Re: Out of Character Discussion
So, as I said in the post - I've created a wiki for Champions, which can be accessed Here and I'll be putting the link in the Story Information -thread as well. From now on, any and all important lore will be stored and can be found on the Wiki, as opposed to being crammed into the Story thread on the forum here.

In reply to Daro'Misha (msg # 30):

technically its not god modding, you were carrying something, and I literally took it form your hands, you could respond... Or just let it go and give it up to your two hurt team mates.

Daro'Misha:
Daro'Misha wastes no time reading everything. She grabs everything, even the seemingly inconsequential book. She scans over the letter but considers it unimportant for the moment. Instead, she turns to the group. "No weapons here, no. Lock the door and let us run, yes?"

You just grabbed.... You did not put anything in your pocket, you did not stash anything away in a pouch or inventory, you just grabbed. And I grabbed back.

Re: Out of Character Discussion
Well, technically, that's what makes it God-Modding. Vassaad just grabbed everything from Misha and stuffed them into his pockets, with no regard to what Misha was going to do with the items. Also, even though Misha didn't specify what she did with the stuff, from a purely gameplay standpoint; Misha grabbed everything out of the chest and so they were in her "inventory" and characters cannot access another's inventory, without permission from said other char's player or myself, except when the character might be unconscious or dead (but even then, the "never assume success" -rule applies).

However in this situation, it's not that big of a deal (so do not edit your posts). Misha has the right to refuse giving the items to Vassaad in her next post, but given the circumstances, I don't see any harm in the potions being used to heal Vassaad and Nasrudin, and the book and letter are available for everyone to read anyway - But I'll leave that up to you Misha, essentially Vassaad's post froze in time the moment he tried grabbing the items from you.

In the future though, if Player A finds say, weapons or spells in a container, it is up to Player A to distribute them however they wish. No other player should just assume to grab them from Player A, unless A specified they just left the items lying around. And, to avoid future misunderstandings, whenever someone finds something somewhere, they should clearly state what they do with the item(s); Do they pocket them, hide them or offer them to others, etc..

And I'm going away again to NZ for 2 weeks, damn fate. I might be able to post, but free wifi is as elusive as unicorns in the Antipodes, but not with the same regularity.

In reply to Nasrudin (msg # 39):

Maybe just doing the action "Nasrudin skimmed into the spell book" would be good enough. Though the thing is, is it transferable. IE can you learn it, then I learn it, and so on and so forth.

Re: Out of Character Discussion
Maybe you should have tried reading it, in-character to find out. ;) Seriously guys, more posting, or we'll never get out of the dungeon! Mush! Don't be afraid of trying some things or actions, I'll confirm whether or not it works in my subsequent post. Just as long as you keep the "never assume success" ("Nasrudin tried X; Vassaad attempted X; Daro'Misha did something, in the hopes of X" etc..)-rule in mind, it's all cool in the hood.

However, unless otherwise specified, all spell tomes have one charge - Though it might be possible to reinvigorate them, so to speak, with a powerful enough soul gem.

Does Daro'Misha now have a full set of armor save for the helm, or can she find Vambraces too to cover the arms?

Ah, there were no gauntlets or braces in the dungeon. You can see your armor in your character sheet.

Oh look, we escaped the mandatory intro and now have a single road which the GM wishes us to follow. Fellow players, I now proclaim it our solemn duty NOT TO FOLLOW THAT ROAD! For this is the ELDER SCROLSLSL! We have MAXIMUM FREEEDOM! Screw the main plotline, I need to go put monocles on mudcrabs.

And don't you worry guys, I'll be sure to make the story all super convoluted and totally unpredictable. Just like the actual games!

But honestly, who DIDN'T see Skyrim's Dark Brotherhood quest's "big twist" coming two games away.

Re: Out of Character Discussion
Oh... you see, I was horribly disappointed in Skyrim.  I mean, I played all the games except Morrowind (Don't ask, I just never got into that one..), and, well.... Daggerfall is my favorite...

Cities FELT like cities... loads of buildings, their own instance, walled... Whiterun... a major trading hub...

1 general store, 1 weaponsmith.. one alchimest, 1 Inn... 1 temple.. 1 archer store... 12-15 homes?  Never actually counted them, but their are a few resident places.... OH, and three vendors.

So, for a major capitol of one of the wealthier Holds in Skyrim... their are, 2 dozen people maybe?  I mean, Solitude felt ALITTLE better, but still felt, empty...

Daggerfall, in exchange, had like 30 something shops, 10 Inns, and people EVERYWHERE.  Sure, they were all pretty generic, and I know to get that kind of quality in a 3d fully voiced game would be hard, but I thought the cities in Oblivion were better then tehy are in Skyrim...

Not to mention, no matter what I did, nothing really seemed to change...

Three things I wish Skyrim had:

Better Cities
More political remifications (Being a Thane actually meant something, and could change the game in more ways, or leave access to possibly becoming a Jarl)
Allowed you to work for the Thalmor, OR had a seperate camp where instead of the Dragonborn, you played as a Thalmor agent.

Re: Out of Character Discussion
I thought every TES game was an improvement over the previous game (except for THE MMORPG THAT SHALL NEVER BE NAMED). Sure, each has room for improvement, but with the time they got they put down a solid game each time where I happily spent hundreds of hours. The compactness of the cities, meh, I know what you mean, but it never really bothered me. It made things easy to find and the cities were not really my focus of the game. And I'm sure I haven't explored every house yet even now.

Re: Out of Character Discussion
Honestly, I'd rather have a few dozen buildings I can enter, instead of hundreds that I can't interact with in any way. Besides, it isn't as big of an issue, considering all the other content available (especially so, if you mod the game) - I mean, I have over 200 hours in Skyrim and I haven't finished the main quest even once. I've become archmage, assassinated an emperor, robbed nobles blind and fought on both sides of a civil war, and still have hundreds of hours worth of things to do.

Though I must say, who would ever want to be a Thalmor agent? They're all pompous supremacist butts and actually worse than the Stormcloaks. Not to mention if playing a Thalmor agent was mutually exclusive to being the Dragonborn, you couldn't ever complete the game - Considering only the Dragonborn can defeat Alduin.

Although I agree with the ramifications, not just politically. I love how in Oblivion, after you save Kvatch, people actually react to you all like, "Holy crap! You're the hero of Kvatch!". In Skyrim though? "Whatborn now? Who? Alduin? Nah, never heard of him. What civil war? Shut up and go mop my floor."

Re: Out of Character Discussion
But that was just it. In daggerfall, you COULD enter every building that was there.  And sure, I logged hundreds of hours in Skyrim as well on several different characters.  Doesn't mean that I wish it was a bit different.

You know, I loved fast travel in Daggerfall.  Asked how you wanted to travel, told you how long it would take you to get where your going, had a brief chance of encounters, and asked if you wanted to camp outside, or if you wanted to stay in Inn's.

Since I have my game on the PS3, I do not get to do mods.  Also, while I like mods, and think they are great, I don't use those to judge games.  As for who wants to be a Thalmor Agent, I like elves (First TES character I ever ran was a High Elf from Summerset in arena, aside from my 10 minutes playing an Orc in Morrowind when I saw it at my friends house.), and really, they have a good point about Talos, (even the Imperial in The Talos Mistake admits it), and hell, they sort of have a right to be.
