Re: Roleplaying in Pathfinder

Alohan Nuari:
I was mistaken. I thought the BBEG Cleric has appeared behind us (through the undisturbed double doors). In this case -since the GM made a snafu- the zombs cant take AoO. I could just... run past them and maybe tumble through Zomb #5 to the square behind.

Yeah, just to confirm, we now have a house rule that the staggered state means no AoO.

The BBEG is the red K on the map and he is at the eastern double doors.

Angati and Celene. Zomb #2 should be hurting. If we can try to take it out, that will help our chances.

Re: Roleplaying in Pathfinder

Angati doesn't have a slashing weapon. Celene also needs to hand Logan some holy water, hence pressed for move actions. I'll see what can be squeesed in, but the GM might interject?

EDIT: wait, Angati has CLW, which is touch attack, meaning easier to hit. Can you do that, Beni?

Re: Roleplaying in Pathfinder

Angati doesn't have to attack with a weapon. And keep in mind Logan now has both hands occupied with his weapons. I think Celene is better served going on the offensive then handing out holy waters. She should try hurling it herself if need be.

Re: Roleplaying in Pathfinder

Yeah, I just remembered the CLW, hence the edit. Sure, will forget about the holy water then. But her chances for hurling it herself is almost nil...

Re: Roleplaying in Pathfinder

Logan: I handed you a dagger as well as asking for the scimitar back. Daggers do slashing damage (unlike shortswords, for reasons). You'll probably do more damage with rapier and dagger than rapier and shortsword.

Re: Roleplaying in Pathfinder

So, I have a surplus move action. Too bad I can't Aid Another (Kassius) on Kibeti with a move action, like rangers/druids. It's full round for Celene if she needs to help. Getting Kibeti in the fight would be soooo nice.

But I also think entangling the zombies sounds good. Not sure what other consequenses it has, though (affecting us?). Also, they might just break free anyway... Well, your call Kassius.

Re: Roleplaying in Pathfinder

Not sure how much it requires to take one down, but even if by some miracle this is enough, it would still be good if Angati could take a step forward, right? To get moving space for us, and keep the zombies from charging Kassius, I mean?

Angati would take that step forward if possible at all to protect Kassius.

My grapple is actually at a 21 since I am still in rage-
10 + 2 BAB + 1 Str + 2 Rage Str + 3 Dex + 1 Dodge + 2 Improved Grapple
Edit: Ill go through my sheet and better notate all of this since it is pretty unclear. Sorry about the confusion-

That is our grappler!! Go Alohan!

Any zombie actually managing to grab him should get a MF!! That'll teach them!

Also, Z2 is dead...

Just spotted the Z2 thing, corrected. MF has already been used against Z5.

American Football season is right around the corner. Being from Philly, I am a die hard Eagles fan. Kassius/Aengus, I never got to learn if you were a fan. and Logan? What about you?

Beni, John and Johannes get a pass since, well, European. As a result, I hereby declare all three of you Eagles fans. Expect a care package in the mail with your user manual and paraphernalia.

Re: Roleplaying in Pathfinder

I'm more of a fan of college football, having gone to a certain Big-10 school that was ranked #1 in pre-season standings.  Also, the fact that I grew up in Cleveland and was getting into sports right around the time when the Browns became the Ravens and left for Baltimore probably diminished my interest in Pro Football.  That being said, I don't get too much time to watch games these days.  Kids keep me busy all weekend!

Re: Roleplaying in Pathfinder

My father inculcated me with fandom of a certain not-to-be-named football franchised located in the nation's capital. I have fond hopes for the season: I hope the team can be in the top 5 in it's division, and top 15 in the NFC (the bucs do exist).
Despite all of my pessimism, I'll be watching the games faithfully come Sunday!

Re: Roleplaying in Pathfinder

Hey guys (sorry, a non-football question:-)), can you tell me if creatures (animals) summoned on Summon Monster I can bypass DR/silver, due to either their celestial template or their Smite Evil ability? Ok, it's mainly a question (or rather a rules call) to our GM, but comments are welcome I think :-)

Re: Roleplaying in Pathfinder

I do not think they do. The smite evil on the celestial template seems to be different than the Paldin's smite evil, despite having the same name. The Paldin's smite gives double damage on the first attack again some targets and auto-ignore DR. The celestial smite evil is just +cha to hit and +HD to damage. The extra damage may still be helpful in getting some damage past though!

I actually miss counted. I should have one more round of Rage. I used up 5 rounds. Next post will be my 6th. Going forward, I have to remember to keep my first round of Rage as 6  |  6 and only tick down to 5  |  6 for my second post.

Re: Roleplaying in Pathfinder

Ok, thanks Kassius. No good against the BBEG then. I could use it now, yet, I think i'll not use that yet, hope you guys are okay with that? I might need to save some real steam for later on. I have a feeling this is just the beginning...

So, another chuck with the machete next round, Alohan? I'll give ya all a boost?
But would you mind moving back and to the side, to allow a range attack afterwards? :-) Celene will remind him in-game.

Re: Roleplaying in Pathfinder

So if i understand correctly, both alohan and logan can move back after their attack roll, without risk of AoO, leaving the zombies out of melee, for ranged attacks?

Celene has a flame lance ready, but of course, we might want to conserve holy water for BBEG... ??
