The young woman smiles. "Well certainly ill be glad to give you a tour and I can look to see if the commander is in while you visit!"

The woman lowers the drawbridge and comes out and greets the party with a smile and a handshake. "My name is Savra Belabranta and welcome.  Please follow me and allow me to give you the full tour."

The party followers Savra across the bridge and enter the tower. The entrance is a thirty-foot-long hall of white stone. At the opposite end of the hall are two twelve-foot-tall doors like those of the entry gate. An eagle carved from a massive timber hangs from the far side of the ceiling, suspended on strong chains. Slender wings of steel sweep close to its sides. Its head is also fashioned of steel.

"This is the Front hall of Feathergale Spire and you all actually have excellent timing. I would like to invite you all to join the knights feast this evening, we are commemorating the tenth year of the Feathergale Society!"

Yarabon elbows Og rather hard. "Should we really be eating, shouldn't we be asking why we were att.." Og hits Yarabon in the stomach but tries to keep it hidden from Savra but she just catches the exchange.

"Oh i'm sorry is something the better with the tour?" Savra says a bit confused.

Og tries to turn on the charm. "Everything is fine just some bickering among friends we have had ongoing for a while."

Savra shakes her head. "No, your hiding something from me what is it?" the womans eyes bore into Og and look at each of the others with concern.

"Well..." Og scratches the back of his head feeling caught. "We got attacked on our way by knights dressed like you."

"WHAT!" Savra says with surprise.  "That just can't be, we are a peaceful group. Commander Thurl Merosska will be at the end of this tour and he should hear about this too."  She turns and proceeds with the rest of the tour.

"So the rooms down here are mostly for members the kitchen, a solarium, some dorms and storage.  Below us is a stables.  Please follow me up to the next level." Savra leads everyone up to the second floor via a central spiral staircase with nice metal handrails curving along with the stairs. Along the way the party passes various knights and servants who greet them as they slowly move up the spire.

When everyone arrives to the next floor they are greeted with two more large doors which Savra pushes open and they are presented with a great hall.

This great hall spans half the diameter of the tower. Between the overlarge windows, tapestries depict scenes of gallant knights on flying hippogriffs, fighting dragons and jousting with one another among the clouds. High on the walls are the mounted heads of griffons, wyverns, owlbears, and manticores. A long, curved table set for a feast stretches between the halls twin hearths.

"So this is the great hall where the feast will be tonight and the adjoining rooms are dwellings for various knights of the spire."

She then asks everyone to follow her as she goes up another level.

"This floor are more rooms for the knights and the knight commander Merosska. Lastly we head up one more floor to the pinnacle of the tower."

At the apex of the tower, the stairs terminate at a round stone gazebo that continues upward in a needle-like minaret. Beyond this enclosure, a small lawn grows upon the top of the tower. Four paths paved with white stones point the directions of the compass, each path ending in a pointed stone crenellation. At the pinnacles edge is a spyglass on a tripod, pointed downward. From this vantage point, the Feathergale Knights possess a supreme view of all that transpires in the nearby canyon and the Sumber Hills beyond.

This spire is absolutely beautiful and the wind is beating against you as you reach up here and it feels like the tower itself is going to tip over from the sheer force.

Savra then turns to everyone. "Thank you for joining me on the tour, over there is the commander." she holds out her hand as a good host and points you to the commander then heads back down the stairs.

The commander of the Feathergale Knights is a well-built male human in his early fifties. Embossed feather patterns ornament the plates of his armor, and his kingly cloak boasts a feathered mantle. He smooths his white-blond hair into place, then bows low before you as if he were only a lowly courtier.

"Welcome to Feathergale Spire, retreat of the Feathergale Society. I am Thurl Merosska, the lord commander."

"We have come lord commander because we wanted to learn more of your society but also because some of your men assaulted us on the road."  Og then produces one of the wing suits as proof of the encounter.

Akraliph puts on the charm knowing her look can be disturbing to many her devilish features residing in a priests outfit but her real motive is finding these cults her lord has tasked her with wiping out and this is her first real lead she's found.

"Certainly" the lord commander says with a nod. "It was originally constructed in 2293 by the air genasi Meerain as a stronghold to battle against his former comrades, the Champions of the Dawn. It was abandoned in 2318 when the War of the Dawn ended with Meerain's death.

In 2954, I founded the Feathergale Society an elite group of aerial mount enthusiasts from Waterdeep.
"

He pauses to clear his throat then continues. "We do our duty for the realm, hunting and hawking threats like the aforementioned and still yet unkilled Manticore. We ride upon giant vultures and hippogriffs who have been specially trained to take a rider.  The wingsuits you saw are protection if something were to go wrong mid flight."

