Re: The Triangle

As Krantz and his allies picked themselves up, Korg noticed the prisoner he was guarding had disappeared.

"Where is our prisoner?!", Korg hissed in a low tone?

"Found him", Khant said also in a low tone, pointing to the furthest bulkhead.

A large stream of blood was running down the wall, originating from the seam where the wall and celling met.

"At least we don't have to guard a prisoner now", Khaval said, also trying to be quiet. "Look for Slugthowers and melee weapons - carry grenades and disruptors but only as backup weapons - I would like the Bridge intact."

Re: The Triangle

Krantz holstered his pistol, and searched the armory for a Klingon projectile hand weapons. He settled on a brace of large black pistols of Klingon manufacture. he took six Sonic grenades and attached them to his belt. Krantz considered taking a Bat'leth, but decided for this mission,a dagger was more then enough. He soon stood ready and awaiting orders from his friend and erstwhile Captain.

Re: The Triangle

Once they were properly armed, Khaval led the way to the exit out of the Armory.

He tapped the controls to the door and they opened. He saw the corridor was deserted for the moment and hand signaled for Krantz and Khant to go out first to cover their exit of the armory.

As soon as Khaval and Korg came out, Khaval gave his next orders.

"Ready Disruptors - we head for the bridge. We will meet opposition as we make our way to our objective but once we get there, we switch to slugthrowers and melee weapons and regain control."

Re: The Triangle

With Krantz and the larger Khant leading the way, the four loyalists made their way to the bridge.

After a few moments, they ran into their first opposition literally around the corner - 5 crewman, all Imperials.

Both groups are shocked to see each other.

Re: The Triangle

Krantz was a fellow Imperial,so he took the first action. " We fight for the Emperor and the Empire. For whom do you fight for?"

Krantz had his disruptor pistol pointed at the floor, but he was ready to aim it at the five Klingons.

Re: The Triangle

Upon hearing Krantz's words, they stopped.

"For duty & Empire!", one said.

"Kai to the Emperor!", said another.

"Death to all traitors!", said a third.

Khaval stepped forward. "We are on our way to the Bridge to retake the ship form the P'tak who have taken over Ripper...Are you with us?"

All nodded or said. "Aye".

Re: The Triangle

Khaval put his hand on Krantz shoulder and gave a firm grip and grim grin.

Turning to the newcomers, he just said, "We move".

All nine Klingon loyalists moved through the corridor on their way to the bridge. Emerging in the top of a T shaped junction, a single door was there which would lead them through the long corridor to the bridge. Tapping the controls, Khaval noted they were locked.

"Krantz and Khant, run a bypass if you can - the rest of you ready weapons...If we cant open this door, we may have to blast it open."

Re: The Triangle

The door opened to a foot wide gap - then the disruptor fire hit the door from the other side, causing the others nearby to scatter to the sides as a few bolts came through the gap, missing Khant and Krantz respectively.

"Grenades!", Khaval yelled as Korg and Khant grabbed their explosives and tossed them through the opening, followed by an explosion and several Klingon traitors yelling on the other side and then smoke came through.

"Pry that door open!", Khaval said and several loyalists sprang to the task, grabbing the ends of the door & and widening the gap.

Beyond the smoke, several Klingons lay dead in the corridor.

Re: The Triangle

When the door was pryed open enough  for Krantz to see, he rolled a sonic grenade through the doors and waited for the flash that would indicate it had destroyed the organic matter within its area of effect. The Weapons Officer would then attempt to move through the doors slug thrower at the ready.

Re: The Triangle

The loyalists walked the long corridor to the Ripper's bridge, stepping over the dead bodies of the traitors.

"We will have one more door to bypass - no doubt they will be ready for us...Ready slugthrowers when we get there - I want no consoles damaged", Khaval said.

Re: The Triangle

As Krantz stepped over the bodies,he looked to see if any of them where from Security. He hated that branch, but if non where present,it might be Security was not with the mutineers. A potential for added allies in the reclaiming of the ship for the Empire.

The Weapons Officer moved past Khavel and into the lead. "Captain, I wish to scout ahead to determine the disposition of the traitors."

Krantz nodded and took off down the corridor remaining close to the left bulkhead,to give himself the best arch of fore for his Slug thrower. He would stop to listen from time to time, investigate any doors, and report via personal communicator to his Captain on his progress.

Krantz goes on ahead. Most doors he find are small armories which are empty, service access panels or unused storage lockers. The corridor ends at the doors leading to the bridge - sealed, no doubt.

"Stand by", came Khaval's reply. The group made it to Krantz's location and Khaval looked at the doors.

"No way to blast through that - it would take hours with either grenades or disruptors...Khant, Krantz - if you would?"

With Krantz & Khant's collaboration, they manage to open the doors - and are meeted with disruptor fire almost immediately coming from within the bridge. All the loyalists hit the deck or head for the cover of the doorframe.

Re: The Triangle

Krantz boldly enters the bridge, firing his slugthrower to make the traitors go for cover. Some do but a disruptor bolt hits him in the leg, making the weapons officer collapse to the ground.

"COVER FIRE!", Khaval yells from the doorway as slugthrower fire erupts from the doorway behind Krantz. Another disruptor bolt hits nearby Krantz.
