Addaru raised an eyebrow, "I think I was misunderstood, for at least the first part of the journey I want us all together as there is strength in numbers especially with the hounds out there.

"Scouting this place, whatever it is that Sarah's warder found, will come once we have a better idea where it is.  From there if I go scouting on my own, then I shall honor your spear toss Raiel."

Having packed his gear during the hours spent learning weaves and then practicing forms with Taren, who had become by all rights quite the accomplished swordsman, Addaru began saddling Mothem, "Shall we be off then once you've tied off the various weaves?"

"Hrumpf."

"I am Dar Dareis Mai. We are scouts as well."

As you say we will go together for now and perhaps who knows that we will do later."  She says eye to eye with Addaru and those  gleamed.

Addaru nodded, "I do not question your skill Raiel, we have traveled far and fought together as companions.  Until we have either dealt with that pack of Darkhounds or have confirmed they have left the area, none of us should be separated from the rest."

"A sound strategy," say Asurii, also sure Raiel cheated by spreading her hand to take up more space.

"Next time I get to toss the spear."

With no horses to prepare Asurii and Raiel were ready.

Taren prepares his own mount and double-checks the litter that is carrying Mirya's body.  Lingering for a time, he softly brushes back her hair, something he never would have dared do any other time but he finds himself naturally drawn to do so.

Finally though, he stands and prepares to begin the journey.

With the camp now broken down and the firepit disposed of in an orderly fashion, the companions make ready to move out.

OOG: Don't forget to mark the appropriate weaves down on your character sheets that you learned.  Also, before I move us forward, I want to know the strength at which you are setting each weave and who is performing it?

Addaru nods to Raiel, "I must first pick up the trailsign before we set out.  Raiel, you and Taren come with me.  Taren I would have your assistance while Raiel watches our backs.

"Asurii, stay with Marissa and Mirya unless we call.  Marissa can you please keep the horses calm.

"We will not be going far and you will easily reach us or us you if there is need but before we travel, what I can learn from the tracks will be of an aid to us."

With that Addaru sets out, taking his time to examine the area around where Sarah Sedai's body was found.

Taren nods, quietly following Addaru out to Sarah Sedai's last stand and begins to examine the ground around where she fell and then was later immolated.  He points to the crushed stalks and trampled grass, as well as other signs as he assists Addaru in unraveling the chaos of the combat that occured with the direction of travel and flight that was taken.

Raiel hand talks quickly to Asurii.  <<I am be good enough to watch there backs while they search.>> she make a scoffing gesture <<I should thank them for that>>  then signs again <<Never!>> with a clear emphatic gesture if the negative.

Marissa IF you please see what you can make of this item I have carrier from Malkier.  Raiel holds out the small craving of a bird a desert hawk even to the reddish color.  It is  an angreal that much I know, but I do not know what it does.

Raiel picks up her spears and weaves the detect Shadowspawn weave.

"I will watch your backs." Raiel says flatly, her eyes keen. She means to to exactly that.  She would not shirk her duty due to ire certainly not against the Shadowspawn.

Addaru nods, "Thank you Raiel, there are few that are as adept as you in battle and fewer still that I would trust to be able to protect us, many of those stand here now in this company on both counts."

He seems unaware of Raiel's change in tone though his own tone is one of complete sincerity.

"Raiel, the Hawk in not a angreal, but a item that allows the user to see out a a bird's eyes. You, like I also have an Angreal +1 a small statuette of a female."

She signs back to Raiel, <<Why are you so upset?>>

"Before you all go, I think it would be best to join in a circle and let Marissa make the weaves so they can be at the highest possible level."

Marissa nods. "We can link, and pass the weaving around so that each monitors for something different, otherwise, one person would get a warning and not know whether it was Shadowspawn, channeler, or Darkfriend."

[Private to GM: Linked, with the angreals, the weaves would be level 6, using a 0 level weave, 1 for channeler, 1 for linked, and 4 from Marissa's sa'angreal.]

Re: The Prophecies of theTriad and the Four Seals.

It takes Addaru roughly ten minutes to decipher the chaos of the trailsign and determine with absolute certainty the trail that was Sarah Sedai.  Without Taren's aid, he is not sure he would have found it at all given how badly contaminated the area was with tracks and trailsign, though it was certainly odd for Darkhounds to leave as much as they did.

As the three practicioners of the One Power tie off various weaves, the company sets off though Addaru is walking leading Mothem by his reins pausing at times to confirm the signs and follow the tracks.

A brief stop is made for a quick lunch of cold rations and other sustenance before the company pushes on and by mid-afternoon, Addaru holds up his hand to stop everyone, a short distance away is an abandoned campsite.

Holding up his hand to indicate that everyone should stop, Addaru observes the abandoned campsite calmly, "If this is the camp of Sarah and her warder then I hope to be able to pick up his trail, even though it is a remote chance given the age of the sign itself as we know not how long it has been since Sher'tem left to investigate and I very much doubt he made it back here so there won't be fresher sign of his comings."

Re: The Prophecies of theTriad and the Four Seals.

Taren took a few moments to check on Mirya when the call to halt was given.  Checking to make sure she was comfortable, he tucked the bedroll around her more firmly as it had loosened during the journey.

He did this more for himself then anything, he could feel the pressure of her presence faint and distant, far to the north ... certainly not to the east, the direction they were currently traveling.

Suppressing a sigh, Taren stood and walked forward to where Addaru had stopped.

Re: The Prophecies of theTriad and the Four Seals.

Marissa walked along, leading her horse as well. trutch be told, she needed the distraction of walking and leading the horse, or she would worry too much about what lay ahead.

So, much has happened in such a short time, she was still sorting through it all. She knew what must be done and thanks to Sarah, they had a decent idea of what they were up again. She hadn't wanted to voice it aloud, but it was likely they would be facing at least 3 Forsaken, and whatever of the Dark One's resources he controlled.

With luck, it was only 1 Forsaken. She tried to recall everthing she knew of those sealed away with the Dark One. One was known for working from the Shadows, and considering the dream world her own. The unseen enemy was often the deadliest.

She searched her memories for any clue as to who might work with the Spider, or likely to try to release the Dark One Early. She thought it more likely they were women, perhaps Lanfear or Graendal. Either of those two might enjoy having control over the 2 men.

Yes, I have small carninvg of a bird.  Supposedly I can see though their eyes but I have never used it before.

I could give it a try but expect not miracles.  i I could find a hawk or ragle it would be best.  Their eyesightis keenest, perhaps an owl if it is still dark.

Taren quietly moves to assist Addaru but his mind is clearly distracted, fortunately while he doesn't initially help, neither does he hinder.  He keeps glancing toward Mirya emitting a small sigh now and again without realizing it.

IGA: It is going to take Addaru and Taren some time to decipher the trail signs left here.  Once I know who is holding each of the other weaves, I would also like to know what each of you are doing while they are busy.

Re: The Prophecies of the Triad and the Four Seals.

Spirit flows into the stattuete and the One Power begins to flow through, glancing upward Raiel notices a bird, probably a hawk though it is hard to tell from this distance...

...then suddenly she is seeing through the bird's eyes and for a moment a wave of dizziness hits Raiel as she adjusts to the difference between bird sight and human...

It takes a few minutes to adjust fully before Raiel understands what she is seeing; a great expanse of plain that slowly becomes lightly wooded foothills and mountains beyond...

... there are only a few different animals scampering about but suddenly the hawk spots a rodent and plummetts from the sky, once more causing a brief of wave of dizziness as the ground rushes up....

... then the hawk is soaring into the air once more.
