Well now think, he is an experienced ships officer ... how many seconds before he realizes our ship isn't right?
We jump to odd places and seem to do things very differently than the lock step Vilani way.  I suppose we could fake it for a while, but at some point I think he's going to know we aren't what we say we are ... That said, if I could justify the trip some way, I wouldn't mind incurring a feeling of debt that might help make him useful.  And that's a risk on several levels, as we could easily find out that all his friends perished.

We get radios, frequencies, money and accounts, select weapons (and I get my CCW back), some survival stuff and food in case he needs to rough it for a bit.   We consider how hard it would be for him to exit with these items vice our just dropping him off on our way out.

Dropping him off is possible, but knowing where is a big problem. Better to get a vehicle and mount the Large radio in it, and let him drive out with that.

  (Wheeled (All Terrain)/Move:40, dDR:4, dHP:10, Has a mobile home in the back, includes everything for living away from civilization for 4-6 persons. Requires no fuel.

The concern is getting these things through customs hat was checking for small computer drives.  If this big stuff for his Anthropology explorations is not an issue, then we'll go that route...

The small car might work, although the truck is very attractive and by the time we buy all the stuff the car might need to support him, it could be 50% of the cost of the truck, which comes equipped.  IF we can get the truck in close and load it w/o much interference, that's what we'll do.  I am assuming we have enough crew with us to leave him a driver/assistant w/o limiting the ship in any way.

This is a commercial starport, so getting a truck in close is easy enough, as is purchasing it. You load it up easily, registering the trip as a company doing Anthropology research for their products. The truck matches that perfectly, and the personal effects he loads up do nothing to hinder that approach. How much cash do you want to leave with him?

Given what he may need to do, maybe $250k?

I can't think of anything, but am most appreciative of your assistance. I don't imagine we should have any issues with local security forces should we? We hardly look like a Pirate Ship.

I don't think she would have willingly done the NKVD guy... she was 26 when she started (Char creation), so probably mid 30's at this point.

He gives you a small parcel for Girii, and matching paperwork, to justify the trip, paying  $20,000 for job, but it's main purpose is to give you legitimacy.

Any other preps? System charts are $1,000 per system normally, purchased as jump tapes. This is one of the few times you do not have a sponsor...

Actually shouldn't need the jump tapes, I don't think, as I have Terran Computers. But may need system info, is that what you are calling Jump Tapes? I mean we surely took all the data off of Madame Fourcarde.

We can get a set if needed, but will expect a break on price if we are buying quite a few.

Vilani don't sell system information...they sell jump tapes, and these contain all the system information needed to jump there. Hence, if you do not have system information, you want to buy jump tapes. That make sense?

Yes, you can assume you had all the information of Madame Fourcade, but that would not have included these systems. They will give you all six systems, and Nushmi, for six thousand. Roll a Merchant roll to reduce the price...
