To roll, go to the dice roller from the menu at the top left of the page, select 3d6, and type in the reason, then roll. Compare the result with the skill/ability, such as perception, on your character sheet. Low is good, under your skill hopefully. However, many rolls are opposed, so in that case, I would roll the opposing skill. If you are further under your skill than the opposition is under theirs, you win. Modifiers are usually involved as well.

I have updated the gear available with medical manufacturing plants as well as large scale accommodation blocks for remote locations. Vilani medical tech is TL7 and though these are TL8 (mostly) they are refinements of TL7 tech. However the complexities of using CT and MRI, which are developments of X-Rays but much more complex to use, could mean they will take some time to be accepted.

Terran medical tech is at TL9, so these are still outdated by Terran standards.

OK, I have sort of reviewed a few ships that might be useful for this trip.

The first was the Karl Marx ... Likely a very useful ship to Girii, given the many smaller worlds and the likely hood of pirates, but going to be hard to get approved. Seen as foriegn almost everywhere.

Second is the Sharushid Remote Freighter, 352 M Solars, 1000 dTon Flattened Sphere
Originally designed to service planets off the branch lines that needed larger services than Heros could provide, usually for specific large shipments or very important individuals, these craft are capable of aerodynamic flight as well as safe Gas Giant refuelling, making them excellent for servicing remote locations.
They are capable of significant weapons, making the requirement for an escort unnecessary in times of peace, and they are more economical in terms of purchase price per dTon of cargo and better for crew than Heros, but not as good as the larger branch freighters. They also are cheaper to run per dTon of cargo than the smaller vessels.
(2.1G/move:2069.5, dDR: 10, dHP: 50, Cargo Space:441 dTons, Fuel:200 dTons (2 Parsecs), SM:+10)
2x Ships Boat (Standard), 1 Workshops, 1 Sickbays
8x Hardpoints, Crew:24, PAX: 20 Standard, 10 First, 5 Luxury

Good Crew Space but will require a fair bit of work to adjust the ship for extra ships small craft and instrumentation/labs.

Third was a refurbished Ikaakur Hospital Ship, 498 M Solars, 800 dTon Flattened Sphere
Hailing from the days when the Vilani were explorers, these Hospital ships were designed to assist in dealing with the many plagues that came with meeting new worlds. A fleet of 50 to 100 of these would travel to stricken worlds, combining their laboritories to resolve the problem. There are calls to rebuild the fleet in the light of meeting with Terrans.
(2.39G/move:2229, dDR: 50, dHP: 70, Cargo Space: 20 dTons, Fuel: 2 Parsecs, SM:+10)
Crew:119 (50 medical specialists), Life support: 171
10 Workshops, 50 Bed Hospital, 2 Laboritories
1x Ships Boat (Standard), 1x Ships Boat (Cargo), 1x Ships Boat (Fuel), 2x Ships Boat (Base)
Weapons: 7x Hardpoints

Better armor, good lab facilities and sick bay, way more crew space than needed which should allow for a sizeable increase in Cargo Capacity. This has enough room for all our ships boats already designed in. Also slightly faster and only gives up one hard point to the Bigger Sharushid Remote Freighter. Does appear to be aerodynamic as well, so could skim fuel when needed.

The Converted Hospital ship would be my first choice as it will be seen as much less threatenting.  Finding and purchasing one might be difficult, or the repairs could be extensive.

Correct, the Terran craft will immediately be considered pirate.

The hospital ship is an interesting idea, but remembering that they were designed to service Vilani colonies with diseases, these would be very out of place in this remote location.

The Remote freighter, as discussed in the other thread, is also a plausible design, abd probably second-easiest to explain after the Gashidda in a remote location. But remember that the Vilani are forbidden from exploring, so anything but a warship hunting pirates will be considered illegal beyond the Vilani borders. Is this a complication you are happy to live with?

Ok, have made up a crew for the Explorer Gashidda.

I appreciate misgivings about the vessels suitability, but i feel that a larger ship with a larger crew would be too much, and, if to be honest, too independent. I would like there to be some motivation to get out and take risks in exploring new planets and negotiate with Vilani outposts.

To that end, I have given a skilled crew out of proportion to the size of the vessel. Some Cyril would know, some Gloria would know and others are new. I think we are ready to set off...any specific questions before we go?

