"Huh?" stammers Durok, seemingly confused.

1 more round used.

A complete square of table gives hard cover if you are in the square directly behind it and it is between you and your opponent. It is a DC10 acrobatics check to jump over a table - most of you will make that without needing to roll.

Logan surveyed the situation.  "I'm not an expert or anything, but this definitely seems like a trap.  Isn't one of those escaped monsters something that can imitate people?  Zelina seems way too calm."

"Now... I am REALLY pissed off... You don't even take the time to properly act like Zelina you one eyed freak... didn't do your homework did you ? this is how you repay saving your life ?... it is Victor that condemned you, and yet it is him you work for now ? him that killed your sister soul, your precious couple, ahhh.. no spine and no courage is that it ? not even to avenge those that were most cherished to you.... I offer you your revenge and pardon if you help here... all in one. That goes for you too, you know know me and have no reason of knowing that what I say is true, but you are taking the wrong Partner, he is going to betray you, if he has not done so already.

LISTEN YOU ALL... WORRIN LIDU HAS GRANTED PARDON TO ALL THOSE THAT HELP HIM RECOVER HER DAUGHTER !!!

I am a bit dizzy on the details because its over a year from this, but if I recall correctly, it is Victor that stabbed and killed his doppleganger couple/brother or whatever it was...

Re: 2.6 - Angati and the Chimes of Midnight

'Zelinda' shifts her gaze to Angati, taking in her 'sister's' words. She appears to quickly consider her options.

"You know what Angati? You're right." Zelinda tilts her head upwards towards Durok, open her mouth, and breathes out a huge cone of red hot fire straight into his face.

OOC: Okay, I'll take those initiative rolls now thanks.

Re: 2.6 - Angati and the Chimes of Midnight

There is NO Worrin Lidu's pardon...

Angati is a liar when its in her interests.

Still, she would let the doppelgänger live, because she still feels guilty for what happened to him. He should have been freed rather than imprisioned... so if he helps she would try to keep her word.

Also... he can be useful, if we end with the other first, she has promised if she gets Zelina... so... if he would help, he could infiltrate or at least cause a distraction or confusion or try to free Zelina... in those cases Angati would do her best to keep her word...

Re: 2.6 - Angati and the Chimes of Midnight

Alohan is quite puzzled. He looks to Zelinda, searching his mind for any recollection of this moment outside the dress shop. No, he didn't recall Zelinda. In fact, that day he remembered clearly. He was with Amarilde, going to pick up her dress only to find someone had stolen it. Accept, it wasn't really Amarilde, it was...

As the realization hit him, a shiver ran down his spine. He gripped his taiaha tightly and listened to Angati's words, hoping beyond hope there was no pardon. Having a doppleganger in love with you wasn't something he wanted, especially one as crafty as Virin. Still, there was something to consider. A doppleganger could adopt a plethroa of forms. He could sleep with countless women and exotic creatures all with the.... "FOCUS. Your friends need you' his mind screamed.

But for whatever it was worth, the doppleganger appeared to be swayed and Alohan felt a sense of duty to aid the creature.

Durok stumbles back, screaming as his singed hair and long ears continue to burn. (Made his save, only 5hp damge). Vrinn starts to throw off the fake shackles - he isn't actually tied down of course (the changeling is way down the initiative order).

OOC: Angati, Kassius, Alohan & Logan can now take their first turns. Durok is flat-footed.

I dont think that they can get to attack from here unless its ranged so Angati will run all the way next to him if possible and will attack next round. Covering his exit towards the door I dont want him fleeing and alerting the rest

Can't Angati charge him?

The tables aren't difficult terrain, they just provide some cover and need an (easy) acrobatics check to jump over.

OOC: Can you charge to M9? Don't you have to go in a straight line and then stop once you make contact? i.e. L9?

Logan rushes forward with better intensions than aim and misses the still smoking Durok. Zelina/Vrinn looks up at the half-elf and sighs. "I am going to regret this, aren't I?" he mutters in resignation.

Oh, I guess that's right.  I have to move into the closest space from which I can attack.  So L9, not M9.  Next round I could 5' step into flanking, I suppose.

Kassius fires, but the chaotic melee makes it difficult to drive an accurate bead on the target. Kibeti has more success as he hurtles forward, catching Durak in the thigh and coming away mouth dripping blood. The cat licks his chops, and braces, looking for more.

As his companions began to charge into the room, Alohan was not far behind leaping across debris with taiaha in hand. The thought of Virin being in trouble must of awoke something inside of him as he sprinted up to the bugbear and slammed his taiaha into the bugbear's chest.

DebrisL I should be able to auto-succeed a jump over some debris with my ring of jumping.

Hey Kassius, does Kibeti share your initiative? I didn't think so and I actually rolled for him since I could see you hadn't rolled.

12:34, Yesterday: Dungeon Master, on behalf of Kibeti, rolled 8 using 1d20+4.  Kibeti Init.

His initiative isn't high enough for him to get a move yet, so he couldn't have attacked.

@Angati, depending on if Kibeti's move was valid or not, what you said earlier is now true - there are no spots available for Angati to charge into now since Logan, Alohan and the cat are taking them. Do you just want to double move as close as you can?

I haven't been rolling initiative separately for Kibeti all game. If you want me to start doing so, that's fine. It's just been simpler to have us both act on the same initiative.

If Kibeti can't charge then yes, he'd double move to get into position to attack next round.

Oh year, it's coming back to me. We did did discuss this previously and agree to it, didn't we? Okay, please keep going with the combined rolls!

Okay Beni, that means that Angati can't get into combat this round. Do you want to double move and get ready for next round, or normal and then cast a spell?

The floppy-eared hobgoblin falls back under the onslaught - Kibeti sinks he teeth deep (8 hp) and Alohan stabs with his bladed weapon (14 hp!).

I'll let Angati make her move before I respond.
