A small delivery

In reply to Sdian McGuire (msg # 47):

The Gashiddas take standard maneuvers, but the piloting skills manage to doge shots fired at the last minute, and as you power away, the missile can't quite catch you, exploding just a few hundred miles short of their target. You race ahead and manage to scoop some fuel as you race past the gas giant and continue out past, programming in a more distant jump point as you race away, putting significant distance between you and your frustrated pursuers.

[OOC: Limited access to the maps, will help if you can post a brief summary of system and where you are headed to. Thanks!]

Udikkaa System, 13 Sep 2177, supplies 1790/2000 (35 per week), Fuel left: 1 parsecs.

We jumped in near the star to avoid Vilani ships. we'll scan passively to find an opportunity to skim some fuel, then head for a jump point for Shir (jump 2); Shir doesn't seem to have any residents, so we'll head for the inner GG and hope it isn't patrolled, as it is far from the action.
Mean while, Sdian is looking for some action ... he'll Nudge (lesser form of hit on) the ladies to see if any of them are similarly inclined.

[Private to GM: 11:27, Today: Sdian McGuire rolled 12 using 3d6 with rolls of 1,5,6.  Action luck. someone will have to take pity on him ...  IQ is 12 and he has no direct skill, but does have Body Language, Fast Talk, Carousing etc. all at 11+]

In reply to Sdian McGuire (msg # 49):

The system of Shir is thankfully empty. The lack of ships is eerie after the previous systems, but the planet is not anywhere you would go for a holiday. Likely there will be patrols here, but they are not here today, and you can refuel in peace.

The only action seems to be aboard, where Nelaroi finally allows some action...on her terms. And they are not exactly usual terms, but you get what you can...

Well a little variation is instructive and you do want to keep the pilot happy, but he's not about to let her get dominate. He continues to stay playful with the other ladies as well.

A bit of checking and Sdian decides to head for Gagipagi, probably be the inner GG as no one is likely to be there, given no people or industry.  He'll refuel there ... he asks if anyone has any knowledge of Uriisha, as it is easily the simplest and most direct route. He is not sure why it gets special markings on his charts.

In reply to Sdian McGuire (msg # 51):

That is a pity, dominating is exactly the fun she had in mind. She is not keen to play the submissive girl...

Gagipagi has a single habitable planet, but it is a hot and dry place. Heading for the inner gas Giant, you avoid it and find a place you can refuel in peace. Once again, the system is not patrolled. It would seem the patrols are all busy elsewhere.

Uriisha is an odd place, primarily due to the native life there.

Nugriiri

Nugiiri are a small winged species originating on a small planet with less than 0.6 Gs. On such planets they can fly, but on planets with greater gravity they struggle. They have club-like tails and they are very dedicated to their own communities and they live their short lives serving them. Very little is known about them.

Gagipagi System, 27 Sep 2177, supplies 1720/2000 (35 per week), Fuel left: 4 parsecs.

Not making her be submissive... we can cooperate, but I won't be dominated, and for what it's worth, don't care to be dominate either.

Gagapagi works, map indicates it is barren with no life ...  what sort of operation makes it worth the effort?  Assume mining, but?

After fueling we'll jump to the outer most GG at Uriisha and refuel if not bothered, if we are, we jump straight to Limun.

In reply to Sdian McGuire (msg # 53):

Given the population is given as zero, I am not sure what operation there you are referring to.

The jump to Uriisha is without incident, and there are no Vilani patrols at the gas giant.

As you are refueling, you get a very uneasy feeling thoug, as if someone is watching you. Extra scans reveal nothing.

We will jump to Limun's inner GG and refuel, scanning the planet "Hell world" to see where we would/should deliver these drugs.
Also looking for Vilani ships, of course.

OOC - I can change his "Likes Sex" to promiscuous and ditch some other DisAd if you want ... seems more appropriate to the character.

Did Nelaroi play on or disappear in a huff?

Still looking for company in my cabin during off duty times.

