Regarding the 'recommended' equipment listed in character creation....

Is there a source to look up how these things should be built? Or do we wing it?

Cutting torch... Tunneling 1", DEF 15 with limitations?

Mag-Lock Boots... Clinging?

EM/Plasma 'shields'...?

Hey...

Your color conventions are a pain, no offense - they make perfect sense except they're different than the rest of the games on here.  Which is one of the reasons I like the HC site - talk is talk and radio is radio.

OK...  so what are most others using?  I don't mind sticking to norms, was trying to kind of match up to HC a bit; and it isn't like I'll kick anyone for breaking them.  Just trying to make sure I / we can easily sort out what is what.

Cool. Now I can choose other toys with my last 8 EPs. Or can I leave them in reserve until I need to design and build a specific piece of equipment?

Your choice, I always find it is much better for players to leave resources unspent, this is going to be a easy campaign, best not to use or define everything.

I have a couple of questions about how ships work.

1.  How do human ships of various sizes generate power?  Is a dropship powered differently than a ship like the Mercy or Pythea?
2.  How do they move through space?  Newtonian style, (shoot something out the back to move forward) or rubber science?  Different for different ship types (see above)?
