponders laid out around the ship.  Shar was quite certain that if Evelyn were still around, the young girl might also know a fair few other hiding places aboard as well.

Shar's Comms, Computer, and Sensors skill specialties in Electronics are all the same; whatever is most appropriate there.  As for the Recon roll, it is just in case - you know, we want to distribute the pieces; Sharik might know some innocuous places.]

"Where you want her Captain Vonon? Ready to install! Thanks to the help of Sam! You want her in the Mining Lab, the Security Cargo Hold or some other place?"

"Damn, Sylvester...I don't...uh..." Vonon responds, sounding a tiny bit flustered, "Okay, look, we've got a time restraint, right?  So, for right now, just set everything up in the Main Cargo Bay (OOC: forward most Room #18), and get her online ASAP.  We can deal with tucking Tammy into the ship later.  Okay?"

And Captain... whatever you are thinking of even a couple of hours ago, TAMI would know. Me and one other on board have a secure line. Your thoughts are not secure  from being known. Granted they are are colorful like Sir Walters.."

As the others perform "adequately" Khea is content to supervise the installation of the AI even though she did not like the idea at all.

I hope our captain does not get the idea to try to connect the AI to the ships system without a shipyard.

Indy is very happy with a kiss from Sharik and has a rather undiplomatic grin on her face for much of the next hour or two - she is hoping for more kissing later.

She continues to follow any instructions relating to getting TAMI on the ship and hopes they can get off this planet soon; it's not exactly a holiday resort.

Re: Destination: Coventry

Pablo, Valeska and Reese are still aboard. Pablo had joined the Away Team at one point, but Valeska and Reese had stayed on the ship as the Watch and the rescue team if it was ever needed. Remember, Reese is your medic.

While it would be easy enough to explain Tescha's presence normally, without knowing what the Overwatch's sensors were able to detect, you can't be sure they wouldn't think the 'extra' body was a prisoner trying to escape.

Chances are sensors detected the number of life forms, but you don't know if they detected Tescha in the cryo-berth. In any case, they probably didn't detect the specifics about each life form, including species. So, to be safe, someone should go into cold sleep until you jump.

While TAMI's components can be placed in the different cargo holds, they are too large to fit through standard doorways and hatches. It would require moving bulkheads to place her anywhere else.

When all is said and done, and all the equipment is removed from the facility, a drone is sent through to record what it looks like 'now', which is the record you can send to Overwatch showing it's empty and poses no benefit to the 'colonists', even if they could reach it. No doubt the orbital ship will destroy it anyway... just because they can and they are otherwise bored.

Unless anyone has objections, the Longshot will be lifting off shortly.

All the vials found in the cabinets were 'on ice' for around 800 years. Just in case, they are stored in a cold freezer in Medical Bay until you decide what to do with them.

Re: Destination: Coventry

Sylvester, with the help pf Serge and the others interested in helping, reassembles TAMI in the forward corner of the cargo hold so she could be securely walled off at a later time to keep her safe. They would hook up speakers throughout the ship for her and hook her into comms so she can communicate. She was big, but the space was still small. They could connect her to the ships computer later professionally if they wanted to.

He would help store the furniture and other artifacts in the hold as well. Keeping TAMI was going to be the hard part maybe.

Re: Destination: Coventry

Seeing that TAMI is pretty much secured (and that there isn't much more that she can contribute there), Sharik trotted off to parts unknown.  Well, not that unknown, likely.  Of course, she remained on the ship.  And, of course, there had been a small matter of a summons by the Captain.

As she moved through the corridors of the Longshot a bemused smile touched her lips.  Even as she began her personal agent working on the task of reviewing and flagging objects of interest in her video captures of the past few hours.

Re: Destination: Coventry

Once everyone was back on the ship, and Valeska was defacto relieved of guard duty, she sought out Walter after doing some research of her own.

"Sir Walter... I've been monitoring all the data the crew has fed back to the ship from the Iltharan research facility," she began.

"I suppose, because I wasn't actually there, I was looking at the information as a kind of outsider... someone on the outside looking in."

"First, I'd like to point out that this TAMI computer has already had access to our ship's computer via the file transfers she was doing when she was hard-wired into the ship. She downloaded a lot of our files in order to understand what we were telling her and asking her. I think, if she was capable of taking over our computer, she would have done so."

"Now, while I don't actually know anything... because the people involved are keeping info close to their chest, I believe Jack is psionic, and it was his genetic code that let TAMI identify him as the heir of Zoron. That would imply that Zoron was psionic, too, which explains why he was in charge of a facility involved in, among other things, psionic drug research."

"As for everyone's concerns about the loot they've taken from the facility, I should point out that the Overwatch really doesn't give a damn. If we show them some non-essential items that might be valuable, they'll be fine with that. I see on the inventory that there's an item that looks like a paperweight. Show them that, and a few of the other trinkets... maybe one of the game tables or other furniture pieces... they should be fine with that. It's only if we claim we found nothing that they'll be suspicious."

"There's no way they'll know we have TAMI if we don't tell them. Even if we tell them we found a computer, they won't care. It's outside of their directive parameters. It's not like they are going to land on the planet to investigate the facility on their own."

"Also, I examined the cryo-chambers... or cold sleep berths, if you want to call them that. Again, not an expert, but I'm pretty sure they have psionic shields built into them. Can't say for sure, but it does sound like something Falko may have had a hand in."

"Thank you Valeska for the information. Some of that was what I was thinking while listening to the conversations. I am happy that everyone came out of there safely but I think I sprouted a few more gray hairs when Tescha came out of the icebox." Walter said with a smile as he tugged on a few gray hairs he already had.

"Giving them something to look at is better than them boarding us and we have enough stuff they will not care, more so since there are no weapons in there. If TAMI can get up to speed, I was wondering that maybe there is a way to fix Veronika as there are not many places in this subsector that can repair her, but for the present, getting us out of here might be the best option."

At the part about the iceboxes having psionic shields built into them, he had a quizzical look on his face. "If you will excuse me, I need to go crash the Captain's party." he said with a bow and a brisk walk to Vonon's cabin.

Knock, knock was heard on Vonon's cabin door.

Inderpal returned to her seat on the bridge and monitored to see if anyone or anything was trying to communicate with them. If there wasn't, she would check the news frequencies to see if there was anything that they needed to know.

It had certainly been a very interesting day and she was forward to having a chat with TAMI herself at some point soon.

To be honest, she did just want to lift off from this planet. It was hardly a brilliant tourist destination and the nightlife was awful.

While it seems pointless since the facility will get destroyed soon, Pablo closes the outer as he's the last one to leave, dragging the portable generator and cables with him back to the ship.

Once everything is fully loaded onto the ship and everyone's aboard, the pilot is ready to lift off.

Inderpal hasn't heard anything from the Overwatch ship but she notes that it's due to pass overhead in about five minutes.

The gravity drive of the Longshot is activated and the ship lifts off.
