Re: The Prophecies of the Triad and the Four Seals.

As Marissa unpacked the pack, she carefully set the cloths and other items aside and read the journal. She tried to cypher what was written. It seemed clear, but if she was wrong.

Finally, after some time, she spoke to the others.

"Sarah stumbled upon something that is well worth risking all our lives for. There was a Seer, a long time ago. she foresaw that 3 Forsaken would try to release the Dark One and if successful, it would be before the Light was ready for the Final battle."

"Three people would be needed for this ritual, a madman, an archer, and a wise woman. Roger, Jennor, and now Mirya have been taken."

"There would be 5 that could only stop this plot with the aid of these items. Those five are named as the two who are one, the noble seeker of love and family, the one who sees without seeing, and the one who takes others burdens."

Re: The Prophecies of the Triad and the Four Seals.

Marissa picked up the two rings.

"These are the rings of the Maiden, and the Rings of the Spear. Each of you should wear one of them." Marissa holds the two rings out in the palm of her hand for the twins to grab.

"Taren, are you noble born by chance?"

Asurri listens carefully, Wheel weaves as the Wheel will, I pray the Light guides us to prevent the breaking osf the seals.  Asurii the reaches for both rings and put one in each hand and then behind her back. "Let the Light guide the chooser to the ring that is best for her."

She brings the hands forward and holds them out for Raiel to choose.

Re: The Prophecies of the Triad and the Four Seals.

Raiel listens to Marissa's words, they were not so strange considering all that had happened to them so far and what had brought them here to begin wiht.  She clearly remembers the spirit world about how Emon's Field would be overrun by Trollocs if they did not do something.  Prophetic words it seems after all.  Considering Marissa's friend being here with these items and the story she wrote done.  All the piece were falling together.

They were the five she had not doubts about that. two men three woman, all the descriptors seemed to fit as well as she knew them except about the noble but she know he was searching for his family and Mirya,  She was his love-Raiel found that interesting as well.  Off course Addaru took on burdens not his own because he was Marissa's Warder,a and Asurii and she were the two who were one.

Asurii reached out her hands holding the two rings.  Raiel really did not care which she took but she considered the matter first and silently asked the Light for guidance and then she reached for the one in her right hand.  Sure in the knowledge that it was the one she should wear just because she choose it.

Raiel took up the ring and opened herself to the one power to discover, if she could, what ring this was, before she slipped in  on whatever finger fit it best.

Taren shakes his head no, "But I do believe I am noble of heart and I do seek my family..."

Taren stutters to an ackward pause then a blush begins to climb his neck and flame his face before he can go on.

Addaru looks up from resting his chin on his chest, saving Taren from continuing, "Trust me.  Taren fits the Noble Seeker.  I am the one who takes on other's burdens. Though I will not speak of it except to say there could be no one else among us given all things."

Engraved upon the ring is the symbol of a young woman, unclothed from the waist up, depicted in what appears to be some type of defensive stance.  Raiel has taken the Ring of the Maiden.

As she delves the ring with the One Power she comes to realize it is a unique item with definitely some type of affinity or alignment with the One Power but whatever those special qualities are, it will take Raiel some time to unlock its secrets.

Marissa smiles at Addaru and says, "Then these are for you," handing him the belt and the helm.

"Taren, the boots go to you and the bracelet to me."

"From here, we must go East. Sarah's Warder was killed in that direction thinking he had found one of the Three's hideouts, or was very near."

"Raiel, it might be a good time to use you statuette of the desert hawk.  Maybe you can connect with a bird out over the area where we will be going."

Asurii slips the ring of which ever finger it fits and then focuses on standing watch.

Once Asurii has finished her watch, she takes a second bowl of soup, for it was their practice never to over eat.  She found a place to sit and took out the ring that had been left to her.  She, too, gathers the One Power and examines the ring.

