Urol's bomb surprises all four of the bullywugs and all of them curse and croak as they all take full damage. Only one of them is staggered though (BW7).

"Ha! Bucko, you have a lot to learn," chuckles Harliss as she tosses her floppy black captain's hat into a corner. A focuses look forms in her eyes as she raises her hands above her head and then takes a running jump right at Kibeti. As she reaches the albino panther pulls into a tight flip over him and then attempts a flying handstand right past BW7!

The pirate is easily able to flip past the first bullywug, but the sly female amphibian has seen these sort of tricks before and simply waits for Harliss to land - and then sets about with a series of blistering attacks with her two handaxes (18 hp damage).

Harliss curses as she turns to face the large frog with her rapier drawn. "Alright then matey. Have it that way. I just want you to know before we start this that I left your husband is downstairs cut up into little pieces."

If the plan is to enrage the barbarian bullywug further it seems to work, as the beast roars and further froth shoots out of her mouth and throat sack. But as to whether this is a good plan time will tell...

Harliss makes good use of the flanking provided by Alohan and cuts into her opponent (14 hp).

Liamae follows Celene up the stairs (to E1) and with assistance from the young cleric puts the fire out.

Celene wiped soot from her forehead with one hand as she surveyed the damage she caused to Lavinia’s home. Better burnt than filled with corpses she thought. Celene dropped the bucket when she came out of her reverie and carefully avoided kicking it as she moved to get a better view of the battle still raging. She moved between Kassius and the others as they held back the tide of frogs and cast a simple spell on herself which lent her allies Wee Jas’s blessing as well.

Kassius and Kibeti fight, as always, as a well-oiled team. Kibeti dodges in and bites, then backs away for an instant. As the bullywug recovers and tries to counterattack, an arrow flies in from Kassius, penetrating deep into the rubbery frog flesh. This happens again and again, as hunter and companion work together in terrifyingly efficient unison.

Angati concentrated on staying her ground against all those monster, the damage she could do, she knew, was negligible with regards to what her companions could do... but she could make herself a steel wall..

Harliss shrugs. "I dunno matey, but I know the breed like rabbits... Er..." The pirate dodges an attack from the bullywug trying to hack her to pieces with her handaxes. "...or tadpoles at least. But what's the matter my little gnome buddy, you've seen me get my crew out of worse predicaments when you've sailed with me, anyway..." she glances down at Urol's supply of crossbow ammunition. "...looks like you've got enough bolts left."

Urol sinks a bolt into the bully green huntress' leg (7 hp).



OOC: Yes, that is how it works. It's a powerful use of your turn, although a little bit boring for you as the player.



OOC: So together the pair of you do 54 points of damage? <DM's jaw drops> My god man, that is just... insane.

Kibeti's final attack topples the massive huntress, her weighty bulk making the floor creek as she hits the ground. The cat wastes no time in jumping on top of her chest and ripping her throat sack out, the streams of green blood not seeming to bother him.

"Well done lad!" exclaims Captain Javell. "I could use a pair like jer on my crew, one I get a new ship sorted out. Have you ever thought about a career in piracy?"

The remaining bullywugs cry out in dismay and start a fighting retreat towards the double doors they entered by.

Angati attacks BW7 and misses.

Alohan (on autopilot) attacks BW8 and hits (9 hp damage).

Harliss causally sticks her rapier and dagger into the back of BW7, killing it instantly.

Liamae stands back from the party, not sure how to help.

With the fall of yet another of their colleagues, the last two bullywugs start yabbering at each other in their language. Then they both turn and run as fast as their flippered little feet with carry them, and croaking at the top of their lungs throat sacks.

The head south-east into the little breakfast room that the party has used with Lavinia many times before, and up the little wooden stairs that lead to the next level.

Alohan shakes himself from his mental aperture, bounding through the doors after the escaping bullywugs. The others could do as they wished but he wasn't letting the enemy get away. Any potential chance they could warn their brethren was enough to get him moving and without Lavinia safe, he would keep pressing.

As he came around the staircase, the bullywugs were within reach. He took a step on-top of the stairs and swung downward. Unfortunately, he misjudged their quickness and -under the threat of a clubbering- the frogmen sped up in their movements.

"I'm no pirate!" Kassius calls out in a huff. Even if he was so inclined, neither half-orc nor cat particularly liked boats.

Kassius moves over to besides Kibeti and pauses briefly, using their bond to heal himself of the worst of his wounds. He has no particular desire to hunt down and slay fleeing enemies. There's no sport in it, and it makes him feel dirty.

Angati tried to follow Alohan behind the rest of the bullywugs before they could reach anyone else.

Do we know if the stairway at G:1 leads to the same place the bullywugs just went? Would Liamae know?

The stairway at G1 goes down to the basement, the staircase the frogs are running up is going up to the first floor. So definitely a different place.

Urol hustles to follow the retreating bullywogs, intent on catching them before they can warn more of their kind.
"Yes, I've handled worse, but there's a world of difference between ability and desire.  What I want to do is relax and smoke a nice, big lump of loco-weed.  What I have to do is save a bunch of people I don't know from rampaging frog-men!"

Urol's shot flies past the swamp creature and buries itself into the wood of the stairs. Celene sends the magical energy into the creature's back, causing it to croak but it doesn't stop running.

Alohan slams his jade blade down after the flipper of the last fleeing bullywug, but misses and splinters a step instead.

Angati also runs after the fleeing creatures but in the crush to get after them can't find a position where she can attack.

The two terrified frogmen waddle up the stairs as fast as their flippered feet will let them. They enter a small kitchen at the top of the stairs and then fling open a door that leads to an open balcony. The party are reminded that there is a wild storm going on outside as the rain and wind bursts into the house, and lightning seems to crack almost continuously across the sky.

The two bullywugs run along the wide balcony and disappear around the corner to the left (but don't disappear off the map!).

Harliss and Liamae stay with Kassius and Kibeti.

"They whole damn tribe probably knows we're here by now anyways," grunts the pirate captain. "What's the point in running around the place getting all sweaty then?"

She looks over in appreciation as Kassius' magic closes over some of his wounds. "How about some healing on me matey? I got cut up pretty bad by that crazy bullywug witch."

Liamae speaks up. "I could also use a little healing too if you could spare it Kassius," add the dark haired sorceress. She also has obvious wounds on her body.

OOC: G'damn NPC's. Always taking damage and expecting to get healed.


Bottleneck at the bottom of the stairs. Alohan's and Angati's positions should be switched.
