Well if they fell out into the walk way or there was something behind a bulkhead in that Cabin that needed immediate repair... Very, Very unlikely, but it did happen once due to an engagement with a pirate.

"If you are going into a combat zone, you will have more than pirates to worry about."

The agreement made, the letter is provided and the goods loaded. Two will want proper cabins, but the other 4 can have bunks. Who is where? By my count, you have 7 cabins and 10 bunk beds. Last I checked, current accommodation was
Sdian, Nelly, Luretha, Leticia and Gulzina, 2 cabins
8 children/ infants, 1 cabin set up as nursery
Saasha and Mingo, + infant, 1 cabin
Duran and Jenni, + infant, 1 cabin

Two pax, 2 Cabins
4 Male PAX, bunks?

That leaves Bonny, Jurelda, Gulzat and Tanya to share the bunks with 4 guys for a week?

Iishu, 19 May 2183, supplies 8,700 person-days basic food, consuming 200 person-days food per week, usual starship fees $5000 + $3200, Cash: $5,438,986. Spare Cargo space: 8/18

Cargo: 2000 doses of Kulikasu and Ushkiirga, and 1,000 doses of Urshaggim.

1 Pax with 4 dTon of cargo for Nunushi, $10,000
5 PAX with 5 dTons of personal effects for Sikigi, $50,000

Job for the Terran navy to scout out the forces at Iishu, Nunashi, Sikigi, Dzosuuken and Eneldun by May 2183. $500,000.

Re: The Minnow II in the borderlands

OK, My understanding was the Nursrey was NOT a cabin... it was a fenced off area where they could play safely, likely in or near the bunk area or common room/kitchen.

We will move some stuff around. As I understood it, Sdian's Cabin was oversized as the captain's place.
However We could put the 4 ladies in the Cargo Shuttle for the week. it has 10 unused bunks.

Since I gather we have one officer and one PO who would NEVER share a room ... and would NEVER sleep in the same area as the troops.

In reply to Sdian McGuire (msg # 952):

It took up a cabin space. Sleeping for four 4 yo and 2 infants is going to take up a lot of room...1 cabin space would be pushing it normally! Whether an actual cabin, fitted out for kids as originally discussed, or the space for one on not important...the existence replaces a cabin in the layout. But you have 7 cabins, 5 of which may be available if Bonny did not get one. Did she and Jurelda normally share a cabin?

Sdian and his four ladies share 2 cabins originally designed for 4, so while well fitted out, neither officer nor PO know you well enough to share a room with you, or each other. You are right, the PO does not want to share with his 4 troops a bunk, but the PO and officer might be convinced to share a double cabin.

and as suggested...        We could put the 4 ladies in the Cargo Shuttle for the week. it has 10 unused bunks.

FWIW, I believe Bonnie and Jurelda did move things  around a bit so they could share a cabin.

In reply to Fate (msg # 955):

The ship has 10 bunks, the Cargo shuttle also has 10 bunks. so we clear a cabin for the Officer and the PO, the ladies get the bunks on the cargo shuttle which can be locked to prevent a trooper from stumbling in while looking for the fresher. Seems simple enough to me...

Re: The Minnow II in the borderlands

No, It's missing all the bunks in either the ship or the cargo shuttle. Each has 10 bunks. At least that wa how I have always understood it. We had 10 bunks even before we had a nice cargo shuttle.

Or we could go with the Ship layout which has 10 cabins... plus the shuttle with 10 bunks  too.

In reply to Sdian McGuire (msg # 960):

As per players Vessels thread, the ship never had bunks; only those in the shuttle were ever used. Happy for you to show me a post that says otherwise, but all the designs I have indicate that. Though with 4 wives in a cabin it is close...but at least I can see the source of confusion now.

Details can be important, depending on how thing roll. Troops would definitely try to have fun with Gulzat...and people may talk in their sleep. Like dates, for example...

You jump to Nunashi, finally. The forces there are more scattered and not as significant as at lishu, and you are met by a Gashidda, backed by a pair of Shamshirs, but the presence of more Shamshirs is obvious. 10 in all.

You are directed to dock directly with the Shamshir that the officer is deploying on, before delivering his vehicle to the planet starport.

Arrival at Sikigi, you see a unit of Kidashi cruisers, supported by 10 Shamshirs and commanded by a Vegan Carrier! As you are coming in to land on the Carrier, as directed, the PO and his men are at the loading dock with their gear. He approaches you and asks quietly

Interesting... I'd ask why you were taking the ship apart, but obviously you feel entitled. I have no clue as to why it's there. It's obviously worth something to somebody, so I'll have to investigate. Did you want some of it? I don't need a crew in here disassembling things to see if there is anything else, although I expect I'll be doing that during our next jump if we avoid the whole Vilani Navy getting involved.