Some queries wrt Brutus:
1) While in hypoerspace what would be a reasonable average amount of time per 24h day (taking excessive care not to arouse suspicion) for Brutus to be closeted with Gloria?
2) What's a reasonable average amount of time per 24h day for Brutus to take routine training and drills?
3) is there a list of security folks (with their skills/personalities)?  It's fine if we don't go down to that level. just exploring gasining a feel for the red shirts security team in advance of needing it IG.
4) From whatever security files have been available to Brutus, who on the crew has the skill "Teacher" ?

1) You could easily sneak in when she goes to bed, and out again in the morning. Just don't do it too often and you will be fine. Of course, tongues will eag, but they don't need evidence for that!

2) 8-10 hrs a day is assumed normal for training, maintenance of weapons and generally doing your job.

3) I have actually made character sheets for most of the crew for whom I have made a character, and those are named on the 'Playets Vessels' thread. Feel free to interact with them.

4) Teaching skill...hmm, I usually don't pay it much attention, but a few should have it.

Ok, so looks like Brutus gets about 6 hours a day in which he may improve his never-happy-to-do-nothing self.

So can he gain +1h learning per day in Tactics and same in Strategy from Gloria?

Gloria would need a skill of teaching at 12+ to qualify as a professional teacher, but you can effectively self learn from her. It takes 400 hrs of self learning per point in the skill...so if we do 5 hours a day learning, that would be 15 hours per week in both subjects. So 27 weeks per point in both subjects. AK = Andrew Kalishnakov, although it also refers to his Industries which have become very wide spread and quite Capable.
He has ship designs that challenge or beat hands down, most all Vilani ships and a lot of Terran designs as well. His little empire is actually becoming large, but spread out. in another few decades he is likely to have an up and coming empire of his own that will challenge all the others.

FATE, I see the map, but the little indicators are not present, and I will have to go to the web maps to look at any place. Just so you know.

I have replaced Group 1 map with the original Gashidda. As noted, yours is different. To be honest, I am not sure that map tracks with the original ship specs.

For example, 71 dTons of Fusion reactor, 68 dTons of maneuver drive, 51.5 dTons of cargo, 80 dTons of fuel (admittedly under/over the decks) and just 20 state rooms taking up just 80 dTons. I do not get the impression from the map that accommodation is just 1/5 the volume...

Bear in mind that one dTon = approximately 9 square yards on the map, assuming 2 yard deck head height. Accommodation spaces, including corridors, dining rooms, lounges, life support systems and sleeping quarters, are considered to take up 2 dTons per person for small state rooms. Even with that, the plan lacks a lot of cargo space!

You best back up all you wish to keep, a TB sounds like most of it, but music and pictures eat a lot of space.
The HDD could crap out without warning, and usually at the least oportune time. Prices over there are unknown to me, here a 2 TB Flash Drive is about $120 out the door from a reputable maker. I just bought one this spring.

That does sound grim, Our gas just went back up to $5 a Gallon or around $1.32 a liter. My Tundra P/U likes gas, so I will be using it sparingly.

I also got a laugh out of someone elses Space Game where the Cargo ship was attacked by Space Somali's wearing cheap space suits, occasionaly patched with Duct Tape attacking with three or so cheap boats. All armed with whatever cheap wea[ons they could scrounge.

One of the defenses was to turn off the artificial gravity or to reverse  it, back and forth ten or twelve times.

Possibilities off the top of my head:
Away-team trips to investigate a) crash site, b) a ship floating in space.
Variation on above with distress beacon that could be genuine, pirates or no-one about. (The latter of these three could be no survivors but with bodies; perhaps some sort of trail or message or coordinates written in blood or oil or scratches. Or just plain spooky.)
An interdiction intended for us. or intended for someone else. Or just waiting for anyone to happen along.
Branching out, perhaps a mayday from a priate attack whether on ship or moonbase remains to be seen.

Awesome star map, TY!
Still trying to understand it though.

OK, so Brutus & co are currently in 1734, correct? The map shows that as blank.

We've scanned 1533 (binary system, 3 gas giants), 1534 (single star, 1 gas giant), 1635 (single star, 4 gas giants and a planet in the goldilocks zone).

So, how far can we scan? Will the hexes get updated with the aboves scans? (Or is the scanned info in your campaign only?)

***
Going back to the map, in 1634, wht do these mean:
a) Capital "E" ?
b) Weird symbol of 8 blobs just beneath the "E"?
c) The string "E000000-0"?
d) The String "Ain"?
e) To the right of all the above, a syble looking like saturn?
f) Beneath which the string "NaXX"?

