Yehudit frowned. "Mama won't let me go if she knew what we're planning. Maybe Ertzel can watch her?"

"That's all right with me, she's watched the girls before. But won't she be with your mother?"

"Yes, but Mama won't think much about Ertzel keeping an eye on Olivia while thinking you're with your Papa, and me with you. But she might ask questions if you ask her to watch Olivia." Yehudit reasoned.

"Hmm," Sileas said. "We can only ask and see what happens."

Yehudit nodded. "It'll work. We can do this."

"All right. I wish there were some clean rags around she could use as diapers."

"Just have her run around naked." Yehudit suggested.

Sileas leveled a look at her. "Tear off part of your chemise. About a foot wide would do."

Yehudit's eyes widened. "Mama is already upset about the state of our clothes. If I start tearing pieces off she'll go crazy."

"I would tear off my own if I wasn't wearing a tunic and leggings. We need something to use for diapers. Your Mama will just have to understand," Sileas said in a panic.

Yehudit sighed and tore a strip from her chemise. "Mama will ground me, or try to."

"Tell her I ripped it from your chemise in desperation." Sileas folded the fabric. Once they reached Ertzel, she would tear it into appropriately sized squares.

Yehudit leaned against the wall. "My walking stick is over that way."

"I'll go get it." Sileas ventured off. Olivia stretched and cooed in her arms as she sought the walking stick. "Aha." She wrapped her hand around it and went back to Yehudit. "Here you go."

"Thank you." Yehudit took the walking stick and leaned on it. "I should have it tied to my hand."

"I could probably arrange it but I don't think you'd like it very much."

"Save a lot of trouble." Yehudit said.

"You still wouldn't like it. It would be awkward and cause flashbacks."

Yehudit blinked. "Glue it then."

Sileas simply shook her head. "Let's go find Ertzel."

Yehudit hobbled off with her cane looking for her sister.

Sileas hurried after her.

"The girl said Nelek is on an island somewhere. But she can't tell us where."

"Has anyone tried showing her a map?" Wulfsen asked.

"They...er....put her in some sort of bubble and took her to the island under the water." Xavier downed the rest of his ale and refilled his mug. "She did say it seemed rather far but she has no idea of which direction she traveled."
