Is there a way to enabled email notification of new posts that are visible to you?

Is there a way for you to post under a topic without using Reply?

Is there a way to enabled email notification of new posts that are visible to you?

Go to 'User Preferences' up at the top of the page next to the RPOL, it appears when you are in a game.

Once there at the lower right side column is:

Email Notification
Modify your notification schedule

Try that.

Is there a way for you to post under a topic without using Reply?

Every post in a thread has a series of options on the right side of the page:
[quote] | [reply] | [edit] | [delete] | msg #3

The Quote button does quote the post it appears in and puts it in a open new post for your reply.

In addition at the bottom of every page is the 'Post a reply' button, using that will open a new post at the bottom of the current thread.

Re: Answers to Inquiry
Note that there is an option in the Die roller, Game System / Special Dice, that can be selected on the drop down menu: Hero (Champions).

This option will only count body on Normal Dice, as opposed to Killing dice.

It is unnecessary to use this option for skills or any d6 rolls, like PRE attacks, or AVLD because normal Body would not be used.

Disappeared
Rondo's Prologue has disappeared from my view.

Re: Disappeared
In the form of a question:

A thread I posted a reply to is not at the top of the page, why is that?

On RPOL threads are sorted from most recently posted to, to last posted to, in descended order. Except a thread that is marked as 'Notice', those do follow the same descending order, however are on top of all other posts.

In this game, all Prologue threads, IC threads are Notices, so they are on top of all other threads, but will rotate to different places as each player posts to them.

In your case Rondo, some threads were 'Bumped' a GM 'Edit Thread' option that was used to organize and a post was made to  Campaign Rules and Basics (group 0), which bumped it to the top.

I'd like to see die-rolling in action here when possible; I played with the die-roller and it works well enough, but how do you integrate those into your posts?

Re: Answers to Inquiry
Short answer: Copy, Paste

Longer answer: If you mean how do you integrate the rolls via narrative int posts, that is a matter of choice.  The Die rolls, unlike HC, are immutable only in the Die Roller itself, once pasted into a post, the Die roll line is text and can be manipulated as text.

It serves no one to alter the result 'in post' because a simple check of the Die roller and one can compare.  I believe in not making the GM's job more time consuming, so I think posting the Die result into the post is best.

What comes next is narrative results of the Skill check the Die Roller generates. Most of the time results should be left to the GM, sometimes they are obvious, its a situation based decision.

In HC you couldn't actually know the results until you posted the message, not so on RPOL.

So....  why are the NPC's I made not listed as NPC's under group management and such, but the ones you did are?

I added NPC tag to them.  /shrug

Re: Answers to Inquiry
Different tack

My observation is that the NPC's I created and show under NPCs in the group menu, all have additional tags that precede the NPC tag
Jeeves Follower NPC
Jenna Hedak NPC
Skeezy Follower NPC
Terran Star Republic Corvette TSR NPC

Re: Answers to Inquiry
So, Jed:  how do I see RTJ's?  How do I remove a player from the RTJ list?  Tavi and Beasttt and Toshiro's players all still show up under the RTJ add list; and then I think a name or two I don't recognize...  haven't seen any PM's or RMails show up; where do I find any RTJ's that have been sent?

Thanks!

Re: Answers to Inquiry
RTJ's are all handled through Private messages

Each with the header: Access to 2nd Star to the Right

There is no list of RTJ's, there are characters assigned to players who are accepted to the game, all others not granted access, are just applicants and have no permission to see anything but Public threads and no permission to post.

Members can be Banned, those Banned I do not believe can even access Public threads.

Removing memebes made Palayers with an assigned Character can be doen two ways. One to preserve th e character created, the other just removes the player access and th e character.

To preserve the Character, go to GM Menu > Edit Characters, select the character and then Move (Existing), this allows you to assign the selected character to another player or yourself as GM.  When completed, the character is reassigned and the player, if it does not have another character assigned to it, will lose access to the game. Two problems solved.

The other way is just use GM Menu > Edit Players, select the player and Remove it, that removes the player and erases any characters assigned to that player.

Someonr RPOL could ask for information and character design info or campaign info over Rmail, but that is not an RTJ.

Re: Answers to Inquiry
OK thanks.

So I think I have Tavi and Toshiro and Techie all properly sorted as NPC's, then.  Well, two NPC's and one former NPC :(
