Re: OOC - Game Discussion
Well that is true but still the extra time to pause and collect my thoughts should have had me rip-rearing-ready to post as soon as you were done ;)

Anyhow posted so we can get the show on the road...

Alright, finally setting out from the beach this morning (if my sister in law gets her butt out of bed in time for checkout).

I'm sorry for being slow, every time I tried to sit down and post someone *had* to talk to me.

No worries.  I didn't even know if you had anything you wanted to post so I just gave it about 48 hours before updating.  Just assume that if 1 of you posts that the other has 2 days before I give an update.  If neither of you post then I'll just have to wait. :P

Goodness it's been a hellish week... can tomorrow not include someone yelling at me at work, please? I'd rather not make it 5 days in a row.

Re: OOC - Game Discussion
I don't want to sound like I'm upset at you guys but I need to say that I just can't maintain interest in running a game when there's 10+ days of waiting for a post, or when I have to badger you here in the OOC thread to get you to post.

If the game isn't interesting to you then please let me know and we can either stop or find some way to make it more fun.  I am, and always have been, open to talking about improving my game and DM skills.

I hope that I've made my posting requirements fairly clear in the past.  I know that real life can get in the way of playing, but when that happens over and over and over again it really hampers the flow of the game.  If you can't commit to 2-3 posts per week per player then maybe we can put things on hold until you've got the time to play.

Alternatively if you're just waiting for someone else to post then say something to that effect in this thread so we know you're not waiting on us.  As I've said, if both of you make a post then I can update the game ASAP, but if only one of you posts then I'm going to wait 48 hours before updating so the other player has a fair chance to get their actions in.

I don't intend this post to be a personal attack.  I appreciate that you two have stuck with me as far as you have and I really do want to keep this game going for as long as you're willing to see it through.

Re: OOC - Game Discussion
No, you have every right to be annoyed.

And I'm sorry, I was actually about to post today...

I got thrown a couple curveballs recently messing with my concentration at work. For the last three weeks I've been doing datafixes where I can't split my concentration too much or I'll mess up... so admittedly I thought I posted a few times and realized I didn't. Those are going to be over for the next few weeks at least. I'm on call 24/7 Tuesday-Friday evenings this week for disaster management during payroll implementations going live this week meaning a semi captive audience.

I had been waiting for Ihvon who's had a few major curve balls too so it's been a vicious cycle.

I'm going to try to make it my goal to post within 24hrs. You haven't lost me at all... my brain has just been sadly pulled too many directions for a while. You should see the state of my laundry... I think my husband is going to have a coronary for letting it pile up while I've been brain fried.

Re: OOC - Game Discussion
I don't actually mind when real life gets in the way.  I can easily put the game on hold for a week or two if you guys have stuff temporarily preventing you from posting regularly.

What bothers me is when I don't know that there's going to be a delay in posts.  If you don't think you'll be able to post for a bit just let me know when you think you'll be available again and that way at least I know how long the wait will be.

Note to self... phones refresh pages after a few hours and wipe unfinished posts...

Next time I need to pop it into the scratchpad overnight instead of letting it sit in limbo and risk it disappearing. I had to rewrite that whole internal argument. >_<

Re: OOC - Game Discussion
No you are quite right I should have made mention of what was going on immediately and instead it turned into a recurring thought in my head of, 'I'll be able to today' and thinking that it was only yesterday that the initial post was made and I had time to make it.  For that I am really sorry and I'll work to redouble myself in things as we go forward to make sure that pause or no you'll stay informed.

I almost did the same again today as the AC partially broke due to a power surge.  Florida weather without AC is something I'd never wish on my enemies.

I'm working the post out now.

Re: OOC - Game Discussion
Thank you guys for being so understanding.  I feel bad getting worked up over a game.  As long as you guys can keep me informed about your ability or inability to get a post in that's all I ask.  If we need to take breaks from time to time because life is getting in the way then that's fine, as long as I know that's what's happening and I'm not just waiting around for a post.

