Don't worry we only used PETA (People Eating Tasty Animals) approved traps for the entrails this year.

I'm also back in town thanks to this wonderful year of crappy snow/rain/sleet combination that makes travel across the state so wonderful.

Basement is basically done, at least this stage. Christmas and New Year is over. Work sucks, but hey that is nothing new. I'm fully back and should resume the more normal every 3 day or so posting.

Hey, where is Angrboda?


Vacation, or such, I hope, not vanished.

Unsure, I've attempted contacting them with no luck so far.

Viktor would be heartbroken without Angrboda...hope she is doing well.

Well it seems as if I get to face a dilemma. I was hoping that Angrboda was simply temporary gone. Not sure what has happened as no responses from any of my attempts have been answered.


On Tuesday it will be 3 weeks not logged in. Due to me being a nice GM I can simply have her wander off, to possibly show up later.
To be true to the story/Elric I "have" to kill her, we just have not had enough deaths in this chapter.

I would like input from all of you as the outcome DOES effect what happens later. I've done both in the game some have been killed off, some have simply been left behind.

That brings us to the second point. With the players permission I have been posting for Khazim due to RL issues. That player has not logged in for some time either.

Player attrition happens. However loosing 2 is hard. I know we have not had combat for some time as this section has been concentrating on the sleuthing and info gathering.

I would like to hear your opinions on this, as well as, any opinion on opening recruitment if that is your wish. The loss of Khazim is the loss of the groups best tracker. Loss of Angrboda is the loss of most of your arcane knowledge.

Such a bummer with Angrboda. Hope all is well with her. Maybe have her wander off for a week or so. Then decide her fate. Not sure about Khazim, depends if you want to keep playing him. Otherwise a chaos wave could transform him into a giant crab person. It has been too long since the axe has been swung.

Ouch.  If this were a TV show, Angrboda's the one that you'd assume the writers wouldn't kill off till the final reel.  As they say, only the good die young, the bad prefer it that way ...

Given the player's contributions to date, I'm with Viktor - don't write her off yet, we'll just have to sacrifice to all the Higher Lords and hope that whatever ails/plagues the player resolves itself sooner rather than later.

Magic we'd be struggling without, loss of tracking we can probably or hopefully cope with (everybody start making Tracking checks immediately to get those skills up !  I follow Viktor around the yard ... aha !  There were horses here ...)

Perhaps a chaos wave and fight that gets rid of Khazim (sorry Khazim) and puts our favourite Melnibonean into a coma ??

Well, hopefully the player is okay.   That's the important thing.

As for the character, I too vote not to kill her.

She's had a long run here, and put a lot of work into the character.  It's still possible the player may return, so I would not jump the gun on it, personally.

This said, there could be an apparent death, if you want to shake the group up a bit.    Rael could grieve and feel guilty, Esyld might compose a dirge, and Viktor could mourn and go on a binge(um, another binge) etc.

If it must eventually come to it, a sorcerer will be the easiest of roles for you to replace.   Ever a popular choice.   Just please, don't add some egotistical idiot, who doesn't know the author's books, and has advantages over the rest of us mere mortals..  (though, actually, that would be sort of Moorcockian in itself ;)

Reading through what I have planned there are a few ways I can do it. That being said Ive got a fairly cheesy way to have Angrboda leave at this point. Khazim will take a bit more finesse.

I too hope the player is ok. I know I was almost down for the count thanks to my flood. Even to this day I'm experiencing issues with electronics that were near the damage. I lost my router 4 days ago for unexplained reasons, The best way to describe it was that the Wifi radio was slowly dying. It stopped being able to reliably hold more than 2-3 connections over the span of 2 days.
Luckily I used to build/repair computers on the side and had an untouched router from a networking job that a customer backed out of.

Rael hasn't posted in a little while either?  I hope Rael and Angrboda find their way back to the group.

My laptop I keep having to reboot the network adapter every second time I turn it on ... though it is about 8½ years old and still running OK otherwise.  The router would be MUCH more annoying !  But at least you know what you're doing with PCs and bits ... I'm inordinately proud of myself that I managed to do a case change a while back and that's pretty much just unplugging everything inside and plugging it back in again and crossing your fingers ! <grins>

Per cast list, Rael was on two days ago - assume he's just struggling to find time to post (and hoping it's nothing more serious) ... so looks like it's up to Esyld to do all the talking.

Can assume Berta's watered all the horses and they're hitched up again so either Viktor or herself can head inside, just to give the character someone to bounce looks, comments etc off ???  :>

First things first, Rael Gol LIVES!!!!!, like Frankenstein of old.

Second I'm going insane. I told you about my router. What I did not go into was that the next day my dvd player dies, the day after that the tv it was hooked to dies. Two days later my game controller to play fallout 4 dies, I steal my wife's. The next day it dies. Now a few days later my car gasps it's last breath just after dropping my son of at daycare. At least it died in my driveway.

On top of that I find out, just after my car died, I'm no longer administration department manager.
These last two weeks are just testing my grasp on sanity. We now return to our regularly scheduled insanity. -- end rant

That's a pretty bad run of ill-luck ! :<  You're probably due a change of fortune.  Just don't touch anything else electrical in the meantime - it's really beginning to sound like you rolled "Personal EMP Field" for your super power !!

Sorry everyone. Computer crashed. I've been spending most of today back to base level. When I get home from work the updates should hopefully be done.
