Alohan Nuari:
typical Sasserine white girl lumps all us dark skins together.
OOC: Yeah, I reakon. Celene, Alohan is from the Nuari people who populate the Pearl Islands to the north of Sasserine. Since he is a member of the royal family he has his people's name as his family name.
Alohan Nuari:
Keep in mind, IF the Charm is an action to cast, I imagine it might still take control of the leader while the guy scruffing up Celene may still be able to act and force her mouth closed.
OOC: I totally screwed up the charm person thing - of course it only takes a standard action to cast charm person otherwise what would the point of it be? I got it mixed up with sleep.
But anyway, my post stands. The leader interrupts the spell casting.
Alohan Nuari:
Anyway, I will ignore the potentially charmed leader, throw the taiaha to the third guy (non threateningly [like in the movies causing them to reel back]) and strike out against the bruiser holding Celene.
OOC: NB: The leader was joined in the elevator by three additional bad guys meaning there are four of them in total.
The target of Alohan's throw reels back as the taiaha is flung at his head. Then the native warrior pulls the leader off Celene and very quickly stuns him with a cracking headbutt to the bridge of the man's nose.
Alohan Nuari:
10:14, Today: Alohan Nuari rolled 17,27,8,5 using 1d20+7,1d20+7,1d6+2,1d6+2 ((10,20,6,3)) FoB: Normal, Stunning Fist.
10:15, Today: Alohan Nuari rolled 12 using 1d20+7 ((5)), Crit Confirm.
OOC: Dude, what the heck is all this? We're not rolling dice anymore. Just tell me what happens.
Celene:
Purple smoke rose into the elevator and pooled along the ceiling ”I might have little choice but to roast you alive. This elevator will be a deathtrap and the shaft will act like a chimney. The fire will spread and spread quickly. I don’t know the layout of your basement but I am assuming this might be her only way out. She’ll perish along with all of us. Is that a risk your willing to take.” Celene’s eyes flashed purple once more ”My life has just been turned upside down. I don’t have much to live for and besides I might even survive it.” she bluffed.
The leader cradled his busted nose in one hand while looking up at Celene balefully. He takes in her determined demener and the purple flames now writhing up around her wrists. He holds out his free hand, indicating for his men to stay back.
"Alright then miss," he says, glowering at her.
"Let's just get down to the bottom then, shall we? And see what happens..."
I don't have much of a way to help. Everything I can do is fire based or make them fall on the ground but I can't be sure that won't effect us. How big is the elevator?</quote>
OOC: The elevator is 10'x10' and therefore very cramped with six people in it. The floor is made of wood - there are no walls other than the walls of the shaft and not ceiling either... it is possible to look back up the shaft at the entry door.
The elevator continues its slow shuddering decent while Celene and Alohan continue their face off against the four stagehands. The leader looks Alohan up and down as he feels his nose, trying to figure out if it is broken or not. The half-orc shakes the blood off his hand in disgust. "You ain't in no dance troop," he says, sneering at the Pearl Islander.
Behind the man the rock face of the shaft changes from the dull, grey stone that the backstage area was constructed off to a hard purple rock. Celene sees the line where the rock changes slowly creep up as they continue downwards in the squeaky contraption, feeling uneasy as the rough men continue to stare at them. They must be at least 40' before the surface now, and when the purple rock is about 10' above them the elevator finally stops at the bottom.
The leader of the men tenses, poised to act.