Skipping across a bit, 1734 has a red star and and a white star pm the left. What do they mean?
And 2335 has a red circle around it. What does that mean?

Actually, you are in 1635. 1635 is a single star system with 4 gas giants an a planet in the goldilocks zone.

E refers to the type of starport. You can be pretty sure that is not the same as the one 1000 years ago, in your time. E means that the starport is basically a paddock with minimal services.

You would be best looking at the key. This key is found in the top right hand corner of the map, and has the legend. Beside it are the three lines where you can actually set the Era...

I've looked at the key and it helped, TY!

So star in the NW of a hex = base (of unknown alliance). Correct?

A green line linking 2 hexes is a X-boat route. What does that mean?

I assume the 8 blobs in the middle of a hex mean asteroid belt, correct?
Doe the number of blobs indicate size of the belt?

So the string at the bottom of the hex is a Lacipyt. What is a Lacipyt?
Or, according to the key, it can be a Laiceps. What is a Laiceps?

Remember, that map is based about 1000 years after the Interstellar wars period! So alliances, bases, populations and routes will certainly change, and even names, planet ecology and some greater details may change as well.

Asteroids are indicated by a lot of smaller rocks. I have honestly never counted how many, but it is symbolic.

I suspect what you are looking at is the systems name...in 1,000 years!

Bonny has accumulated some funds which is fine and she will keep. (Aiming to save enough for "Wealthy" and then earn the CP to jsutify/maintain it. This is part of the background of deemonstrating idependence from family and that she isn't chattel.)

Brutus has also accumulated some funds. He's be more interested is doing what he does more effectively so whould spend on better kit.
Thinking here is the listed "Cutting-Edge/Expensive" property, i.e. x2/3 weight, cost x2. Would this be ok for:
  a) Nanoweave Jacket, 3 lbs, $450                                              => 2 lbs, $900
  b) Nanoweave trousers, Legs, Groin 2.8 lbs, $280                 => 2 lbs, $560

  d) Rugged Expensive Solar Battery Charger,$400, 1.6 lbs     => 1 lb, $800
  e) Space Biosuit, 5 lbs $10,000                                                  => 3.5 lb, $20,000

  f) Space Armour DR 75 (listed here), 52 lbs, $20k                  => 35 lbs, $40,000  ?

Yeah, though money is not closely tracked in this game...maybe I should track it a bit more!

But that is highly specialized stuff now, so getting it might prove more of a challenge. I mean, finding it at Rita's Place would be highly unlikely! Finding a tailor on a Vilani world is likely, but finding specially fitted Clamshell and Helmet means you need to get it specially moulded for you. That means you need to work with the factory and a specialist together!

The nearest friendly planet capable of that that you know of would be Girii...

I got it from way back when these threads started, so both are older now.

Ihave gone through 9 pages of threads and find a lot of allusions but no specific ages.  I swear I remember you saying they were 26 when I was 17 ... so 8 to 9 years difference, and Jurelda likely a bit less, as we seem to have hooked up a few times before; or maybe she is somewhat older and finding it harder to get company? That seems less probable.

Nel is older than I am, as is Luretha ... again, amount implied but  not mentioned.  Maybe we should do some die rolls?
Using a real D10:
Nel is 8 years older than I am
Luretha is 5 years older than I am
Jurelda is 6 years older than I am

I discarded any roll of 3 or less, as all these women had a skill it took time to learn.

Jurelda and I have been intimate more than once while she worked with Dad... likely two, perhaps three times.
Nel seems to have baulked at first, but then came over to my way...
Luretha got a bit drunk and we now have a child and she is family as well.
Jurelda has shared my bed/cabin a couple of times since joining up, but still wants to be free to marry and start a family, and so far I am not the guy she wants to do that with.

Bonnie and I seem to have had one fling before she joined the ship and nothing since.

Then there are the two younger women. Gulzina and Leticia.

Yeah, I have always tried to play Jurelda as being the oldest as well though, so for her I would say 2 d 10, for which I rolled a 7, giving 13 years older. That would make sense, as it would put her a bit older than you, enough to be friends with your mother, but still about 10 years younger than her. About between you and your mother, really.

Other than that, the ages seems reasonable. You are 23, Born July 9, 2160, so lets put dates to settle it.