In reply to Sdian McGuire (msg # 55):

She would want some of her games played, or else she would disappear. After all, she is quite  bit older than you...the dis-ads are your choice, I try to play them out as I see them. A boy with a whole lot of mature women...may not have as much chance as you imagined unless they were cougars, and not all would likely be! The uneasiness around Uriisha distracted all the ladies for at least a week.

Limun is a mining colony that is currently under quarantine due to an outbreak of Corona Virus! They are waiting for a supply of medicines that are reputed to help. There is no Vilani patrol in the system...looks like delivery will be a simple affair.

OK, re: Nelaroi... she can lead, she cannot dominate ...  so she can have things somewhat her way, but isn't going to dominate the Captain.
Many older women imagine having younger lovers, as do most men. Cougar's are just those who take it much further. As the only male aboard, at least 4 of the women would want attention at least once in a while ... I know there are women like Nuns who eschew sex, but these women all came from an existence where sex was prevalent, expected and a normal part of their life. Perhaps they like the environment where they aren't forced, but I doubt they plan to give it up either.

We'll move to the colony and communicate our arrival. We ask that they not send a big crew to help, as we don't need to catch the virus.
We'll use rebreathers and bioplas suits for three of us when we unload, then decontaminate before re-boarding the ship, with assistance from the other two [Nelaroi and Yung No].

We ask that they one or two with the funds near the landing site, so we can verify amounts, and they can verify the things delivered.

True, but you would need to stay far from civilization for a long time before you are the only option!

Nelaroi is happy to lead, though a few times you have to hold her in check a little.

They suggest that you use a small landing zone outside of the atmosphere, where the virus cannot survive. The suggest that you pick up payment when you drop the goods, but ask that your ship not depart until they have verified the goods. You note the landing spot they indicate is nearby a Beam emplacement.

OK, is the beam emplacement limited in bearing in anyway (ie doesn't have 360ยบ field of fire at low angles)? If so, we slip in under it's field of fire and land in a safe blind spot.

If not we suggest that the beam emplacement makes us uncomfortable and we want another spot that isn't threatening ... good business requires some trust but not under the gun.

In reply to Sdian McGuire (msg # 59):

The light turret has a full 360 degree field of fire. Their response is that this is just a precaution, since they are paying you before verifying that the goods are as required, and if they are not, they do not have the cash to pay twice, which would essentially subject them to a disease without a cure. They do apologize for that, but point out that smugglers are not the most trustworthy folk, especially when their lives are at stake.

OK, So back to my suggestion, you send two folks out ...  we verify they amount, but your guys hold it while we put the meds on the ground, you give us the cash  and we establish a relationship. Smart business men never screw their customers, as word gets around.

OOC - with Nelaroi, I am going to make every effort to make sure she has a good time. And that the others hear it ...

Two individuals come out of the base some distance from the turret with a small case, which they place on the ground and then move back. Both are armed.

We land reasonably close to the case, only I will go to look at it, while Luretha and Jurelda open the cargo bay and rig the loading beam to lift and slide the cargo out.  [I am thinking the ship has an overhead trackway with a hoist on it, the track can be extended about 2 -2.5 meters so heavy items can be lifted and loaded/unloaded, Pallets are the preferred means of carrying goods, but odd sized stuff can be loaded too.]

I carefully check the case visually before opening it and verifying the funds are as should be .. I then put everything down in the case, stand up and wave the two men over to the pallet to inspect the goods. I was not aware that these were Terran meds, I thought they were from Girii. Do you have anything to send back?

Payment is in gems, as mining colonies often can, and it all appears to be in order. Though without the ability to appraise, you are not really sure.

The two individuals go over to inspect the cargo, opening it and looking for some time. Then they seem satisfied, and indicate for you to make the exchange.

They indicate that they would like to transfer an odd shipment to a neighboring planet Uriisha. It is not a difficult job, but they can never seem to find traders that want to go there. Pay is just $60,000, but it is a single jump.
