The Empire strikes back
In reply to Cyril Zotmund (msg # 656):
As Cyril familiarizes himself with the ships systems during the hyperspace trip, the rest of the crew follow his example.
By the time you come to Chrysolite, you are at home with the ships systems. After the Dastavka, it seems little bigger than a fighter. The planetary patrol craft is a modified Karl Marx fitted to act as an escort carrier, and it sits on the far limit of the planet to make an easier escape if outgunned. A quartet of fighters clear you soon after arrival, with a warning to follow all rules and keep your noses clean.
Chrysolite is an ancient world, with a very high proportion of it's atmosphere saturated with water. Spectacular lightning storms greet your approach. Despite the fact that this probably houses more colonists than all the other colonies in this sector combined, with the exception of Thalassa, it seems rather an inhospitable place. 52,000 people call this planet home, and it is known as the unofficial base of exploration into the new worlds beyond.
Mesa is the planets only large town of significance, and it houses a bar known as the Golden Stone, renown as the place to meet explorers. It is on the shores of a large lake.