Jurelda, born 02 Feb 2147
Nelaroi, born 15 Dec 2152
Luretha, born 26 May 2155
Gulzina, born 17 Sep 2163
Leticia, born 9 Jun 2164

Gulzat, born 13 Jan 2168, has not been with Sdian and may join Sasha planetside.

I think she should be closer to 6 or so years older... she can still be the leader with little issue, as you have seen young men lead older men rather often. Some excel at it and others don't do so well.

It is written into Sdian's pre-story which you approved. We seem to have split after that and seems to be the basis of the current discussion.
Yung No was unwilling and we both played that out. IIRC you had Nel decide to play withme her way... Luretha seems to have been due to a bit of drink and lowered resistance, although she has hung on.... I am guilty of adding Gulzina, and you of adding Leticia to the Harem.

If you go back to the pre-story, I think it is clear that Jurelda and Sdian had some history together and they trusted each other, the other ladies just followed Jurelda. So I find the current direction a bit awkward/odd/confusing. I gather that Bonnie wants to do Girl on Girl stuff with her...  which isn't a concern.  The age and distance you are now creating is not tracking with my original concept so well.

Ok, could you find the aspect that indicated that she was younger? In my mind, the others trusted Jurelda because she was the older one, and her history with you included your parents. History together does not always equal sleeping together in my books, hence the direction I have taken her.

As far as I can tell, the only real difference we have is what that history involved. I had more of a family friend, whereas you had more of a lover in mind. I don't see any other significant difference, but happy to be corrected if I missed something.

OOC Mk III

Read the first few pages of A SMALL DELIVERY and from the PM NEW GUY this:

Artus had his guys do a quick repaint and altered the hull numbers to match Sdians fake records. Mean while Sdian went to look for any known crew hw could find looking for a ship … he saw Jurelda, a woman who had been crew on his Dad’s ship several times, he knew her pretty well mentally and physically. He called her over,  gave her the “Things aren’t good Look “ and asked if she could recommend any potential crew ready to leave really soon, She smiled “Yup, and they are looking for a capable ship to blow this place as soon as possible as they had had a run in with their captain who was trying to get them barred from crewing.  Sdian smirked and nodded, “Good, then we can skip this place, seems to be the thing to do”.
Crap, frying pan to fire Sdian thought, but he went along and Jurelda personally affirmed Sdian’s ability to run a ship well to the other women standing with their gear and crew bags (Sdian had told her his Dad had been killed and things were grim. The other three women have all held multiple posts, as has Jurelda, so have multiple useful skills:
Jurelda is decent with guns and ship handling and is a cargo master.
Luretha knows power plants and various drives as well as guns and anti-boarding operations.
Yung No has done sensors, comms, power plants, supply and cooking.
Nelaroi was actually ready to be accepted as a Doctor until an instructor found her following Terran medical guidance and she was summarily ejected from the medical profession and barred from practicing. She is a good pilot and a fine cook as well as an excellent Doctor, although not licensed.
Their previous ship they had been on was a Sharushid Remote Freighter and it was getting ready to jump. Sdian told them his ride was going to be a whole lot smaller.  He led them back to the Junk yard, which got all of them asking questions, until he led them to the spiffy little Iiken.
They quickly stowed their gear and started familiarizing themselves with this little ship. Sdian squared up with Artus, thanked him for his help and told him he’d be on the lookout for stuff Artus could use. They closed up, verified they were sealed and lifted off, sliding into the departure routine and headed for a jump point, then they initiated the jump and made it out to Suken and thence to Gikir and on to Girii, avoiding the growing issues between Girri and Lemrukiri on the way in, but stuck on Girii thereafter because of it.  Sdian started looking for new work, as did Jurelda and others.

Then down further:  I have made an assumption that most captains will only accept women who aren't averse to being hit on and will put out some at least ... tight confines and long slack periods mean an uppity female rights type is just a big headache. So all these girls have been between the sheets with some regularity, or as they say, "Good girls, not nice girls". Some have issues because of it.

Then on 20mFeb 2021 - Then there comes the question about Jurelda...spare points for an ally? Maybe next adventure!

Yes, I'd do that ... which would furthermy take on things I think....

Yeah, read all of that. Bearing in mind she had been crew on his dads ship several times, and he was just 17 at that time, she had to be quite a few years older. But other than that, there is nothing to suggest that she is younger than the age I have given him.

I let my daughter sleep in the same bed when she has nightmares, but I can guarantee there is nothing sexual about it. If she had been with his Father (or Mother!) that would still very much fit the description of not being adverse to being hit on.

