The Empire strikes back

Once all the fighting has ceased, you land at Governor Inistrati's starport. Captain Maya commends you all for jobs well done, and asks if anyone objects to Mnwa being given the status of honorary Petty Officer, given his performance in the recent fight. The ships boat, operating in fire support, was damaged by ground fire, and the Dastavka was extensively damaged in the battle with the cruiser as well.

Paid for transport: 5 mill
Paid for leading to victory: 15 mill
Paid for Fighter: 20 mill
Paid for capture of enemy: 2 mill
You pay for 1 months wages for the crew: 352,800
Put aside to pay for fighter: 16 mill
Put into Ships fund reserve: 2 mill

You will be expected to pay tax of 10% of your Nett planetary earnings, but Duke has a way to spend some cash before you do that.

As ships Engineer, Duke analyzes what can be salvaged from the wreckage. There is a lot of armour that can be salvaged, but fewer other items, such as power supplies, computers and engines. He figures the best use of the parts, without spending a LOT of cash, would be to modify the ships boat to accommodate a heavily armoured custom APC. He comes up with some design changes for the ships boat, which include modifying the Dastavka to handle a larger ships boat. After a lengthy presentation for which he calls you all in, he proposes to increase the ships boat by 10 dTon, increasing the armour from 13 dDR to 36 dDR and increasing the Accommodation to include 30 bunks, as the ships complement has increased. He also proposes gathering parts from the damaged vehicles to create a heavily armoured and tracked APC, with life support and a Medi-bay for extended and subtle future planatary operations. Engine size and power plants have been increased to accommodate this without a loss of speed.

He is also looking at removing 130 bunks now they have transported the troops to increase the cargo hold space again. This change back was not included in the original agreement, and would still leave Dastavka room for 70 guests in very basic accommodation.

The cost of his modifications can be completed here for just 14,580,000.
