Bai nodded, thinking up what spells he could use to make the healer let him see Pinja.

"it's a shame that we can't temporarily change you into a woman. That would make this lots easier," Sileas said as she headed for the door.

Bai stopped. "Well... It would take a lot of magic."

"But you would be able to get in and see her, check for a curse and remove it if there is one," Sileas replied.

"It's so damned painful depending on the time of the mo-" Bai did not like this idea at all, but he knew Sileas would not know what to look for. "And it's hard to pay attention to other things."

Sileas' lips twitched. She hadn't thought he would stay in woman form that long, nor did she presume he would even need to deal with that sort of thing. "What other things? I can go in with you and help, you know."

"Anatomy. Being a woman is distracting if you're not used to it." Bai blushed.

"Oh. I guess it is something I can't help with," Sileas admitted.

"You're probably used to it." Bai said.

"Hmm." There were still many things about being a woman that Sileas was not used to. Sewing, dancing, cooking...she sighed.

"There's no way I can see her without becoming a woman?" Bai asked.

"Difyr is very protective of her patients. I don't know if simply dressing as a woman would work or not. But then you'd have to remember to talk like and woman and walk like a woman, so you'd be no better off."

"Would she let me talk to her as I am if she knew how important this was?" Bai asked.

Sileas shrugged and shook her head. "I don't know. When I was in Difyr's care and not wanting to see anyone due to...similar circumstances...she wouldn't allow anyone in my room."

Bai groaned. "Let's get this over with."

Sileas hurried over to give Wulfsen a chaste kiss then returned to Bai. "I'm ready when you are."

"I'm never ready for this sort of thing." Bai groaned.

"I wish there was another way," Sileas said sympathetically.

Bai grumbled unintelligibly as he looked over his clothes.

Sileas worried her lower lip.

"Not enough time to get a dress.' Bai muttered.

"I wish I could say I could help you with that, but I only have tunics and leggings," Sileas said.

Xavier knocked and poked his head in the open doorway. "Ah! There you are Wulfsen. Might I speak with you for a moment?"

"What is it?" Wulfsen asked Xavier.

Xavier kept his voice low so Sileas couldn't hear. "The men who accompanied the healer, Alyssa, to Portside have returned. Without her. They said she was apprehended by bounty hunters from her husband's kingdom and they refused to speak with you since they were apprehending her in Portside."