Nothing against her being an ally, as would be likely if she was looking after him because she knew his parents. Ally is about loyalty, not just sleeping together, as most Allies in Northport can attest to...

Accept that, but still do not see anything suggesting she was less than 13 years older than Sdian. Am I still missing something?

Yeah this is where we part perception. I just don't see how you get this from above, much less consider it canon. It's in Sdian's write up as a part of his character sheet... you could have made any of the other older back then ... but he put that in his back ground as a reason to feel trust with Jurelda.  Intimacy is quite different from being showered by an adult, speaking from some experience all those many years ago...  I do not want her to be so far out of my age bracket ... there is a reason we work well together. It is not because she my my mother substitute.

I understand you want her a certain way, but I just don't see any history to support it, when I have always played her as an older woman and a friend of your parents. Besides, she needed credibility to vouch for your ability to run a starship, as per your bio, and a 25 to woman would lack that. The background reason to trust each other was that you knew each other. As I said before, if there is anything I missed, happy to reconsider, but she was and is an NPC, not even an Ally, and I think I have been pretty generous in how much I have let you define and control her so far. There are very few occasions a GM will allow a player to veiw NPC sheets, let alone have a big part in defining them, when no points have been spent on said individual. I had her as being older to give credibility in those crucial early years, and a friend of your parents to explain loyalty. Am I being unreasonable in this?

OK, I can live with it, but will be extracting the points I spent on rank and such.

The rank table is skewed some (screwed some) as who ever put it together has never been in the military.

Ensign and Lieutenant Junior Grade are officers who command portions of the crew and have specific tasks they are responsible for, But Navigation, Engineering and fire control are positions for more senior officers whose ranks depends on the size of the ship or command. I the Army these are normally platoon leaders or Company XO.s

A Lieutenant is about the lowest rank to command a small ship, ... this equal to an Army Captain who commands about 200 soldiers
Lt Cdr is typical for a small escort or several smaller ships. .... only rare commands for Majors in the Army, but are Bn XOs.

Cdr is posted to merchants, support ships, heads departments and as XO to larger ships  ...  LTC in the Army, commands a Battalion of 800 to 1200 men, depending of type of unit.

But to command a Light cruiser and up to a super dreadnougt requires a Captain. Captains also command larger groups of escorts.
The Army rank is Colonel and often commands a Brigade or holds some senior staff position.

The same points are still spent. Commodore just needs more points, you are still tank 6, which is higher than recommended for adventurers.

My experience in the military actually ties in pretty well with that. Lieutenant Commanders usually command smaller craft such as patrol boats (crews <50). Commanders usually command larger craft such as Frigates, destroyers, oilers or Auxiliary craft (crews up to about 200), and Captains usually command capital ships, possibly including aircraft carriers, but we don't have any of them. A captain can take a smaller vessel for a specific mission, such as this one, but it is not so common. Army typically has a lot more men for their rank.

1x AK Modular SR Fighter Mk II, 1x AK Modular Fighter, 1x AK Modular SR Combo Fighter, 2x AK Modular SR Plasma Drone, 3x AK APC, 2x AK Light Modular Tank, 1x AK Mod Surveyor, 1x AK Modular Auto Survey Sensor package,
</Blue>
...

Small Craft (Total Cargo Space 2.2 dTon)

2 x AK Modular SR Plasma Drone, 10 M Solars, 6 dTon Flattened Sphere
Only the tank has heavier armour, and nothing has a heavier weapon! Battery powered, but it is not intended for extended missions. Drone for remote operation, further decreasing accuracy by -2.
(6G/Move:2551, dDR:30, dHP: 21, SM:+4, Endurance: 100 rounds, 48 F cells)
Weapons: 1x Fixed Plasma Cannon

1 x AK Modular SR Combo Fighter, 12 M Solars, 6 dTon Flattened Sphere
This battery powered fighter has two missiles and a beam, but minimal armour.
(6G/Move:2201, dDR:10, dHP: 19, Cargo Space: 0.03 dTons, SM:+4, Endurance: 200 rounds, 58 F cells)
Weapons: 1xBeam, 2xMissile, Crew:1

