This arena is enclosed with a mossy wall surrounding a grassy glade bisected by a swift flowing creek. There is a sturdy wooden bridge over the creek and many evergreen trees scattered about.
A dapper noble sits in a chair beside the bridge watching the water flow, waiting for the gladiators to arrive and settle in.
Start in any space from A16:D17 (bottom left corner of the map)

The arena is a lightly wooded glade divided by a small creek which is crossed by a small wooden bridge. There are several raised grassy areas and numerous small bushy evergreens that stand about 10-15' tall and have a 6' circumference. Trying to move through any tree square is considered difficult terrain. A DC 17 jump check or DC 15 swim check is required to cross the creek. The creek flows south-east and is considered rough water... however anyone anyone failing a jump or swim check is moved 10'/round until they succeed to get out. The creek is about 5' deep at the center.
Here’s what I would like from each of you... In the Public part: list your position(s), initiative, and description of your actions (Free, Move, Standard, etc...).
(remember to be descriptive, bonus XP are awarded for quality posts!!!)
also remember, there will be one round of pre-round actions allowed prior to the battle beginning.
In the Private part: HP, AC (Full, Touch and Flat Footed with any additional modifiers), actions (move, standard, free, etc...), equipment, ammo, or magic items or any special feats that might come into play.

The gladiators enter and introduce themselves and the crowd settles down, knowing the bout is about to begin. Lord Danly checks the door, wondering if anyone else is going to appear and then after a moment rises and begins speaking. "Greetings once again my friends and faithful. I'm starting a group of younglings off for your entertainment. A common enough sight, a small group of travelers beset on the roadside by a group of bandits, but one that is worth watching nonetheless. Enjoy and welcome new gladiators... try to stay alive..." With those words, lord Danly claps his hands and in a puff of dark blue smote he disappears, only to reappear up in his box with a drink in hand.
The heavy wooden door opposite the gladiators opens and a trio of surly looking hobgoblins appears and looks around, wondering where their victims lay... seeing the gladiators, they draw swords and the match begins!

The battle is met... almost. The game of cat and mouse begins as Aatai approaches the bridge and Amelia follows along in his wake, singing and urging the heroes on.
The hobgoblins, after a couple muttered words among themselves approach the norther end of the bridge cautiously, spreading out slightly. As they stop they each hurl one of their javelins at the man, who calmly dodges 2 of the weapons and casually slaps aside the third with his open hand.
Then the gladiators have a chance to reply in kind...

as the groups approach the bridge the battle begins in earnest.
Aatai crosses the bridge in a rush and swings a mighty overhand smash that is as impressive and graceful as it is ineffective.
Amelia moves a bit more carefully, and fires an arrow at the westernmost hobgoblin, sinking her arrow deeply into it's side. The hobgoblin wheezes and falls back a step.
The hobgoblins retaliate. the one feathered by Amelia's arrow throws it's second javelin at the bard but it sales wide. apparently throwing anything with an arrow in your ribs is difficult, because the creature groans after the throw.
The othe hobs surround the monk, with the javelin toting Hob jabbing in and having the pointy head of his javelin blocked. The remaining hobgoblin steps up behind the monk and slashes him in the side with a longsword... which also apparently hurts, since the monk hisses off a yelp of pain.
And the battle continues...

The battle has moved to the bridge and the teams are hacking toe to toe...
Aatai drives one hobgoblin to the ground and lacks up a step to face off against the other.
Amelia fires a second arrow at the same, westernmost hobgoblin, and it falls to the ground in a heap.

The battle concludes...
As the monk smashes his staff into the last hobgoblin it falls to the ground beneath the small pine trees. Amelia's arrow slices into the fallen creature as it crumples and the crowd erupts into applause. The gladiators look around and the doors open, letting in a trio of guards and a small group of healers who check on the hobgoblins and remove them from the arena.
Lord Danly speaks from his box, "Well done my young friends! It was a long, hard fought battle but you prevailed in the end... I'll try to think of something trickier for next time." He waves to one of the guards and he hands a clinking pouch to each gladiator and nods to then politely.
REWARDS:
Congratulations! All gladiators get 350 XP and 500 Gold!
you can stop over into the Market thread and make your purchases with any leftover money from creation and with the spoils of this fight.
