The Jade Ravens start to take stock of their situation. It isn't good.

"What do I do? What do I do?" scream Kaskus, obviously on the verge of panic. Tolin and Liamae are too busy emptying their stomachs to answer.

"Ahh...um... kill them... kill them all!" screams Zan as he stabs wildly at the closest thief (DL4). He connects and the dragon lotus rogue stumbles back (6 hp).

"Uh...right," mutters Kaskus. He concentrates and brings down another bolt of jagged lightning from the sky, frying the thief closest to Liamae (DL10 since Logan just killed DL9).

Liamae is in a similar position to Celene. Unable to cast a spell and unable to get away without triggering an attack. She and Tolin try to fight against the nausea.

The last remaining crewman (#3) attacks the nearest Dragon Lotus (DL13). He hits and kills the thief. OOC: Who is this guy?!

Lavinia and Captain Rodrigo do their best to take defensive positions against their many attackers.

OOC: Okay, Kinstal, Kassius and Alohan left to play I think.

Kassius curses in dismay as he finds himself surrounded by foes. Kassius concentrates for a second, and his movements becomes suddenly smooth and subtle. Then he raises his bow and fires. He ducks back against the retaliatory blows, causing his first shot to go astray, but then as one of the man attacks, Kassius releases an arrow point-blank through the man's eye socket. He dies instantly, blood spraying the deck.

Kibeti is a whirling dervish, dropping first one attacker and then the other with quick claw strikes.

Kassius' target (DL8) makes a clumsy attack of opportunity that does little more than buy him a few more seconds of life - the hunter does indeed turn him into 'chunky salsa' the moment after that.

The two Dragon Lotus thieves that Kibeti attacks (DL11&DL12) don't even have time to regret their career choices before he rips them apart.

Kinstal, feeling rage at the betrayal, swings mightily at the closest Dragon Lotus Thief(11), and then at his partner(12) next to him.

Kinstal steps away from the vortex of swirling white water that is the elemental, ignoring its ineffective swipes at him (due to prot. from evil the AoO has no effect). He turns and moves over to Lavinia's side, swinging at the two Dragon Lotus thieves as he also guards her. Both of the men (DL1 & 2) fall to his sword.

The leopard looked savagely at Rowyn, behind her it crouched hoping to land a surprise attack on the woman, but missed its bite landing next to it.

Angati saw the future of the cat's jump and concentrated on switching to a better attack (MF used) and this time, the big cat managed to bite her shoulder fiercely. Grapling the woman on a fierce embrace. The cat's claws showed then in preparation for the attack on the next round.

Back on the Sea Wyvern, the battle rages with fierce intensity.

"Focus on the mage!" screams Shefton. Dragon Lotus thief #7 takes a 5' step to flank Celene with DL #5, and all three of them attack the vomiting sorceress.

OOC: Sorry buddy, nothing personal. Just following orders.

All three of them hit and force the succubus tainted girl back onto the gunnel, close to death (14 hp).

DL6 attacks Urol and misses. DL4 attacks Tolin and misses.

Rowyn fights like a wildcat, hissing, cursing and spitting as she tries to break free. Finally she manages to half pull away and begins chanting the words to a spell and her hands begin to crackle with negative energy.

OOC: The DC was 24. Oh so close...

Alohan covers her mouth with his hand at the last minute and Rowyn's eyes bulge in surprise as the effect of the spell is dissipated. She bites his hand and the barbarian pulls it back with a yelp of pain, allowing her to scream out instructions to the water elemental before he re-establishes his grip more firmly again.

"KILL THAT WOMAN." Rowyn has her eyes firmly fixed on Lavinia.

The water elemental roars in affirmation and charges within range of the noblewoman (triggering an attack from sailor #3 but I can't even be bothered rolling for it.) The poor girl is battered by wave after wave of water leaving her close to death (23 hp).

OOC: Hits even with Kinstal's bodyguard thing in effect.

OOC: You get negative XP if the party patron is killed. Just saying...

SP3 attacks the captain of the Blue Nixie, but despite the man being able to do nothing else but vomit, he escapes damage.