1 x AK Modular SR Fighter Mk II, 13 M Solars, 6 dTons Flattened Sphere
The same as the previous small fighter but with batteries reorganized to fit more in, allowing a more powerful weapon, this version has 4 banks of 24 F Cells plus one backup cell for life support providing a range of 8 million miles. The smaller size of the cells allows for greater drive and hence greater armour and weapons than the fusion cell fighters. They work very well in planetside combat roles, being effective tank killers.
(8G/Move:3225, dDR:29, dHP: 22, SM:+4, Endurance: 100 rounds, 97 F cells)
Weapons: 1xBeam Weapon, Crew:1

1 x AK Modular Fighter, 16 M Solars, 6 dTon Flattened Sphere
This high speed fighter can outrun missiles. It is otherwise lightly armed and armoured.
(8G/Move:2343, dDR:10, dHP: 18, SM:+4)
Weapons: 1xPulse, Crew:1

2 x AK Light Modular Tank, M$ 13 Solars, 6 dTon Flattened Sphere
Fully space capable, this vehicle is like a slow heavily armed fighter.
(2G/1918.5 Move, dDR:65 All around, HP:25, SM:+4, ASig:-2)
Weapons: 1xBeam, 1xGatling Laser, Crew:2 (Life Support:2)

3 x AK Modular APC, 6.6 M Solars, 6 dTons Flattened Sphere
The same size as the small fighters, this is actually a small spacecraft with life support for 5, a sickbay and heavy armour. Capable of supporting small insertions for long periods of time, it has limited cargo space. It has a sickbay and Bunks as life support for 5, but an carry 10 for insertions.
(2G/Move:1607, dDR:49, dHP:22, Cargo Space: 0.6 dTons, ASig: -2, SM:+4, Air Speed 3214 mph),
Weapons:1x Gatling Laser

1 x AK Modular Surveyor, 9M, 6 dTon Flattened Sphere
This small craft has a sickbay and a single biology laboratory, and life support for 5 members. It also has a setup for dehydrating food to preserve it.
(1G/Move:804, dDR:10, HP: 132/170, Cargo Space: 0.4 dTons, SM:+4)
Sickbay, Laboratory (Biological), Life Support: 5, Weapons: 1x Gatling Laser, Crew:4, Endurance: 22 Weeks

1 x AK Modular Speeder, 5.5 M Solars, 6 dTons Flattened Sphere
This is more of an enclosed Air raft to be used in the 6 dTon flattened sphere bays as an auxiliary cargo boat with life support for the two crew. The new one has a patented mini-fusion reactor.
(2G/Move 1270, dDr:12, dHP:16, Cargo space: 3.5 dTons, SM:+4)

You have not specified which fighters you have taken, which you probably should, but these are the options.

You and the survey craft are currently in the upper atmosphere, say 25,000 t to 40,000 ft. They would like to cut that to about 5,000 ft to 10,000 ft to get under most of the smoke clouds.

But Gloria told him to take the Lt Tank to protect the other lighter fighters and the survey craft. It's a much sturdier craft and should dispatch bug fighters with ease.

Re: OOC Mk III

So it's this one?

AK Light Modular Tank, M$ 13 Solars, 6 dTon Flattened Sphere
Fully space capable, this vehicle is like a slow heavily armed fighter.
  (2G/1918.5 Move, dDR:65 All around, HP:25, SM:+4, ASig:-2)
  Weapons: 1xBeam, 1xGatling Laser, Crew:2 (Life Support:2)

Crew presumably are:
Pilot: Skill Piloting (?space?) Or is another still required?
Gunner: Skil with Beam or Laser. (What is the difference?)

Happy to have a standard SOP. Best to give orbits in yards or miles, as appropriate. Just don't expect to see minute detail from 10 miles away...they don't even do that in Star Trek, which is more advanced that this game. People can hide in that genre, so they can certainly hide in this genre.

If the minimum orbit is 93 miles on earth, the altitude would be that number adjusted by planet diameter and gravitational pull ( some planets are denser that others, thus more gravity).

As it turns out, it wasn't a Cold ...it was Covid. Only the Lord knows where I contracted it, as all the possible locations were clean.
I of course gave it to my wife. Since we had all our shots and were put on Paxlovid quickly, we both seem to have had a pretty mild case.
I tested negative yesterday, but she has a few more on the medications.

It does take a lot of starch out of you and thinking seems to get cluttered too. Anyway, I am hopefully back to normal, or at least close.

So far so good... next I get to deal with chemo therapy, which sounds hideous. We shall see, as my wife wisely pointed out, the sheet listing all the ill effects seems to be generic for all types of Chemo and supposedly the one I get is rather easy to handle.   Where have I heard that line before?
