Re: OOC3

Hey Ron happy belated Birthday...  I turned 44 feeling oldish now... clearly over half my life in all likeliness.

Anyway, DM, not at home no... to Murcia, I don't even get to my my parents of brother and sister...  but well, that's work.

Re: OOC3

I think I should take that perfume thing with the +10 diplomacy, if only to just really REALLY be sure we do well on that when needed. I have a +15 diplomacy already so it's not something that would be needed most of the time but....

What do you think ?.

As for buying a CLW I am TOTALLY FOR it...   I would not buy a CMW wand, but rather 2 or 3 CLW... We use a LOT of spell power on healing outside of combat... within combat, if needed I can use my spells...  so if you think it fine, I would say to buy at least 2 CLW for group use (more if we will be travelling far).

DM, also to be deduced would be the costs for the cure diseases...

Now... I wonder, what would you guys suggest I buy ? weapon probably ? a +1 what ?

Shopppppinnnnnnn!

Celene, if I buy you a wand of Mage Armor, you think you could use it on me before big fights?
I am also at a loss as to what I should buy so I have no problem giving half my share if someone has something big in mind.

Oh! I want to go buy that boat yard and start a business. What says you GM?

Angati takes the fancy magical perfume. Please write it on your sheet.

Angati:

I can tell you that the next two adventures don't involve travelling far, so you can just buy one now - and Bua Gorg also had a wand of CLW with 8 charges left so you can start with that. Please add both of these to your character sheet and status bar.

Angati:
DM, also to be deduced would be the costs for the cure diseases...

Your patroness insists upon paying for these herself. I will write about that in the in character thread.

Angati:
Now... I wonder, what would you guys suggest I buy ? weapon probably ? a +1 what ?

Please, something magical that lets you actually hit the bad guys in melee and then actually do some damage for a change!

Also, think about claiming the 'belt of ogre power' for Angati. The other serious front line fighter (Alohan) already has a belt of strength that does the same thing, so he doesn't need it and it would increase her chances of hitting.

Celene:
Sorry. Hoping to post this afternoon. We still have to finish answering questions right?

Yes, I want each player to ask at least one round of questions just to prove they are awake!

Alohan Nuari:
Oh! I want to go buy that boat yard and start a business. What says you GM?

Errrr, fine, as long as you are willing to run it as a business in the same way that Kassius his using the campaign rules. You don't need to buy it as such, you can just use three months of your allowance from Lavinia to pay for it.

But I need to make you all aware of something. When Bua Gorg was talking about the Savage Tide it seems like he was talking about it being pretty big, i.e. the death of human civilization on the planet. So this thing is a hell of a lot bigger than Sasserine and you shouldn't expect to be based here for much longer. Now, when Celene learns 'teleport' this won't be such a big problem, but until then you should expect your business to be running without you most of the time.

Re: OOC3

Come on, is no-one is going to claim these?:

potion of cure moderate wounds
salve of slipperiness
2 x hand axe +1 (useful for chopping firewood if nothing else)
scimitar +1
belt of orge power (as gauntlets of orge power)
potion of sanctuary
RING OF SWIMMING

Also, John please remember to add this to Urol's character sheet since he claimed it previously:

Nautical Charts (+4 on navigation checks)

Re: OOC3

I'll probably take the ring. If there are no objections. Also could we upgrade it to continuous water walking on the house? :)

Nothing else is really useful for me.

I can use the wand on Alohan. We might want to look into a higher level one though. I think we could get, unless I'm mistaken, a wand of mage armor that lasts 3 hours per charge for 1 x 3 x 750 = 2250 gp.

Re: OOC3

Ill double check the math but yea, that mage armor wand sounds perfect. I plan to buy one of them. And thanks ahead of time for helping me with it.

Ill also claim the Salve of Slippery Alohan and possibly the CMW potion to make me more survivable. Possibly the ring of swimming? But I think my inherent swimming ability is good enough and it could go to someone a bit more land locked (Angati?)