Thank you for being so understanding :)

As for being worked up over a game, we all do when the game is our baby.  Even more so considering we have been playing with you so long and mostly stably.  I'll try and make it my usual thing when I toss a post and I know that things might be unstable to also toss an ooc at the same time.  Prolly will help me a lot just like you.

Re: OOC - Game Discussion
If you guys are finished talking with Bodeway for now we can jump forward to the next morning.  Just let me know what time your characters would be out and about.  I don't think we worked out any sort of lodging for Ihvon since he ended up riding out of town within hours of riding in. :P

Just assume you can find a poor, common, or good inn to stay at, or if you like a small inn suite.  See this list for prices: http://www.d20pfsrd.com/equipm...s-servants-services/

He could always sleep on my apartment floor if he wanted to be cheap. :P

I'm good to move forward if Ihvon is, I wanted to note her wanting to talk to the Trustee in case he piped up about something... never know what little details might pop up.

Re: OOC - Game Discussion
I've been watching Boardwalk Empire and it's giving me all sorts of ideas for stuff to include in this game.  The 1920s style is a pretty good representation of what I envision for my games.  Maybe with a touch of steampunkery.

Re: OOC - Game Discussion
I do need you guys to weigh in here and decide how you'd like to move forward in-game.

1) Split up and take care of talking to multiple people at once.
2) Stick together and talk to folks in a specific order.
3) Something entirely different.

At this point the people you've got business with are:
A) Syaahn Hescarll - The Vishkanya Trustee who may be able to prevent the sale of Viktor to slavers.
B) Chelermas - Sheriff Torks asked you to speak to him about the undead creatures you encountered to see if he could offer any insights about the vampire who created them.
C) Bodeway, Shaman of the Broken Horn - To see if he can scry on the vampire to gather information about its location.
D) Sheriff Torks - After speaking with Chelermas, to decide if you're going to join in the posse to eradicate the undead.

Also keep in mind that while the sheriff is rounding up a posse Bodeway has said his tribe will likely send a war party to eradicate the undead as well.  You might consider letting one, the other, or both of them know about the others' plans so as to avoid nasty conflicts?

Re: OOC - Game Discussion
Sorry Keroman, forgot to post on Monday I had one all set up. My husband's cat from when he was in elementary school just had to be put to sleep. It's been distracting me a bit trying to keep him from the gloomy thoughts.

My plan, and Ihvon please pipe up with yay or nay...

I'm thinking we tackle the Trustee and Chelermas separately then regroup. While Ihvon is more diplomatic I think this is going to be one of those cultural situations.

What do you think? Give me an idea of what you want to do and I can come up with a reply.

Re: OOC - Game Discussion
No I agree.

Each going to handle their own kind is for the best.  I can swing by Torks to fill in Chelermas on the attitude of the vampire and Torks as to the fact that Bodeway is putting together a war party as well.  If Aasa hasn't caught up by then Ihvon can then go to Bodeway to let him know the status of the posse, potentially ask him some other questions, and link back up with Aasa.

Re: OOC - Game Discussion
I'll get a post up later in both of your private threads to move things along.

Since you're splitting up it seems like your best option is to meet up again at the Shaman's tent later.  Aasa will speak with the Trustee first, while Ihvon speaks with Chelermas and then with Torks after that.

Sorry to hear about your husband's cat, Sizara.  Losing a pet, especially one you grew up with, is very much the same as losing a family member so I don't blame him for needing some cheering up.

I'd like to get your guys' opinion on something.  In the latest posts in both of your private threads I included some "flavor" details.  Did you guys feel like I went overboard with it at all?  Would you prefer I give more or less detail or is it fine as it is now?

Re: OOC - Game Discussion
I liked the details! It gave it a lot more for me to work with for those little nuances.

I'm working on a post to hopefully finish in the morning. I had to stop abruptly this afternoon during a lull at work because of all days today the flat roof finally gave in and the ceiling started raining water on my desk. Seems to be just not a good week for my family.
