Yehudit pinned the kid's arms to his sides. "It's mean to knock people over- especially when they are crippled!"

Felix twisted and squirmed until he could bite her, hard, in the upper arm. "Is mean to deny a small boy a home!"

"Ow!" Yehudit swore again. "And I told you to go to Sileas for a home!"

"Don't get along with Oscar," he stated. "I want a home of my own!"

Yehudit scowled. "I'm around Sileas all the time- you'd still have to put up with Oscar."

"But I wouldna have to live with him."

"Yes you would." Yehudit said. "I go where Sileas goes." Yehudit was oblivious to how that might not work after Sileas and Wulfsen married.

"I heard about people like you. Girls that like other girls. Must know a family that would welcome a lad."

"Wha-no! I like guys!" Yehudit sputtered. "Shirtless guys with muscles. Sileas likes guys too."

The boy wrinkled his nose. "Promise to find me a family and I won't cut your purse."

Yehudit scowled. "Fine."

The boy smiled and backed away. "I want food."

"Of course you do." Yehudit grumbled. She took some hardtack from her pocket and gave it to the kid.

"How comes Oscar got meat pie and I get some stale biscuit, huh?"

"Because I only have hardtack. If you want meat pies latch on to Sileas." Yehudit said.

"Ye've got a right fat coin purse on you. Might be I should just help myself like I were going to."

"That's my money." Yehudit hissed. "Sileas has a much fatter purse than me, and Wulfsen's must be even bigger. Go pester them."

The boy hit her in the nose, jerked the coin purse until the strap snapped and he fled into the crowd.

"Hey!" Yehudit knew she couldn't catch the kid with her bad ankle. "He stole my purse!  Sileas!"

Sileas was deep in negotiation with the vendor over four day to day outfits and one good one for Oscar. She didn't hear Yehudit's cry.

Yehudit angrily swore a blue streak.

Juniper never did like kids. And this showed on her face as she was interrupted by the sound if small feet knowing into her legs. She looked down and the rascal, staring deep into his eyes as a way of silently threatening him. Before she could be wrapped up in the chaos that seemed to follow Yehudit she quickly stepped over to Sileas.

" If we're taking these boys then let's be on with it. Those guards seemed interested in coming back with larger numbers. "

"Boys?" Sileas stammered. She turned and spotted a boy trying to look innocent and another happily spending Yehudit's coin at a toy stall. She glanced at the vendor and tripled her order. "I'm going to need help rounding up the other two, I haven't had the chance to speak with them."

"Your little momzer robbed me!" Yehudit complained.

"Just help me round him up. Be nice to him," Sileas admonished, taking the now large package of clothing. "Come along, Oscar."
