FAQ: House Rules

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS: As always, this lit is subject to change or revision. It is up to you to keep up to date on it.

-I don't care what version of a character sheet you keep for yourself. However, the one I use, and the only one I will accept is the www.myth-weavers.com version. It's real simple to use. It is nice, neat, and uniform. All you have to do is share the link.

-We do not roll to confirm critical hits.

-We do not roll dice unless I ask you too. The major exception to this is a follow up roll.  Like in combat, if you roll a hit. Naturally go ahead and roll damage.

-Weapons made of lightweight material like mithral or dreamstone or darkwood may be used with the weapon finesse feat.

-When rolling for healing items, roll 2d4 instead of 1d8.

-When rolling dice, post your results in the Dice Rolls thread.

-Do not write one-liner posts. I'm not asking for you to write a novel. But put some thought into it. Give us some thought, some kind of reaction, some kind of fluff, facial expression, pause to take a sip from your coffee, roll your eyes, lean back in your seat. SOMETHING. The more you give us to react to, the better reaction you will get.

-Keen weapons and Improved Critical do stack.

-Bonuses from ammunition and ranged weapons do stack.

-You are responsible for keeping track of your experience. The Experience Tracker thread has the details.

-Get yourself an Avatar. No black and white drawings or anime please. Try not to use the same 5 or 6 we see in every game. Fill out your description, too.

-Keep track of your combat stats under your character details.

-Extra damage from things like Sneak Attack or High Strength are included in the multipliers for critical hit damage. Yes. Critical hits are nasty.

-I don't like Combat Maneuvers. It is just an extra set of stats to keep track of. So we don't use them here. Instead use the 3.5 version of the FEAT.

-Special Attacks, like an Improved Disarm still do their normal damage for landing a hit.

-Armor has Damage Reduction.

-I'm going to try to avoid bogging things down by keeping track of weight. But if I see you slipping and you're somehow carrying 36 items of inventory, we're fixin to have a talk.