Thurls face darkens. "Great evil lurks among these hills," he says. "Depraved cultists led by wretched monsters. But let us speak of such matters after the feast has warmed our blood."

Thurl summons one of the knights guarding the doorway. "Take these guests to one of the spare rooms in the tower so they may rest and get comfortable before the feast tonight."

He in closing shakes Og's hand again and nods to the others. "Please enjoy your time here and stay for the feast it will be a great time I promise!"

Og and the others say their closing greetings and follow the knight to the room they have been given. After a few hours time in which the party heavily discusses their belief these guys are in league with the elemental problems especially after the feeling Og has talking with the lord commander it's agreed upon that they cannot stay to find out what happens they must act immediately.  Og tries his best to fight against this mentality but Akraliph will not relent seeing these creatures as an affront to Ilmater and Yarabon responds by kicking the door to their room open and running out toward the drawbridge and begins trying to murder air cultist guards.  The tower immediately becomes riveted in chaos as word spreads of the attack snd knights start heading towards the action, their numbers far outnumbering the party.

The party rips through the knights and initiates though one man escapes a hurricane monk who escapes on a vulture at the pinnacle of the tower.  From the distance as the party meets at the top of the tower sweaty and covered in the blood of their foes and themselves they see Aaracokra and Og recognizes them as sharing relation with Ooreek his fallen companion in the Lord's Alliance.

They greet each other and Og is very sorrowful for their loss but the regal Aaracokra stand proud and are thankful themselves for what they hae done here in this tower. "These people are a dangerous elemental cult of air, their lair is down in the Knifepoint gully" The Aaracokra from the pinnacle point out the exact spot in question. and sure enough the fleeing Hurricane Monk can be seen heading in that same direction. "For Ooreek and all of us this affront to the air must be stopped."

Travel to Feathergale Spire

The party first head down to the bottom level. A circular landing surrounds the central shaft of a spiral staircase. The landing is piled with supplies and bales of straw. Radiating from the landing are twelve stalls with straw-covered floors. A harness, riding crop, and saddle hang in each stall. Swinging wooden doors cap either end of each stall, one leading from the tower to the stall and the other from the stall to the open air.  It takes some time and effort but each member of the party calm and tame one of the hippogriffs to be calm around them and take them as a rider.

They then head upstairs and find a weapons locker full of basic equipment none of which is taken other than a few bundles of arrows.  They continue sorting and come across a kitchen

In this kitchen, sacks are heaped along the walls, and a small pile of vegetables is spread on a table. A huge, steaming cauldron stands at the center. Two wooden paddles and two knives hang on a rack next to a brick oven. Four wall shelves hold a dozen loaves of bread.

Other than food not much of worth is gathered or found in here.  They then enter the solarium A bright room that occupies the east quarter of the ground floor. Flowers and shrubs of many varieties grow in a labyrinth of planters. Spidery red and purple plants grow suspended in baskets in mid-air. No loot or clues of value are found within.

They then search each of the knights cells and find some gold they grab and a few feathered cloaks they choose not to take other than some wing wear Akraliph takes from one of the knights.

Finally they come across the Lord Commander's quarters and a very interesting letter which reads "Merosska, We are pleased to hear about the outcome of your altercation with the Black Earth cult, and we praise you for the capture of one of their prisoners. This noblewoman from Waterdeep has an interesting tale to tell, and we shall enjoy interrogating her further. Keep a close watch on the Sacred Stone Monastery. I want to know what our enemy is planning next. Your beloved queen, Aerisi Kalinoth"

This letter begs the question who is Aerisi Kalinoth, perhaps she resides in the gully the Aaracokra mentioned and they saw the fleeing monk flying towards.  It also confirms several suspicions.  One that this group is likely a cult of air and secondly it confirms what they found from the sinkhole back in Red Larch and the beings that killed Xelael.  An earth cult also exists, residing in a Sacred Stone Monastery  The letter includes a small map and location of the Sacred Stone Monastery and out of revenge for Xelael and Ooreek there is consideration they should make that their primary target but it is decided the promise to the Aaracokra is too important and they already have the air cultists on the run it's time to finish them off.

Insider Lord Commander Thurl Merosska's room is also found a decent pile of gold in pouches a potion of heroism and a few scrolls the party stows away.  Finally the party meet back with the Aaracokra who watch over them protectively from the pinnacle while they sleep in the quarters that previously belonged to the knights.  In the morning they take the hippogriffs they have swayed to their side and take off towards Knifepoint Gulley