And yea, the nautical charts. Can I use them to plot a course to Lavinia and or Harliss's heart?

Good point with the business John. I honestly have no clue where this campaign is going. I just assumed Sasserine was the 'base of operations.' But yea, I think gold is better spent elsewhere.

Offer still stands. I need a little of 2k for my wand but the rest can go to someone else's upgrades if they want.

Ill type up something in character when a bit less busy

Logan could use the +1 Handaxe.  Maybe just one, but both if no one wanted another one.  That's compatible with two-weapon fighting.

Sorry for not posting, life got away from me for a few days. Kassius is content with the armor, I'll just take my gold share for now. Maybe buy some stuff with it.

Alohan, you might want to save up your gold for a amulet of mighty fists +1. Will help with the DR/magic everyone seems to have...

Oh right, forgot about that. Never mind, ignore me, I'm dumb. Although the amulet (arguably) gives a bonus on grapple checks as well as unarmed attacks, so you still might want one.

In reply to Alohan Nuari (msg # 222):

Well, if you can get your weapon further enhanced, the "furious" special ability is amazing for barbarians.

And the basic items all characters need are stat boosters, amulet of natural armor, ring of protection, and cloak of resistance.

Celene gets the ring of swimming. No free upgrade! :D

Alohan takes the salve of slipperiness and the potion of CMW. Alohan buys a wand of 3 hour mage armor for 2250 gp and gives it to Celene.

Logan takes both handaxes +1.

Kassius keeps Brissa Santos' studded leather armour +1.

Re: OOC3

I had not noticed this belt of ogre power, but if no one is against it, I would take it gladly, it might actually help me do some damage... and hit more often.

Updated char sheet with the CLW, perfume and ogre belt....

Still trying to decide which weapon might do best for Angati.  I am thinking Cestus maybe ? advantage of not having to equip with it, always armed P or B, and 19-20 crit... 1d4 though... any ideas welcome.

Re: OOC3

Angati takes the belt and the other stuff. Sorry, but I can't offer up any advice about what weapon would be good.

Could Kassius take the scimitar +1? He doesn't get in melee often but is already using a scimitar so it would make sense to upgrade.

Urol says he wants the potion of sanctuary (I've added it to his character sheet and... moved him back to NPC status!)

Re: OOC3

And that is pretty much that for "The Bullywug's Gambit", module 2/12 in the savage tide adventure path. One big dungeon (Craken's Cove), one interlude combat (those crazy street performers) and then one small dungeon (Vanderboren manner). What did you guys think?

Sure, I'll take the scimitar, adding it to my character sheet now.

I think this savage tide thing is starting to get interesting... I don't think I've played a campaign where a magical disease was the big bad before.

Re: OOC3

The first half of the first module, i.e. under Parrot Island, has a fearsome reputation as a TPK zone, as does the den of three rhagodessa in the Lotus Dragon lair. The savage dinosaur in Kraken's Cove (yeah, the one that took out Logan) is also noted in the paizo obituaries thread as being 'problematic'.

My main gripe is that the first two modules don't do a good job of setting up either the main protagonist (Vanthis Vanderboren) or explaining the 'big bad'. The characters don't witness the Savage Tide doing its work first hand and the only time they meet Vanthus is when he is at the top of the trap door on parrot island. Oh well... there are some really fun bits coming up, e.g. interesting puzzles to solve, exotic locales, epic level bad guys and opportunities to shape the fate of the whole planet. Should be amusing...

Re: OOC3

Kassius takes the magical scimitar, meaning that each character's share after subtracting the communal wand of CLW is 3,528 gp.

I'm gunna be nice and say that Alohan bought the wand of mage armour before Harliss nicked all his cash, meaning that he only lost 1,278 gp. Celene, please write this wand of mage armor at lvl 3 on your character sheet and in your status block.

The rest of you, please let me know what you want to spend your cash on.

Loot thread has been updated. You can see your current cash in hand in there. Logan in particular is sitting on a lot of cash.
