The delivery is intended for the planet. But that is also were the customs patrols will be. The nearest Gas Giant to the planet is 16 days travel away with your speed. More than most ships would do, given you are much faster than most vessels. So heading there? Stealth roll and piloting roll...on behalf of Nelly.

OK, there are 3 Planets... do we know which one we are going to? 16 days from GG to planet is not going to be very stealthy either...

Yeah, it is the one that is 16 days from the Gas Giant. It is not overly stealthy, but if you are drifting most of the way, you will seem as a stray asteroid...not gather too much attention.

So there is no ship there that would notice us? If not, we could just jump in and get lost ... how populated is this place and where are we to meet the customer? He pays us or we get paid back in Vland?

Daku is a small colony of 8 million. The atmosphere is very thin, requiring breathing apparatus but not so than that a space suit is needed. As such, the larger settlements are domes or underground, but outside them there are a variety of agricultural farms and refineries for various low value industries.

Your directions are to head to the main colony planet, and then to travel to near an outback settlement to make the delivery. Payment is pre-paid for this delivery.

That will probably vary. Where do you jump into the system? Will still probably need a stealth roll, though some locations will have worse penalties than others...all will be opposed.

Well the back side of the Main Planet I would suppose, if that is clear of guard ships, otherwise we try to find a place to sneak into before looking for the contact location.

You have no way of knowing where the guard ships are from Uris Belt, 2 parsecs away. We need to get into the system before we try sneaking up on the planet...unless you want to try jumping straight to the planet! Will use the stealth roll when I understand exactly where you are jumping to.

So we will jump to the backside of the main planet due to a vagary in the jump system...  must happen now and then ;-)

assuming no immediate summons, we will drop off our load. We'll configure a set of records saying the two containers go elsewhere and we are picking up asparagus or something for delivery elsewhere.

Planets do not have a back side of a front side. There are six planets that you can jump to Daku from, all jump points are known. The other option is to jump to the Gas Giant. You jump to a planet by aiming at the planet, and it's gravity well takes you out of hyperspace. If you miss the planet, well, who knows where you end up, but the trip back will not be measured in days!

So you are jumping to the planet, or jumping to another object. There is no 'backside' of any planet.

OK, Sorry, I was not interested in the 16 day trip, so we went straight to the planet. Our current story is the two containers are for someplace else less populated and having little value like Ganar. We clear customs and go looking for our contact.

The customs Gashidda meets you as you come out of hyperspace from 300,000 miles away, noting your lack of IFF due to the attempt to stealth. The Patrol demands you stand too despite your claims that your IFF was damaged and is being repaired as you speak, and as it approaches the inspector departs in the shuttle.

Docking with you, three Vilani come through the airlock. Demanding to see your papers. They are surprised when you actually produced them, backing up your claims. When they view them, the forged papers describe two containers of toxic waste, and when they inspect the containers and the warning documents on them, they quickly back away. You are warned to only stop for fuel, and allowed to continue. They report back that your papers are in order, and depart.

Nelly ducks down low, almost to the treeline and below the ridges of the nearby mountains. Heading up the valley she manages to move quickly to the next few sets of hills, making her way to where you understand the drop off point to be. It seems sparsely populated, but Yung is sure of her directions. As you approach the site and begin to slow down, a small clearing is detected. Nelly manages to put the ship down at the edge, and waits to see if you are detected.

A small vehicle approaches. It is wheeled, which is unusual for Vilani. It stops at the treeline beside you. As you power down, no other craft are detected.
