"If it's something she inherited I don't think it can be taken care of." Difyr said.

"That's...worrisome. Is there any way at all to find out?"

"I don't think so." Difyr said miserably. "It doesn't seem right, someone being like that because of their parents."

"No, it doesn't. And then look at Sileas who tries so hard to not fall into the life that she had been born in to."

Pinja stirred the broth with her spoon but could not bring herself to drink any of it. She set it aside with a sigh.

There was a knock at the door. Difyr opened it and saw two knights and a large crate in the hall. Difyr sort of bounced in place, her eyes lighting up. Finally, supplies! She could treat her patients properly now.

"That's too big to fit through the door, just open it and I'll bring the stuff in myself." Difyr said and turned back inside. "Aalyssa! Look!"

As one of the knights used his sword to pry the lid off the crate, another handed Difyr a folded parchment. It was the knight Difyr had given her list to.

"That, er, woman you had a letter for wanted to write back." The knight said awkwardly.

Difyr stuffed the letter in her pocket. She was curious about letter but the supplies were more important. "Thank you, were you able to get everything?" Difyr asked, picking up fresh clean bandages.

"Yes." The knight said. "Some of it I couldn't find, but she had a lot of it..."

"Good. Thank you again. I think we can manage this." DIfyr said.

The knight seemed happy to leave.

Liadan stumbled into the healing room. "Aron!"

Aron was sitting on the floor, leaning against a post while talking with Shawn.

"Aron, something terrible has happened." Liadan shook as she reached down to grab her husband's hand. "Yehudit got on a boat with Sileas, Lek doesn't even know where the boat was going."

Shawn had started to excuse himself and leave, but then he heard Sileas's name. "What?" he asked, turning back around.

Liadan glared at Shawn. "Your daughter brought Yehudit onto a boat and it sailed off and no one knows where."

Shawn sighed. She couldn't even relay information without going on the attack. Once he had Sileas back, and after he corrected her for doing something so unwise and irresponsible, he was taking them to Farthington. And he would somehow make certain that Yehudit was unable to follow. He wasn't sure how yet, but he would think of something. "I guess I'll go find Lek for information since you can't be civil ever."

"This is why I didn't want Yehudit with Sileas! Now I don't even know if Yehudit can be found." Tears escaped Liadan.

Shawn didn't even bother pointing out, yet again, all the times he heard Sileas trying to get Yehudit to stay behind. He would never win with Lia and she was blind to her daughter's stubbornness. He turned on his heel and left the room. The sooner he could pack up his family and go to his parents, the better. He was tired of dealing with Lia and her attempts at poisoning everyone against him and now Sileas.

"Aron, we have to do something." Liadan said urgently.

"Do you have any sort of plan? Any idea of where they went?"

Liadan shook her head. "Supposedly they're going to that island Nelek is on, but these people could be slavers for all we know."

Aron sighed. "Truthfully Lia? If we have no idea where they were headed, I don't know how we'll find them. The ocean is supposed to be huge."

"I know, but there has to be something we can do." Liadan fretted. "We can't just let our daughter vanish."

"A shame we don't know any wizards or seers."

"I don't like magic..." Liadan shifted uncomfortably. She glanced towards Aalyssa, weren't elves supposed to be great trackers?

"It's not like we know any wizards or seers," Aron said.

"We need to take care of this ourselves." Liadan said.

"I'm willing, I'm just wondering how," Aron said.

"Go to Portside and make someone tell us where that boat goes." Liadan said.