SP9 attacks Zan and misses.

SP4 tries to climb out of Celene pit and fails.

SP12 finally manages to finish loading the ballista. It can fire it next round.

Kassius only triggered one AoO as DL6 used his single AoO on Urol when the gnome drunk an extract. I didn't roll for the AoO on Kassius - it was a miss. I didn't say explicitly in the text that it was an AoO because I was applying a bit of poetic license. But thank you for being very honest about it! :D

Kinstal hits the elemental and cleaves some foam and spray from it (10 hp due to DR). It is clear that it is going to take a long time to fell this beast using brute force alone.

Boosted by his mutagen, the strangely terrifying warped gnome steps forward and swings his gnarled walking stick into the pirate who tried to attack him, bellowing a high-pitched squeal of anger.

As Anansi got next to Celene, she touched her as she casted a protection spell "Do not attack any of these beasts directly, and they won't be able to harm you again.... while the spell lasts"

The oracle then casts a protection spell to the sorceress (triggering an AoO from Shefton which she also dodges!). Celene isn't able to stop puking long enough to really say thanks.

The jaguar continues attacking Rowyn (14 damage).

OOC: Whew. So tired! Youngest has been having stomach problems. I will process the turn when I've had a chance to catch up on sleep.

Kassius, feeling confident in his ability to dodge finishes off the second sailor attacking him, and then turns, seeking another target. However, he is unable to get a clear shot and the arrow misses.

Kibeti turns his attention to the nearest enemy and tears into the summoned water elemental. As he does, the vines streak out of the cat's claws, grasping the elemental in place and clawing it up further, caused chunks of water to spray onto the deck.

Kassius kills DL7 - the man doesn't get an AoO since he used it on Angati. The hunter misses his second target.

The fact that Kibeti is just attacking water doesn't stop the great cat doing a lot of damage (15hp & 9hp after DR). Furthermore, the cat somehow even manages to ENTANGLE the great mound of water!

OOC: Ssesh. I really researched this one before posting and it is legit. Water elementals are corporal and can be grapple and entangled and the like!

Alohan tries to get his arm around Rowyn's neck and pin her, but the nibble cleric is able to keep him at bay for another round.

Kinstal places himself bodily in the path between Lavinia and the water elemental while Kibeti entangles the monster... it is not enough, one of the water elemental's attacks still connects and knocks Lavinia right off her feet. She doesn't get up again (down to -5hp).

"Ha ha!" crackles Rowyn. "There goes your new girlfriend Alohan!" The Lotus Lady and the Barbarian are still locked in a death grip, even as the jaguar rips her back to shreds. Rowyn shrieks like a banshee, and manages to pull her arms free and cast a spell (casting check passed and AoO from jaguar missed thanks to nat 1 rolled). "Alohan," she whispers softly. "Let me go my love..."

The big native warrior hesitates. Something in his brain tells him that this is wrong but every thing in his body aches for her. And her voice! Like slippery velvet, he would do anything just to gain the approval of that voice...

21:11, Today: Dungeon Master rolled 21 using 1d20+2.  Alohan will save.

"Dat is being enough out of you woman!" he shouts, and redoubles his efforts to pin her down. Rowyn wails in dismay as her magic compulsion falters.

Shefton and DL5 continue their efforts on the sickly Celene, but DL5 lowers his blade, unable to bring himself to attack her.

"Fool!" yells Shefton. He turns from the man and cuts the sorceress down with one strike of his blade. (8 hp damage, down to -2 including the temp hit points).

DL6 continues his unsuccessful efforts against Urol.

DL12 finially manages to get the ballista reloaded and then lines it up on Urol. The bolt flies true and flies into the gnome's back! (15 hp damage). The savage pirate screams in triumph.

SP3 turns its attention to Logan but misses the thief.

SP4 finally manages to climb out of the pit and leaps into the battle. He jumps onto the hapless Captain Rodrigo and bits him on the neck. The wound isn't deep (2 hp), but begins to feaster immediately. (Yay! More savage fever).

DL9 hits Zan with its rapier (6 hp).

DL3 attacks Tolin and misses.
