I have always been very fond of Greek Mythology with all of Gods and such.  Recently watched Gods of Egypt and thought it was rather good.

OMG are you kidding?  I watched the movie and all I could see was how white it was.  I think that must be the whitest movie I have ever seen. Even my best friend (who doesn't study racism like I do) was like "Wow, I never knew Egypt was so white."  lol

Re: OOC Thread

Sorry, It's fathers day. Work sucks (yesterday I had 4 out of my 11 workers call in and I need a minimum of 9 across the day to operate) and I do not get a day off till Thursday.

So I'm running behind.
I'll update asap

You do have a point on the movie being rather white. Lol. Cool special effects and hot women just not very accurate.

Re: OOC Thread

Yes, that was the general criticism, of that movie!   Among others.   I didn't see it -- I love Egyptian mythology, as I said, and it sounds like they took too many liberties, for my liking.    As well as the inappropriate cast.    Well, that's hollywood, for you...

Anyway, Viktor, I love the Greek pantheon, as well...my older brother's D&D campaign, where I learned RPG, was very Grecian influenced.   One of my earliest characters was a priestess of Hecate, and we battled hydras, medusae, minotaurs, and all that fun stuff...

I did a report on Jamaica in college once and Voodoo is some bad but really cool stuff. I have always been a fan of the minotaur in particular. Greek mythology is probably my favorite yet.

Re: OOC Thread

Yes, I love them all really, though I have a few favorites.     Hindu/Haitian I haven't had the chance to study so much, but surely one day.

Looking for the Goat bastards that were left behind.

Maybe that's a little harsh?  Do we know for sure their parents don't marry?

The bit about Mikkl 'working' on the machine with words made me laugh!   That's just so in character.   (or, in NPC, I should say...)

This story uses such technical terminology.

I can barely keep up with it all!

Perhaps not as surreptitiously as I might have liked," the palace was in flames and pitched battle raged in the compound.  "But except in Nadsokur, beggars do not choose."

That bit was great!   Made me laugh.
