Nah, I am enjoying the game, and am willing to continue.  There are times where I get that bug too... and some of my games are suffering it currently.  I keep poking things, and sometimes they go well, other times, I declare them dead, bury them and move on.

I am in one game, that has been active/inactive for several YEARS..... gone through three different GM's, and 2 Reboots.  I think (not 100% sure, but close), that I am the oldest member on the board.  It is currently again in an inactive state.... so I poked it, and two people started posting again :P

I am all for continuing, even if it turns into me vs the worlds.  Not sure who else is still around, but hoping we can continue.  I am enjoying the hell out of this :)

P.S.  Congratz on the Birthday :)  Just keep us (me) informed about what is going on.  Hiatuses are common... I just hate when GM's vanish without a trace.  If you plan on closing up shop, just let us know.  If not, thats cool :)  Just let us know what is happening.

Champions definitely isn't my first rodeo and while overall it's not been my longest game, it is the longest in a while. Before coming to this site, I had one game that ran a couple of years and in the end was more or less just me and one other player - There's also a roleplay that's been around for 6-7 years, mostly dead for most of it, but I still check back every so often.

Anyhow, sorry about the short (and delayed) post, just trying to get the ball rolling again and catch you and Vassad up with each other.

Sorry.  Computer died, and the times i have been on with laptop, i thought it was on someone else.  Can we revive this?  The gm still out there with you?

I had meant to close the casket a while ago, since no one was even visiting the forum anymore, but I forgot as other things came up. I did at one point scrawl down some notes and ideas for a reboot of Champions, potentially set further into the future however didn't get far with it, as other worlds I've been working on got in the way. I don't know if a direct continuation of where we left off is possible at this point.

Solo game!  Well i would like to continue, but understand if you lost interest.

I wouldn't be opposed to a solo game per se, after all the best game I've ever ran ended up being a solo game for close to a year after all the other players went up in smoke. However I feel like Champions won't work as a 'singleplayer' game (even the name is plural), but I'm not against restarting it either - I did really like the ideas I had for the current and future Chapters, with some ... exotic places, I wanted to visit! I am currently actively developing a sci-fi/space/sandbox-ish game (with three other semi-active projects on the back burner), though that has hit more than a few writer's blocks as of late.

The idea I was entertaining before as a Champions reboot, was to set the game maybe a 100 or 150 years into the future, near the end of the Fourth Era instead of only fifty years after Skyrim. My basic premise was to really muck things up for Tamriel, setting the game in a time where the Empire is no more or teeters on the verge of total collapse. I was also looking at options for a better system, with my sights set on D6 or Mini Six since I've recently become interested in it and prefer lightweight rules, but didn't get far when ideas of cosmic proportions grasped my attention. The storyline would probably follow our current mold, although lately I've really been in a sandbox 'do-what-you-want' mood...

But as I said, since there was no breath here my other projects kind of took over and I never made it far in developing the potential reboot. Just thought to throw my ideas here and see what thoughts it might rattle out of you two (I see you Vassaad). :)

Never done mini six, but I am sure it wouldn't be terrible... I had done the old WEG d6 Starwars.

Well, I would need to work around the character alittle, but I always liked this character.  Are you thinking of having the Proviences independant again?

Well you came out of nowhere... And I think Mini6 is just a free or public version of D6 iirc...

Hi Misha we missed ya'! You're welcome to stick around if a reboot happens, I'm not sure myself though!

And Vassaad is right, Mini Six is a stripped down version of D6 including the basic rules (website). It's simple, lightweight and could easily fit into the Elder Scrolls (or any) universe, which is why I've grown so attached to it; I prefer to keep things fluid and on occasion cinematic, instead of having to roll for stepping on a bug or going around every corner.

To Nasrudin's question, that thought had crossed my mind. In the preliminary write-up I had it set so that after Tidus Mede II's assassination, a Potentate was chosen but he failed to keep the Empire together, with Skyrim's independence setting the snowball rolling, eventually seeing to the break up of the Empire and the birth of many factions that would vie for the Imperial throne - All the while the Dominion jumped on the opportunity and invaded Hammerfell in full force. Alternatively I thought that an angle where the Empire hadn't collapsed yet could be fun too and we could play around with the politics around it some in-game, since the Champions would eventually need friends in high places to reach their ultimate goal(s) and obtaining those friends would inevitably require doing favors, scratching backs and rubbing shoulders with the aristocracy.

Well, Nasrudin IS.. or at least WAS, part of the Aristocracy..  but I would need to make changes, or change the character, dependent on a few things... one of them being, WHEN this takes place.  After all, my character's backstory does involve a bunch of things related to the games...

That was one of the plots I was waiting to try and resolve.. figuring out what happened to dear ol' dad.  Something tells me I wasn't going to like it... like he went insane, and I was going to be forced to kill him or something... but I don't know.  Part of me was thinking we needed to go around, activating all the towers of old... to reset Nirn.

Part of me would LOVE to see places I haven't seen, like Akavir.  But, with so little about it, while that means a GM could do whatever he wants with it, it also means allot of stuff would have to be made up based on the bits of info given.

Things are going alright here in the frozen north. Though I didn't expect to see a post here when I logged in yesterday! Figured everyone had moved onto other, better games by now!

I was enjoying it, and was having a good time.  It wasn't deleted, and stayed on my sticky, so I decided to go ahead and say hi

I do that from time to time.  Had a few games revive because of it.. some not so lucky.

Yeah I never deleted Champions because I was considering a revival/reboot of the game, but tell you the truth I haven't even thought about RPGs since October! Only logged in a couple of days ago to show the website to a friend.

Well, your altmer dude is still here. Ready to restart or continue as you wish.

I have been feeling the roleplay itch again lately, so I'll certainly have to consider it. I make no promises though! :)

Understood.  I just really like this character... at least the story of him.  I want to see him go somewhere.
