Re: Searching for Sith: Jax/Jido

"Good. Then I wish you both luck, and may The Force be with you."

As the two Jedi started to leave, Master Ulric spoke up.  "One last thing. I need you to go down to the quartermaster and pick up some of the supplies for the mission. I do not have time to take it there in person."

He held up a datapad as he looked down and started pulling up another file.

Re: Searching for Sith: Jax/Jido

"Very well master, we shall search for the Sith. After we have procured the supplies we will need for this mission."With that Jido Draji bowed to the Jedi Master and then left the room to head to the Quartermaster's area of the fortress.

Re: Searching for Sith: Jax/Jido

Master Ulric watched Jido take the datapad, then looked down at his own screen.  He started pulling up data that was unrelated to Jido's mission, and the conversation seemed at an end. As Jido left the office, he saw a male Mirialian Jedi walking into Master Ulric's office. The attendant droid closed the door once the Mirialian was inside.

AS Jido made his way through the temple, he noticed the quartermaster was on the lower levels.  It was also very quiet and sparsely populated. In fact, there was hardly anyone down here but droids carrying equipment back and forth.

After the left Ulric's office Jax pulled Jido aside. "Jido, I saw the quartermaster yesterday... He is a... grumpy guy. I think  it'd be best for me to wait outside."

The quartermaster was sitting at his desk looking over his screen when Jido walked inside. He did not look up or otherwise acknowledge the Jedi. He was mumbling something to himself as he read over the screen.

Re: Searching for Sith: Jax/Jido

The quartermaster looked up from his desk at the Jedi standing in front of him.

"Oh great. ANOTHER request for items and equipment. Is that all you Jedi do all day? Just sit around and think of items and devices and then come down here to bother me."

He sighed and snatched the data pad out of Jido's hand. "And I suppposed this HAS to be done immedietly. This is a life or death situation and only THESE items can save the universe." He shook his head and then stood up and walked into the back room, leaving the Jedi standing alone.

Jido took a deep breath and started to meditate on the Light Side of the Force as he did so he said There is no emotion, there is peace. There is no ignorance, there is knowledge. There is no passion, there is serenity. There is no chaos, there is harmony. There is no death, there is the Force.

Re: Searching for Sith: Jax/Jido

The quartermaster rolled his eyes and stood up from behind his desk.  "Yeah, yeah, yeah. I know your code. You do not have to recite it. Not like it is going to make this go any faster. Like I have time to listen to codes and lectures and morality stories."

He reached over and snatched the datapad from Jido's hand.  "Let me see what items of mine that are never coming back THIS time."

Outside the room, Jax could hear that last line coming from the closed door.  Immedietly after, a Mirialian Jedi rounded the corner and spotted him.  "I'm looking for Quartermaster Tan Aleeko. Is he in?"

Jax turns to the Mirialian, "Yes, he is currently with my partner. Just a heads up, he is in one of his moods right now...."

A smile crosses Jax's face, "Though I'm not sure I've seen Quartermaster Aleeko not in one of his moods..."

"Well hopefully he'll be alright enough to equip me for my trip."

Maliq returned the Cerean's smile but his frustration with the delay is evident in his forced smile. "My name is Maliq".

He follows his introduction with a short bow.

Jax gestured toward the door, "My partner is in there now, but if you head in it might help to speed things up."

"Thanks. I'll see you around then." Maliq headed to the door, hoping to indeed speed up the process.

Maliq opened the door and walked into the Quartermaster's office.  Tan Aleeko looked up at him and rolled his eyes and sighed.

"Another one?!? I did not even finish with this one! What kind of items are YOU going to break? Let me guess. Planning to just take my items and use and lose them like all the other Jedi. Sure. No one has to repair or replace those things. Just leave that to the grunts and peons. That is what they are good for."

Re: Searching for Sith: Jax/Jido

"I have no such intentions. I merely need a few basic items with which to complete a simple mission off world. I shouldn't be too much of a burden I hope."

Maliq's patience was beginning to run out. "But simple as it may be, Master Ulric is insistent that it is completed quickly."

Maliq turned to the Zabrak. "Do you mind?"

Re: Searching for Sith: Jax/Jido

"I certainly don't mean to inconvenience anyone. I only wish to serve the order to the best of my ability and my orders are those of an urgent nature." Maliq folded his arms together so that the sleeves of his robe met almost perfectly.

"Master Aleeko, do you mind?"

Tan Aleeko looked from Jido to the Mirialian, and sighed.  "I do not care which of you goes first or last or not at all. I just want to finish your order so I can go back to organizing my items. So are you going to decide? Or are we going to have a meditiation contest where no one does anything for the next 3 days?"

"In that case, all I need are some binders, a comlink, a handscanner, a credit chip, and a lightsaber." Maliq unfolded his arms and clasped them behind his back.

"That is all you need? Sounds like a really light requisition.  And you know that not everywhere takes Republic credits, right? Or are you just planning to wave your hand and trick people into doing whatever you want? Are you THAT kind of Jedi?"

Aleeko looked at Jax.  "And what about you? Are you the type to just let everyone push you around and get in front of you? Or are you going to stand up for yourself?"

Re: Searching for Sith: Jax/Jido

"If you have any of the local currency for Balmorra, I can use that as well. But it never hurts to carry around some credits."
Maliq was surprised with the quartermaster's confrontational vibe.

"Now, I don't understand what this instigation is all about. I just came to get my things."

His face was starting to show signs of frustration now as his hands dropped down to his side. Maliq's chin lifted slightly, displaying his impatience and annoyance with the quartermaster.

Aleeko responded: "We might have some local currency. We do have the currencies of many, many, MANY different systems readily available for missions. The Order has to regularly operate outside the Republic afterall."

He looks over his screen and then back up. "Yes, it appears we DO have Balmorran credits on hand. I take it you would like some??"

"Thank you. That would be ideal." Maliq's expression softened a little as he placed his hands back in the sleeves, crossing them across his body.

Aleeko went back to working on his screen.  After a moment he looked back up at Maliq. "Your order has been created and processed. It should take about 2 hours to fill. Here is your ticket. See one of the droids to have it completed."

He then turned to look at Jido. "Now what do you need? Give me your list so I can go back to my REAL job and get you out of here."

[Private to Jax Nilar: You might want to step in here. Not sure if Jido is going to reply before this meeting ends.]

Hearing Jido struggling to get what they needed from Aleeko Jax stepped in, "Quartermaster Aleeko, Jido is my partner and we've been sent on an urgent mission. I bring apologies from Master Ulric that we can't give you more time to prepare our equipment, but our departure is imminent. Can we please get the items on Jido's list as soon as possible?"

Re: Searching for Sith: Jax/Jido

Aleeko looked up as the door opened and saw Jax walking inside.  "You again?? I thought we took care of your needs yesterday. Did you break all my things already!?! Should I just start ordering replacements for you now?? Or would you like to actually bring my things back first before taking out more items to destroy??"

He looked over at the Mirialian before continuing. "And it is his fault. He jumped ahead of your partner there. Apparently his Balmorra mission is more important then YOUR Balmorra mission."
