Here are some posting guidelines:

1. Please write in third person past-tense.  Example:  He drew his pistol and pumped two shots into the wounded coyote.

2. Use quotes around your dialogue.

"I'm done with your nonsense," he said, then drew his pistol and pumped two shots into the psionic mutant coyote.

3. Separate your dialogue from the rest of your text by a space so it's easier to read, like

Long description about how raven black my character's hair is.

"My hair is most raven black, don't you agree?" she murmured, her voice husky and low.


4. Note your character's location in orange text, so people have a clear idea of what's happening especially when your character is changing locations

From Johnny's Bar & Grill -> The Parking Lot

Old Shep pushed open the tavern door and stepped out into the parking lot.  His hand went to the pearl-handled grip of his Colt Peacemaker.  "Git yer damn butt off my car," he growled.

Or

Underneath the overpass

Hawk clambered down the embankment. "Guys!  Guys?"
