Re: OOC - Game Discussion
Vampires in my game world tend to find other options besides humanoid blood, or at the very least find a more humane option than taking blood by force.  Some use slaves, some pay people for their blood, some will take blood for several years as a payment for a promise to turn the donor into a vampire eventually.  There's lots of situations where it could be construed as a necessary non-evil act.

Re: OOC - Game Discussion
As far as having your character meet each other on the road I'm a little iffy on that.  Ihvon's character would be coming from Gallivare across the ocean while Aasa is likely coming up from the southern continent where her race initially hails from.  I do have an interesting idea on how your characters might meet.

Like I said, Ihvon is accompanying a noble who's main purpose in town is to purchase slaves from the local jail - long-term prisoners who might want a chance to get out of their cells even if it means wearing a collar.

An undead lord from Naxus is also in town looking to acquire slaves from which he can harvest blood a few times a week.

Obviously there's a bit of conflict there, but it gets even better.  The young noble and the vampire lord are down at the local jailhouse talking to Sheriff Torks, and they get into a bidding war over a prisoner by the name of Viktor.

Ihvon is there as an assistant to the young noble (I really need to figure out a name for this guy) while the Sheriff has notified Aasa about the recent arrival of the man she's been tracking down.  The Sheriff is doing his best to convince the two bidders that the prisoner is not for sale but neither is taking no for an answer.

What do you think?

Ohoho, do not get between Aasa and Viktor... one hell of an introduction. I like it.

Sounds like a good idea.

You know every time I see Gallivare my eyes first see Gallifrey and I wonder when did the Time Lords get incorporated into the game.

Ha!  Sadly I'm not really a Doctor Who fan.  Everyone I know says it's right up my alley but I gave it 2 full seasons to grab me and it just never did.

Which Doctor? I only really liked the 10th, David Tennant. Haven't seen a ton though.

I thought the 10th was Christopher Eccleston.  Maybe he was the 9th?  But I definitely saw at least 1 season of David Tennant and just.. meh.. didn't really care for it.

Aww, well, to each their own. :)

I thought he was the ninth too but if you look him up he's listed as the tenth. O.o

Eccleston was good, Tenant was good too but the first season of him as the Doctor I couldn't get into him in the role.  Somewhere in his second season I finally enjoyed his portrayal.  Of course I also watched some of the original 60's Dr. Who with the First Doctor that made it all the more interesting...if the stuff back then was campy.

Re: OOC - Game Discussion
Sorry for taking so long to update.  The party worked out alright despite a lot of people not showing up until later.  Fury Road was just absolutely fantastic.  I'll be seeing it again either today or tomorrow with my brother since he couldn't go with us the other night.  I think it'll turn out to be a classic in the action genre, right up there with stuff like Terminator 2 and, of course, The Road Warrior.  I'm excited to see where George Miller takes the franchise next given that Tom Hardy claimed he'd sign on for at least 2 more movies.

I'll stop myself there for now.  I'm a huge Mad Max fan and I could go on for days about the series.  I'm actually now looking at getting a big vinyl decal of that steering wheel logo that Immortan Joe branded on all his soldiers.  Probably put it on the hood of my car or on the doors or something.

Anyways.  Update incoming within a few minutes of this post.

Re: OOC - Game Discussion
No worries at all.

I loved the original Mad Max/Roadwarrior/Thunderdome...even if the third was more than a bit quirky.  Looking forward to finally getting the time to see the new one.

Now's the time to let Caylif know about what you found or what your plans are.  If you're fine with rolling with things as they currently are planned out then we'll just move on ahead to the next day.
