Re: Out of Character Discussion

Vassaad, you wouldn't really know about Ancano and especially not about the Gray Cowl. Even Misha wouldn't know about it.

Right a educated mage doesn't know shit about arcane artifacts, and I can't mention someone that I already mentioned.

Fine edited, but don't bother Nasrudin, just get us to the Garden.

Re: Out of Character Discussion

Just going by what is being said... probably know OF Ancano..

this is why it would have been good to know what the DB had, and had not accomplished, so rumors and other things would make sense, considering the fact, I was in Skyrim at the time of the Dragonborn, and your from Skyrim shortly after those events.

But, it seemed like little importance, so I never really pushed the issue.

No me and Et'Ada had a civil discussion, and I do not know the name of the Thalmor that killed Savos Aren.

Which just ruined the joke, and now I just want to get on with the next quest, since our banter was interrupted.

Edit:

Well I orphaned at the College one or two years after the Dragonborn's visit anyways. I lived in the College till the Nords kicked us non-nords out. And im still a Stormclock. But appreently Ancano became Voldemort

Re: Out of Character Discussion

Well, if the Eye of Magnus thing happened, and the Psyjik order took it, they would probably WANT that to be not discussed.  But again, what do I know. I wanted to know if Blackreach had been opened, and I was told no, so the Dwemer capitol is still hidden away.  Wouldn't mind going on that Atherium quest :P  But I doubt that happened... (though, talk about some serious Dwemer knowledge), and that Runed Lexicon quest would have been something my character would have done given the chance.  Again, doubt it happened though.

Re: Out of Character Discussion

As I told Vassaad, I have my reasons.

And for you Nasrudin, to put it bluntly, your character had nothing to do with any quest-line that appears in Skyrim, exceptions can be made if appropriate, but mostly you were up north doing your own thing, which doesn't mean you didn't have your own share of adventures. Just don't think you were a big, famous/influential hero in Skyrim, or something.

Aside from not canonizing the Dragonborn's identity, the reason I left their activities to obscurity, is because most of the things the DB did, wouldn't really have had an impact outside of Skyrim. Even the Dragon Crisis, at least in Champions, was a pretty Skyrim-specific situation and didn't really spread outside Skyrim, until after Alduin was killed and the surviving dragons scattered across Tamriel. The last 'posting guideline' kind of applies here as well, you really shouldn't assume to have been involved in or have intimate knowledge of, any specific quest that happened in Skyrim or before, without confirming with me first (like Nasrudin has been doing). If something comes to your mind at some point, shoot me a private line or PM, so as to avoid future confusion.

Re: Out of Character Discussion

Of course not.  But for rumors or other such things, might come up (Such as a powerful artifact being found in some forgotten ruin, or people riding dragons in Solesteim, if that happened at all.)  The war was canonized, and it seems the DB didn't play a role at all in it.

Most side quests though, i wouldn't consider major.  So they might have gone unoticed by the DB.  However, other then some of the Dwemer specific sidequests, and the major Dawnguard one involving the temple.(which you never said happened or didn't), I just assume In was exploring, reading in a library, and more or less trying not to get lynched by Stormcloaks.

FYI, it's probably somewhere between nine and half past nine in the morning, with Misha being some ten minutes ahead of the main thread.

I do apologize for the silence again, my head simply wasn't anywhere near a 'fantasy' setting and while usually I can just crank up my fantasy-playlist on spotify, this week that just wasn't possible and not for a lack of trying.

Nasrudin; 'Ring', as in it sounds similar to Ta'agra, which is the Khajiit language. I should have made that clearer, sorry.

Funnily enough, as I was proofreading that post, I thought "ring of Ta'agra" sounded confusing, but decided against changing it in the end, and usually I obsess over making my posts as clear as possible too!

Re: Out of Character Discussion

I wanted to let you all know, I will not be on for the next week or so.  My grandfather just passed, and I am going to be flying to his funeral in NY.  Will be spending time with friends and family while there, so Internet stuff isn't going to be high on priorities.

Take care, and see you again soon.

Re: Out of Character Discussion

Well that's a real bummer, I've lost both of my grandfathers years ago, so I certainly know how you must be feeling right now. Very sorry for your loss Nasrudin, and take all the time you need. :)

In slightly happier news, I just realized Champions is over a year old now! The first post I ever made here was on the 10th of March 2015 and the first story post was on the 18th! I consider this quite the achievement since, as you've all seen, I'm absolutely not the best GM on the planet (the "great file loss" of last year certainly didn't help) and while I have my personal reasons, I feel I've fed you guys enough excuses. My point is that I'd just like to thank all three of you for sticking around, despite everything!

Would have gotten around to posting yesterday, but we had a little family get together in honor of May Day and I was beat afterward.

And fortunately no, we haven't lost Misha! She just needs a little hiatus due to personal reasons, but she's told me she'll be back soon as she feels up to it. :)

Re: Out of Character Discussion

Well shit. It really has almost been a month! I for one still have a pulse but, well all I'm willing to say is that for the past few weeks I've been crippled creatively, to the point of just avoiding this website altogether, although not entirely by intent - The days just kind of blur together when you're unemployed! Which, ironically is also its only silver lining; Having all the time in the world. More or less. Otherwise, I've been fairly well - Turned 22 on the 14th, so there was that!

But back on the game; If there's will, I'm all for keeping her going. After all, we've somehow survived over a year, why quit now eh? I'll have to look through my notes and catch my bearings before posting, though it might fall on tomorrow since it's already past 11 pm here. But in the mean time, feel free to give me your thoughts or let me know if you're sick and tired of my shenanigans, that'd certainly be understandable too. :)