Taren nods to Asurii as he accepts the boots from Marissa.  Beyond the exhaustion, there is the look of one in conflict...of one torn in two directions.

Slumping to the ground, "I will try but I must rest first."

For the moment what the Ring of the Spear may do is unknown however Asurii is left with the feeling it is safe to wear.

After some time Marissa is certain of three things though how they all fit together is another story.  It is certainly a sa'angreal that greatly amplies the use of One Power but only when multiple channelers are linked.

The Dawnstar itself has something to do with containment of the One Power.  Marissa comes away from the delving feeling exhausted and knowing that she has a long way to go to truly understand this item.

Addaru frowns as he looks at the helm before taking both items.  He walks over and accepts a bowl and sits down to eat.  Then returns for a second and third bowl obviously ravenous from the healing.

"Thank you," Marissa says as she takes this meal, and eats it. She is starving and soon has a second helping, all the while seemingly in thought.

"Have you learned anything of the rings?" she asks. She has her suspicions, more of a hunch really of what ties the items together; other than the prophecy. She needed more information on what all the items did.

Raiel makes sure all have been served and then digs into her own meal. to make the soup go further she takes out some of aiel trail rations and chews of the sustaining rations of dried dmeats, grains honey and dried fruit all formed together.

Raiel will take time to try to work on the ring to see if she can learn most but her eyelids droop and so she gives it up for the day and curls into her blanket.

Marissa nods and reaches her hand out. Taking the ring, she will channel the smallest bit of spirit into the ring. She will do the same for the other ring, or other items, if asked.

Asurii does as Marissa does, channeling different affinities into the ring to see which one it reacts to.  Once she feels a reaction and will then use that affinity to probe the nature of the ring.

Re: The Prophecies of theTriad and the Four Seals.

As exhaustion sets in, Marissa and the twins are almost certain that the Dawnstar and the two rings help enhance the amount of the One Power that can be channeled specifically to contain or counterspell other uses of the One Power but it may be easier to delve the specifics after everyone has rested and recovered.

Asurii take first watch.  Wake me when it is time  Raiel drapes her cloak over her not wrapping herself up in it.  She could get up quickly that way.

Asurii puts off delving the ring and takes up her watch.  She remains alert keeping her sense tuned to the sounds and sights of the night, keeping contact with the One Power to enhance those senses.  She noted a star in the east and waited until it was a halfway to zenith, a quarter of the night, and wakes Raiel.

After Raiel is up she releases the One Power and like Raiel she sleeps lightly under her cloak a spear in hand.

Re: The Prophecies of theTriad and the Four Seals.

With the ward vs Shadowspawn up, Marissa snuggles up next to Addaru, more tired than she had been in some time. Her ability to channel had increased, and with her angreal, she could channel much more.

Tonight, it was an emotional weariness. They had lost so much, in just a few hours. It seemed like the were walking in quicksand, one step forward, two back, and sinking deeper.

She trusted the twins to wake her when it was her turn and to know that Taren and Addaru needed their sleep to fully heal.

When she was awoken for her turn, she channeled a simple weave, using her angreal and with the new one fastened around her wrist, to detect shadowspawn in the area. She wanted to know if there were any outside of their warded area.

Re: The Prophecies of theTriad and the Four Seals.

The night passed slowly, events weighing heavily on some, exhaustion from healing weighing on others.  The Darkhound pack had left the vicinty at some point in the night but they had the scent of you now and if they chose to hunt you, it would place you all in grave danger.

But for now, things were quiet and as the hours passed, strength was regained through rest and by morning, beyond the hunger and the torn clothes, there was no real evidence left that a battle had taken place between Darkness and Light hours before.

[Private to Marissa: The bracelet seems to store the One Power as you channel the weave through it.  You can feel it pulsing inside, waiting, and you are sure it could hold more...much more.  But your weave actually operates at less proficiency as the One Power is drained away from it.  However, there are no Shadowspawn around for some distance.]
