Re: The Prisoner - The Great Escape
The false wall opens up into a room dripping in decadence. Plush divans are scattered about the room. What space is not covered with rich tapestries and draperies are occupied with rows upon rows of bookshelves. The shelves are packed with aged, worn, and well read tomes. The lettering is familiar, yet just different enough to scramble the true meaning of each title. Many, however, are obvious in what they contain with the prominent eight arrowed sigil of Chaos emblazoned on the spine or cover. Mixed in among the books are also other, slightly more saucy, tomes of interest. Many of which describe various torturous or carnal works of writing, complete with pictures.
Along the "North" wall are two windows, currently open, yet covered with a single layer of draperies. It is enough to blunt out the light spilling forth into the night, but not enough to completely prevent the wind from occasionally spilling into the room. The doors exiting the room are all shut with key style locking mechanisms visible on the doors. The "South" and "South-West" door also has a lightweight bar able to assist in sealing the door.
As before, an eerie calm is about the place. Few noises drift in from the slightly open windows. As the wind billows in, moonlight also leeks through, enhancing the sparse illumination of the few candles that sit spaced about the room on large brass candelabras. Just outside those windows, you can see the battlements of the keeps wall well beyond reach of even the most athletic jumper.
At the sight of so many wondrous things, the black skinned man brushes past everyone like a kid first unleashed into a toy store. He begins to touch all the fabrics, play with the candelabras, page through the various books, and even go so far as to move towards the somewhat open window as a slight breeze makes the draperies flutter.
[Private to Angrboda: The Language on the books seems to be in a form more complex than Low speech, yet not as difficult as high Speech. Much akin to what Mabden would be to YK Common.]
