Wulfse swiftly carried Sileas up the stairs. "Where should we go- a tower?" He whispered in her ear.

"Yes, one of the furthest ones."

Wulfsen considered for a moment, they were close to the center of the keep, all the towers were equal distance. He decided on the Garden Tower.

Sileas sat in her old room, waiting for her next magic lesson from Bai. Her mind seemed to be all over the place, she wasn't at all certain she would be able to concentrate properly. She hoped she wouldn't turn everyone into frogs or something.

Wulfsen poked his head in the door and smiled when he saw Sileas.

"Good, you're here! I have a few minutes before I have to check in on the weapon training." He said, striding into the room.

Sileas smiled when she heard her husband's voice, and got to her feet as quickly as she could so she could run over to embrace him. Worry over his safety had consumed her over the past four months, which was why her mind was in so many places. "Hi yourself."

Wulfsen wrapped his arms around Sileas and began to lift her off the floor before thinking better of it and deeply kissing her neck instead.

"How are you feeling?" He asked, his lips brushing her ear lobe.

She snuggled against him and then kissed his cheek. "I feel good. I'd be better if your brother had been stopped by now though. I feel like part of my brain is constantly on the alert and playing out fight scenarios. I wish I could relax."

Wulfsen deeply wished she could too, and felt guilty for drawing her closer to this trouble instead of protecting her better. This constant stress could not be good for her or the baby.

"He'll be stopped soon." Wulfsen said, promising something he hoped would be true.

"I know. It's getting more difficult to adjust my fighting moves every day." Sileas sighed softly.

Wulfsen had been concerned that Sileas’s fighting moves could harm her or the baby. But she had frequently been seen by Difyr and Aalyssa, surely if Sileas was doing anything dangerous for the baby the healers would tell her and she would heed their advice. Wulfsen ran his fingers through her hair. “The baby will be here soon.”

"I know," she said softly, lovingly rubbing her stomach. "I spoke with Mama about a few things I've been feeling that are...different for me, she said they are normal. We should start thinking about names. I haven't had any ideas for girls, and wasn't sure you would appreciate me naming a boy Larrigan after..." her voice trailed off and she glanced down at her hands.

"Naming my son after the man who died defending my wife and her family seems appropriate." Wulfsen said, reaching over to massage Sileas's shoulders.

Sileas smiled. "Larrigan it is then if it's a boy," she said, leaning against him. "That feels sooo good."

"If it's a girl maybe Maryanna..." Wulfsen's voice broke slightly and he continued to massage Sileas's shoulders.

Sileas reached up to touch his hand, resting her fingers on his. "Aye. Maryanna is a lovely name." She leaned her head against him.

"You hadn't set up the ward I told you about last time." Bai said, strolling in. "The lesser one so you know when someone is coming and you stop snogging."

"We weren't snogging anyway," Sileas said sadly. They should be, but instead they were preparing for a war.

"Are you sure about that?" Bai asked, eying the nonexistent space between the two.

"We are married now."Wulfsen said, but blushed slightly. He stepped away from Sileas but held her hand.

"Aye, we are certain." Her fingers wrapped around Wulfsen's. "It difficult to think about doing that when we are under threat."

"Well, I could make this even more awkward by showing you some potions to fix that," Bai said, flipping open a thick book on a table. "but the trouble with his brother is more urgent, correct?"

"That's not what we need." Wulfsen's blush deepened. "Please, continue working on magic that will help against my brother."

Sileas nodded, "Yes, that's more important to focus on." She sighed. "i'm so tired of fighting, and I was looking forward to enjoying my pregnancy, not having to worry every day about my babe."

"Your priorities are good." Bai said, putting a bookmark in the thick book, shutting it then picking up a thinner book.
