Kassius' winces apologetically. He wishes he could heal either, or both of them.

"My power is limited, and I can feel it running low. Best to save what remains in case someone is actually dying. Besides, the other's are likely about to run into a trap or some such nonsense. Try and stay out of harm's way, I need to go make sure everyone else is alright.
Kassius says awkwardly, then dashes after the rest of the party.

Kassius and Kibeti double move to stay with everyone else.

Harliss bends over, picks up her floppy black hat and smoothly places it on her head. As Kassius moves to run out the door way the pirate captain steps out and places herself directly in his path.

"Ahh. Matey. Yeh don't understand. I would REALLY appreciate some healing." Her hand slips to the hilt of her rapier and she fixes the half-orc in a steely gaze.

Kassius is suddenly aware of what the room looks like. Green bullywug blood and ichor is sprayed on almost every surface and dripping from the ceiling - the place looks like a emerald charnel house. And how much of that blood did Captain Harliss Javell place there with her expert rapier strokes? Quite a lot of it if Kassius remembers correctly.

Liamae takes a couple of steps back, and silently mouths 'Oh Frac' as her hand goes to her dagger hilt - not that it would do any good, she might as well be gripping a butter knife for all the good it would do against Harliss' swordsmanship. The sorceress moves so that she forms the point of an equilateral triangle with Harliss on one of the other points and Kassius and Kibeti on the other.

OOC: Well you were the guys who wanted to bring the CN leaning towards CE pirate captain with you. What did you think it was going to be like? All rainbows and unicorn kisses?

OOC: Yes, I agree with your counting. Unfortunately Urol's short little legs mean that he will never actually catch up with these guys.

OOC: If Angati can hear this exchange with Kassius she would offer a bit of healing....  just a bit though...

Celene motions for the impatient captain to enter the room with her and the others and then calls upon Wee Jas to help tend to the acerbic woman's wounds. Along with any of her allies that might be injured. "Let's move upstairs I'll heal us once more when we're on the second floor." she said casting a glare at the pirate.

Angati and Celene, stopped by the bottleneck of the bottom of the staircase from being the first upstairs, hang back and attend to the developing situation between Harliss and their friend.



"Thanks to jer, matey," says the pirate, totally unaffected by the glare. "I don't think there's any rush to get after those frogmen, though, missy. I'm sure Urol and the big native have it all in hand. And we'd better search this lot for treasure too."

OOC: In all fairness, if we are keeping character and player knowledge separate then I am expect Alohan to proceed up the stairs. He wouldn't be immediately aware that the rest weren't following him up.

Splitting the party in two in the middle of a combat. I love it!

Alohan's footfalls carried him quickly up the stairs. The deadly gnome behind him gave him confidence but he was still of sound mind to not waltz into a trap. He slowed his paces and crested the top, coming to the second floor with taiaha in hand.

Seeing his prey flee down a side hall, Alohan would pursue if nothing presented itself.

START OF BW'S ROUND SEVEN

The two bullywugs continue their flight and push through the stormy night to fling open the double doors at the end of the balcony. They enter a 20' by 20' white paneled room filled with basins and hampers. A large tub of water sits in the middle of the room and numerous cords with clothes hung from them lace the ceiling - these start flapping furiously in the wind. The two frogmen immediately get entangled in these clothes lines and slowed down.

There are two other bullywugs already in the room. One going through a hamper and passing items back to the other that already has a pile of silk garments piled high in his arms - some of Lavinia's undergarments are visible in that pile, but it is mostly white silk bedsheets. The two new bullywugs stare slackjawed at the new arrivals, as though caught doing something they shouldn't be.

OOC: It's in the module guys, it's in the module I swear it.

OOC: Say hello to BW 10 & 11. I'll do a map update tonight, but Alohan can reach any of these guys with a normal move action and the two new guys are caught flat footed. Urol has a clean short range shot at BW8 or BW9. Any hit on BW8 will kill it.

OOC: Party members downstairs need to use a full move action (running, so at x2) in order to get to Alohan and Urol's starting position, i.e. G1, G2, H1 or H2.

Celene calls upon Wee Jas' aid once more to help heal her allies. Then she follows the others up the stairs.

Celene heals those of here comrades that are downstairs, and then sprints off to join Urol and Alohan on the first floor.

OOC: See makes it to the foot of the stairs since she used a standard action to channel.

Urol drops the wounded bullywug - it crashes face down into the big tub of suds in the centre of the room, sending white soap bubbles spraying into the faces of the two startled laundry stealing frogmen.

OOC: No map update - too confusing with half the party on the move between the ground floor and first floor.

Kassius gulps slightly, stepping back. Yes, perhaps I can spare a bit of healing. He tells Harliss.

Harliss keeps a wary eye on Kassius as he performs the healing - perhaps expecting that the hunter will try to use a Sure Cure Wounds spell instead, but smiles once her wounds start closing over.

"There's a good lad! Ye remind me of more and more of Drevoraz. He became a good sailor once he learned some discipline."

Deep down inside Kassius something starts bubbling up. The half-orc feels a little giddy for a second and then a small burp rises into his throat - it leaves a peculiar metallic aftertaste in his mouth and Kassius realizes to his surprise that it tastes of that insane Ayahuasca batch that he mixed up last week. The one that lead him on a drug fueled rampage of the bullywug holy city.

By his side, Kibeti starts a low growling. Not at Harliss, but at Kassius.

The hunter's vision steadies and he is himself again... for now.

OOC: Oh dear. Looks like that crazy Ayahuasca batch might be able to cause relapses under conditions of stress.

Captain Javell of the Crimson Fleet is studying the young half-orc with a concerned look. She takes a half step back.

"Riiiiight lad. Should we be getting on with it?"

Harliss and Liamae follow Kassius and Kibeti to the foot of the stairs. Angati is also in that group.

OOC: Ok, I was going with Alohan... but its my fault for not showing up. However, if Angati is with Harliss group, she'd have spared a cure light wounds on Harliss. Let me know whichever way you think makes most sense.


Angati growled something, Harliss had taken more of a beating than the rest, and if she had any more left for healing, she would have healed her more before heading upwards. The way things were, she could just try to hurry up as much as her armor allowed her. Even a supple and lighter armour such as hers was not the best of things to be carrying upstairs on a run...

OOC: I'm going to take Alohan's turn (sorry Ron) so I can step the round forward because 1) then I can get everybody onto the same map and it will be less confusing 2) I just feel like processing a turn.

Alohan sees Urol's shot take down one of the fleeing bullywugs and decides to charge one of the new frogmen in order to take advantage on it's distraction...

Celene moves to the corner of the balcony and leans out over the balustrade into the stormy dark night in order to get a good shot. She zaps one of the frogs. Other than its legs moving a bit it doesn't seem to notice.

Angati waited for the rest of her companions to move forward and a bit out of the way so that she could run towards the thick of the combat. "Leave some room for me to pass... fat armoured ass coming through !!"

Mean DM wants me to use up all my moves doing that.

Two of the bullywugs in the laundry continue to fight Alohan, but miss.

BW11 attacks Kibeti but struggles to reach the raging cat from its position on one knee - it also misses.

There is a crash from the far end of the laundry room as the double doors are kicked open. A bullywug with some sort of fancy crossbow stands in the door way and starts firing a hail of bolts into the combat - presumably at Alohan but they all miss everyone (due to Alohan having soft cover). Whatever weapon that frogman is using it isn't bullywug made, that is for sure.

OOC: Sigh. A totally ineffective round for the bad guys then...
