The Sorina's Revenge is an independent merchant vessel that makes regular runs between Absalom and the colonies of Sargava but when the natives overthrew the colonial rule and redubbed themselves Vidrian, expelling both Inner Sea rulers as well as Shackles pirate overlords the new nation still wanted to trade with the wider world and while merchant consortiums were licking their wounds after losing their lucrative colony contracts, independent ships like Sorina's Revenge flourished.

Right now Sorina's Revenge makes regular trips from Absalom to Anthusis. The typical travel route involves staying close to shore until she hits the Arcadian Ocean and then traveling far to the west to avoid the Eye of Abendengo (the eternal hurricane off the coast of the Sodden Lands) and to avoid the Free Captain pirates of the Shackles. Once they hit the Fever Sea they start bearing east to make for the Vidrian Coast.

It is a dangerous route as it involves nearly a month of sailing about 1,500 miles in open water. In good sailing condition this can take about 4 weeks and with storms or dull winds twice that.

As a point of reference, this was the state of the crew right before the ship was captured by pirates.

Pirate
Full members of Harrigan's crew. Experienced pirates and raiders. Very skilled sailors but tend to be abusive and unpleasant. Comprised of bullies that like to pick on isolated Neutrals.

Mutineers
Press-ganged crew that used to serve on the Sorina's Revenge before rebelling against Sorina and backing her brother for control of the ship right before its capture. They have taken to trying to ingratiate themselves to Captain Harrigan and earn their place upon his crew.

Loyalists
Loyalists were those that tried to defend against the mutineers and fight against the pirates instead of surrendering. Nobody knows who they are loyal to anymore but they are surrounded by enemies and harbor deep feelings of resentment towards the mutineers.

Neutrals
Neutrals are those just trying to keep their heads down and avoid the political games the other factions are playing. Unfortunately this isolated nature makes it easy for them to be picked on by the pirates. The two "leaders" of this group tend to be safe havens for others to avoid the wrath of the rival factions.
